Alyssa Is A Black Woman Living In A White World... Now She's Falling For A White Man...
Alyssa Parker has just opened her own business in the fashion world. She feels that she needs a new start. Her career on the ice was over and she had no desire to strap on a pair of skates again. She was depending on word of mouth and that gave her a modest living. She was still struggling and her parents were on the cusp of losing the family farm. She had to do something and then Colleen Gillis answered her silent prayers. She had a client in the NHL that had lost his touch. At first, Alyssa is reluctant, but she knows that being a black woman in a white man’s world was a never ending climb to success. She needs a break and she feels that she can be of use to Wayne Holland. She had never been attracted to white men, but that suddenly changes when she gets a look at Wayne on the ice. She sees that he is dealing with something important and he’s not an easy man to crack.
Can she keep things professional, or is she destined to break the golden rule about never getting involved with those that you work with?
It really makes me angry when an IR BWWM story is only 4 percent of the book. Then to be even more insulting, the bonus books are not IR stories. That is absolutely unacceptable to me. Don't bother publishing an IR story that is only 4 percent of the whole book and the remaining 96 percent is mostly non IR, BWWM, and is awful. Be upfront if less than 75 percent of a story is actually in the story. I don't want bonus stories in my IR books. Especially when the stories are not even close to being classified as good. There was only 1 other IR BWWM story in this book. It was longer and better written than the main first story but not by much. This is like when congress and the Senate put "pork" or something that has nothing real to do with a bill. I do not like it at all.
