THREE CLOSING STARS!!

Super quick, short read! :D

I really love the fact that Dani was dark skin, essentially making this an interracial relationship :)

It was at a nice pace for the length of the book and I love how free Dani was and how Ethan was taken to her from the moment he saw her. These kind of relationship, where one go in as a job or faking it only to come out with love (or even if it stops at lust) is my kind of thing. lol

The only thing I didn't like is that, instead of experiencing things during the read, or observing the way a character is, this book is written in such a way that the author tells you what happens or happened. I like to draw my own when I'm reading, to get the thrill of mystery - whether it's small or not, and this, for me, didn't have it.

Overall, it was a mellow read that I enjoyed ^_^

It took me to the end of chapter one to get into the story, but once I was in, I stayed there until I have finished every word that was written. By the end of chapter two, I got my mini movie playing in my head.
There a surprises through out this book, some are large whilst others are small. Some you may see coming while others you won't. Some will even pull on your heart strings. But each and everyone holds equal importance within the story.
Emotions run high at times in this story. Each one can be felt, in fact I went through them along with the characters.
Jen A. Durand is a new author for me. I look forward to reading mre orii

This is another sweet romance story from this author. It’s not an overly long book and so easy to read in just over an hour or so. This author has quickly become one of my favorites due to the believable and interesting characters who always have some depth to them. The situations are never outlandish and give the plot a down to earth feeling. I really enjoyed reading this book. On to the next one by this great author.

Closing the Deal is about a rich, successful man needing a date to his sister’s upcoming wedding. His desperation has him seeking out an escort that came highly recommended. Our heroine is extremely smart, beyond beautiful and has the charm that can melt hearts.

This book has a little Pretty Woman feel to it but set in today’s world. I loved that Dani is such a strong person in her beliefs and decisions. She knows she could lose her heart to Ethan but is willing to walk away if necessary. I really enjoyed Ethan’s character. He knows he wants Dani from the get go and does what is necessary to keep her by his side.

There is very little drama in Closing the Deal and is fun to sink into. The supporting characters aka mothers and sister are as realistic as they come. This is my first book by Jen A. Durand and I encourage you to read Closing the Deal. This is a perfect book to be introduced to her writing. I am now adding more of her books to my TBR list.

Ms. Durand writes stories that appeal to the moral compass in her readers. Thought provoking, emotional and not always black and white in the message or choices of the characters. Closing The Deal, although a love story is not the usual boy meets girl journey. Ethan is a highly successful man that has the world at his feet. Yet, one unorthodox choice has him head over heels and running out of options on how to seal the deal. Dani has made some tough decisions in her life but she has a good heart and a determined soul, she just got a bit lost along the way. Total opposites face heartache, forbidden attraction, discrimination and tough choices all in the name of love.

Got free for honest review.

First time reading from the author.
I have always loved escort of some type. Specially when they fall in love. I thought the story was well written and had a nice steady pace for the first part of it. The characters pulled you into liking them and wanting to know more about them. Ethan and Daniela I think have a good start of a chemistry building between them. Loved the light Steamy parts. Can't wait to read more of their story.
A new author to add to my reading list to keep a eye out for.
Thank you for letting me read part of the series.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.

Ethan and Dani met under different circumstances. She had a job to do, and he had a mission to accomplish. Upon first meeting, both became well aware that this would not be as cut and dry as they first thought...and it wasn't.

The author did an excellent job of pulling together two strangers to build a story that doesn't turn into the traditional "boy meets girl" story. This is a quick, easy read, but it definitely holds your interest. A five star read, for sure.

A handsome and rich workaholic needs a date to attend his sister’s wedding and let his mother know that he is unavailable for any future relationship. He calls an agency that sends him a beautiful escort who besides being gorgeous also happens to be very smart. Their attraction to one another is obvious and soon it will be clear that she has stolen his heart. This is a surprising book, pervaded by romanticism. The characters are both down to earth but essentially they are very alike. Many intense moments with some steamy scenes. I highly recommend this book, definitely worth reading.

This is short sweet romantic story. Ethan is charming and sweet. Dani is peppy with a great sense of humor. The others characters are very interesting. There's no real angst in the story, just romance and meddling relatives. It's a nice relaxing book.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest opinion of it.

This is my first book by this author.

I enjoy escort stories so I was interested to read this one. This is a short sweet story of Ethan and Monroe, falling in love whilst trying to deceive Ethan's family that he was really in love.

A sweet quick read.

The main character in this story is Ethan Adams, a self-made millionaire lawyer, with an exacting work ethic. Basically that’s all he does. His younger sister is getting married back in Australia and his mum is getting desperate for him to get married as well. To stop a week-long visit, with his mother setting him up on dates all the time, he arranges for an escort to accompany him. The escort is called Daniela Monroe, highly educated, tri-lingual and also studying for her MBA. He wanted someone well educated and bilingual, and Daniela is certainly more than he expected. Her only condition is that there will be no sex!

She comes from a large family, of hard-working parents who have a great marriage. She wants more of the same, but is using her escort money to put herself through college and also help to support her siblings through school. She gets on well, straight away, with all of his family and everyone she meets, especially his mother. The only snag is they are expected to share his childhood bedroom, rather than have the separate bedrooms in a local hotel, that they had expected. To suddenly have a woman brought home, is setting his mother’s every wish and want, come true.

Nearing the end of the week long work engagement, Daniela can no longer ignore the connection she has with Ethan. She will be breaking all of her rules if she goes ahead with it, but life is short. She expects nothing from him, but who knows what the future will bring? She is one of the most intriguing women he has ever met, but he is a workaholic and finds that hard to stop, to even pay her enough attention. Not the way to get a woman to stay with you, especially one as talented and beautiful as Daniela. He may think he can make a new deal with her on their return to the States, but he will need to change his tune, if he has any hope of keeping her interested.

An interesting rework of the Pretty Woman story, with an escort having a chance of a lifetime, and a workaholic having to realise there is more to life than just work. An interesting rework of the tale, with two great characters working together for a common cause, a ruse to prevent further interference in his life. But with loving families on both sides and even friends who look out for them. A great little read, which takes no time at all to read, even though it is just over two hundred pages long. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.

This is my first read by this author, and I must say that I quite enjoyed the storyline and the characters. It is.a sweet, opposites attract romance between business man Ethan and escort Dani. These likeable characters and the unique plot make for an entertaining read. What starts out as a business arrangement turns into something more. It is a romantic adventure with enough drama, steam, frustrating moments, sweetness, family dynamic, twists and turns, and engaging secondary characters to keep the reader interested. An easy read with a happy ending.

Deal Maker

I have to say, this was a hot and steamy read. The chemistry between Dani and Ethan is both hot and extremely sexy. They’re a shining example of what love can do in a relationship.

I’m a big fan of Jen Durand’s. And I’m looking forward to seeing more and even possibly new things from this artist.

This is definitely not your typical boy meets girl story. Ethan and Dani are total opposites he's a very successful businessman and she's the escort he hires to attend his sister's wedding with him in order to avoid his mother trying to fix him up with anyone. Ethan doesn't foresee any problems when he makes the arrangement until he gets to know her. Can he talk her into a new deal? What I liked about this book was that it was thought provoking it really made you think about things.

This is the story of Daniela and Ethan. He needs a date for his sister’s wedding to stop his mom’s scheming to get him hitched. Hiring Daniela to be his escort to the wedding is genius until his heart gets involved. I enjoyed this story. I received an arc of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
