Amanda did this. She has no one to blame but herself. But she’s determined to live at all costs and must face her demons to do it. Leaving her school and friends feels like giving up, succumbing to defeat. But dealing with her buried rage is a full-time endeavor and she moves home to reset her life.
Knowing she’s made the right decision, Amanda still worries that her life may never be the same. What about college, the boyfriend she promised to marry? And piecing things back together proves to be a long and winding road.

I honestly have no idea where to start with this review.. this is the finale in the Being Me series and it was incredible. I've followed Amanda's journey through these books and it really has been an emotional journey.. I'm extremely sad that this series has ended but I'm kind of hoping for a book on Zack!!!! This book tackles issues that are extremely difficult, having an eating disorder is not just physically harmful, it's also mentally harmful. I love how Tricia Copeland brought her characters to life, I loved how she has written about such a difficult subject with class, with dignity and with a lot of heart. She is definitely one of my favourite authors. I love how although Amanda has been through so much, she can fight for who she is, for what she wants, and she even knows when it's best to let go.. I could not put this book down, I laughed, I cried and my heart broke for Amanda. That ending is perfect, I would not have changed anything. Well done Tricia for writing an incredible, heartwarming and heartbreaking story. I'm looking forward to what is next! #2OCCAB
Amanda is forced to face her demons after months of walking the edge of keeping it together. To do so, she has to accept some things she can't change and walk away from relationships she holds dear. When someone breaks, you really see the depth of their character. This is especially true for Amanda. And I love a strong female spirit, one that doesn't take the easy way out. And there's nothing easy about Amanda's breaking point and resulting backlash.
All the supporting characters--Doug, Zack, friends, parents, sisters--play a part in Amanda rebuilding her life, and not all of them in the way I thought they would. And as much as a reader might love a main character, it's all the supporting ones that make the whole experience truly memorable. But, in the end, it's about Amanda trusting her own instincts and standing strong without a crutch.
And let's face it... the final book in the series is what you walk away with, the lasting impression. And Tricia Copeland makes everything worthwhile. Although Amanda's journey has been rocky, it's worth every moment in this satisfying conclusion.
If you are a reader who wants a whole series out before you start, take the time now to invest in Being Me. You'll appreciate the journey.

This was my favorite book from the Being Me series. Tricia Copeland did a great job of writing about some difficult issues and having Amanda resolve them all in the end. I especially love love love that she had Amanda find her own strength and value apart from her relationship with Doug. It sends a powerful message to her readers. We do not need to find our own personal value through our relationship with others. Once we find our own strength, these relationships will naturally fall into place. I applaud Tricia Copeland for wanting to spread this message to her readers. I think it is one that everyone should be reminded of every once in a while.

Being Me was a great, emotional read. My heart just broke for Amanda and the struggles she went through. I was so happy she commited to her recovery. I had no idea this was the finale of a series, it stood on its own so well. Being Me made me want to go back and read the entire series.

This book is the final in its series of Being Me. Amanda comes a long way and shows she can be independent and brave and level headed. She really does a lot of growing up in this book and I’m proud of her for that. She makes huge decisions and face consequences to some. I’m happy she got her happy ever after, I was hoping for Zack but I guess Doug will do. He did some growing up as well. And proved he is worthy of having Amanda in his life.
Being Me is the finale to the Being Me series. In some ways it was the most hard to write. How do you show a real characters evolution and growth in a substantial way? It couldn't just be all puppies, rainbows, and unicorns, whose life is? This book sees Amanda finding her strength and transforming herself into the woman she wants to become.
