The Baby Game by Andie M. Long the funniest Five-star read I have ever read. Veronica Taylor may be battier than a fruit cake, but she is also by far the funniest character I have ever read, I loved her in the previous books in the Alpha series, The Alphabet game, the Alphabet wedding and the Calendar game, any woman who turns up to be maid of honour in an Elsa dress, is a legend in my eyes. I didn’t think it was possible to laugh so hard, I snorted red wine from my nostrils and the warning is true you need a Tena lady to read this book!!
Poor Harry Taylor didn’t really take on board what he was marrying when him and Ronnie wed, sure he knew she had her quirks, they met in rehab. But I don’t think he was anticipating this level of cray-cray. When Ronnie finds out they are in the family way, after they agreed to wait a couple of years to enjoy time together alone, she does what seems normal to herself, she pretends that she is doing a documentary about eating junk food, but she does it with the best intentions. Harry hasn’t always been the settled and sorted hottie ex-footballer he is now, and his mum has finally agreed to go on a once in a life time trip with her son. As any good daughter in law knows, you don’t upset your mother in law, (believe me mine still won’t talk to me 10 years later, so I totally get Ronnie).
In true Ronnie fashion, much hilarity ensues and she proves that just the right amount of crazy really does make the best mix. I would love for Ronnie to be a real person, I would stalk her in real life just to make sure we would get along if things developed as that’s totally normal, isn’t it?
Must say you have to read after the end to understand the genius mind that the funny and amazing Ronnie comes from.
