People have always suspected Yorick Todd of being gay. He's not, and he has an ex-girlfriend and a four-year-old daughter to prove it. Working at a male strip club is downright awkward, even if he loves being a DJ. When a friend is DJing at a gay club one evening, Yorick goes along as a show of support, but he's not comfortable -- especially after Wright, the blond, built ex-Marine he works with, asks him to dance. Wright Dixon enjoys his job as a flair bartender, and his support dog helps him deal with the scars still left from his time in the service. He can’t resist Yorick's dark, slender good looks, so he’s willing to be patient in the face of the other man’s resistance. But even though Wright is open about his sexuality, he has secrets of his own that he can't bear to expose. Will Yorick finally admit the attraction between them? And if he does, can his acceptance heal Wright's hidden shame? Exposed is the fifth book in the Tool Shed series of gay romance novels. It has a happily ever after ending and can be enjoyed as a standalone or as part of the collection.

I love this series. At first I didn't like Yorick very much but in the end I loved him. I understand being so far in the closet they you yourself don't realize you're gay but he did not have to treat Wright the way he did. I also wondered if he had been living under a rock all his life because how else would he have the idea that having a kid meant you couldn't be gay. Wright I loved from the start and hated that he felt shamed and embarrassed about his leg, his ex was a real a**whole. Jamie was adorable and a handful, she's gonna give them hell in about 10 years. Once again A.R wrote an amazing book and I can't wait for the next one, 4.5 stars. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

OMG THIS BOOK WAS SO EMOTIONAL, FOR SOMEONE TO FINALLY REALISE WHO THEY REALLY ARE.
Yorick is the DJ at the Tool Shed strip club. He is happy to be working 5 nights a week and to look after his daughter Jamie. He wasn't overly happy that it was a strip club surrounded by half dressed men as he had always been bullied about being gay, but he wasn't. After all he was a father and had slept with a woman before. It started when he was very young and even his parents though he was gay but he just didnt think that way. And tonight he was going to see his best friend DJ at a club, a gay club but he promised he would go. And who would he see when he was there? But everyone from the club, the strippers, the bouncer and the dam bartender. He had spent some time getting to know Wright that was until he found out he was gay. But everyone at the club was Gay and it was just Jesse would was Bi but now they are all in relationships together. But when Wright asked him to dance he wasn't overly nice to him telling him no and that he wasn't gay what was it about him that made people keep thinking he was GAY????
Wright had a lot of baggage. He had been in the military and he lost his leg by a IED. he was lucky to survive but when he got back he was really hurt by someone he loved so now he doesn't want anyone to know about his leg. But that doesn't stop him from having feelings about Yorick. But he knows he will have to be patient but that is easily said than done. Why cant he see what wright sees In him??
This is a beautiful story about a man learning about who he really is. How childhood bullying changed the way he looked at himself. Its about finding friendship and being excepted for who you are. I am totally loving this series and if honest every book that I have read is my favourite but this one is by far my favourite. Its just so heart felt. It just made my heart sing. I couldnt put it down I was totally addicted to their story. Its just beautiful. This book is more than just passion its about chemistry and finding your soul mate. I just want to restart this book again its brilliant. But I'm so looking forward to the next book its going to be so good!!!

At first I wasn't so sure about this novel. The main character is Yorick and he is portrayed as homophobic. He makes multiple references to "normal people" being straight and he doesn't want to associate with any gay or bisexual people in case they get the wrong idea about his sexuality. I did not like how he acted, and when he was asked to dance he rejected the other main character, Wright very poorly. I also hated that his go to response if anyone ever questioned his sexuality, was I'm straight, I have a daughter. And his best friend calls him out on this, but this line of his fell flat after the 50th time he said it. I was like I get it, enough.

I enjoyed Yorick and Wright's connection. I think Wright was a really well though out character; he showed a lot of empathy toward Yorick who hurt him multiple times with his 'straight guy' tendencies.

SPOILER

Eventually we find out that he is gay. And he does have a great break through in character, but I just wish there was more explanation. There really is no valid reason why he has repressed his sexuality. His parents and friends have always said "love is love" and he has their support. He mentions that he was called names when he was as young as 8, but there wasn't enough information behind this to understand his reasoning why he repressed these emotions.

It's Definitely Okay To Like Who You Like...
by and1515

Growing up Yorick's life wasn't easy the misconception many people had about him the constant whispering behind his back to Yorick appearances are everything. He also had a four year old daughter who he absolutely adored then there was his living arrangement was a little on the strange side but it worked.Wright realized he was doing it again he'd made Yorick uncomfortable by asking him sensitive questions that went over like a lead balloon. Also his relationship with his parental units wasn't as harmonious as it could have been his mother didn't listen so being around them all the time wasn't good for him.Yorick is a very complex individual who reminds me of a dog obsessively chasing it's tail he keeps going round and round in endless circles is he or isn't he.Those quiet moments between Yorick and Wright truly simply sensational its that moment where your thinking what am I doing? What's he going to do? All those little questions running through your mind. The both suffered from making mountains out of mole hills Yorick discovered a river of denial and Wright's own contempt for his self inadequacies.

Ok where to start... so this one had me feeling all types of ways! At first I couldn’t find myself getting into the story as much as any of the others. I was frustrated and hoping that if I kept reading it would turn around. Around or after half way through it did and I was glad that I finished it! The way it ended was great! And I am so happy for them both, to overcome their issues they each had is a huge deal in itself! And all the little moments with Jamie were to cute! But I do wanna say that all these little teasers about Trenton and Brentley are making me wonder if I will ever find out what’s up between them!

Yorick kept telling everybody he was straight. Wright was a veteran with a secret. He had lost his leg during his tour but never told anyone. Yorick kept getting funny feelings when he was around Wright. Wright took things really slow with Yorick. They both had feelings for the other. They both went at their own pace and realized they each had to admit to what was the problem. They did and learned a lot.

So much personal confusion. It was sad just because it caused Yorick such anguish and inner pain not understanding who he was. Wright was so patient and apologetic that you wanted him to find his happy ending. His shame caused by his injury and the circumstance breaks your heart. I liked the conflicting drama the two men brought to their relationship.

I love this series. Such diverse characters. Yorick and Wright were a great couple and at just the right time in the series. I like their back ground stories as well. Once again Steele goes the not expected route and brings you a powerful story. I highly recommend not only this book, but the series as well. In fact read all of Steele's work

I guess the last two of the series just didn’t go well for me. I think this one it’s because I didn’t like one of the main characters. In this one I get that he’s so in the closet so he’s super homophobic but it was off putting and I kind of didn’t get past it.

Wright is the bartender at the Tool Shed and has a crush on Yorick who's the DJ at the Tool Shed. Yorick thinks he's straight until he starts to get to Wright. These two care but they each have baggage. I really enjoyed this book.

I am not gay!

No matter how many times he spoke it, no one seemed to be listening. Twenty six year old DJ Yorick kept to himself as much as possible at the Tool Shed. After all, he WAS straight with a four year old daughter. He just didn't feel comfortable around the strippers and he would prefer it that way. His one true friend was Wright, the club's bartender and a former military man. But finding out Wright was gay threw Yorick for a loop and he decided to keep his distance.

He felt like something was finally falling into place...

When Wright asked for a dance, it sent something up in Yorick. When he finally calmed down it was too late. He had hurt the one person who thought of him as a friend. Getting back to where they were without the drama was going to be hard. Yorick was perfect in his kingdom and Wright had his own issues to deal with. But spending more time together opened a new realm and changes were in the works.

"I spent enough time in the closet. I don't need to waste more time."

Once Yorick began to accept himself, Wright became a different person. His rejections hurt, but he was only protecting himself. With an ex-partner who could not accept him, Wright now had feelings of not being good enough. One night of revelation left everything in the open.

Best book in the series. Our boys still made their presence known, but this book was more than just the strippers. It dealt with findings, honesty and acceptance. And throw in a precocious kid and some animals and it is sure to be a hit. I enjoyed all the drama and resolutions. I am looking forward to book 6.

Exposed by A.R. Steele is the fifth book in the Tool Shed Series. Exposed is by far my favorite book in the series and I loved reading it. Exposed is about Yorick Todd (DJ at the Tool Shed) and Wright Dixon (Bartender at the Tool Shed and war hero). Yorick has an unusual living situation and relationship with his ex-wife. He lives with his ex-wife and her new husband so that he can be close to his daughter. They all get along, and it works for them. Yorick has had people assume that he is gay from when he was a young boy, even his parents told him that they would be okay if he were gay. As a result, this has become a sore subject for him as he can’t figure out why people keep thinking that he is gay. He was married, and he has a child. Wright also has a secret that he is hiding and a sore subject that he hates to talk about. Everybody thinks that he is a war hero, but he has never seen himself that way. As a result, he doesn’t like when people hear that he is a war hero and thank him for his duty. Because of Wright's secret, he doesn’t have a lot of relationships, and he likes it that way. However, he can’t deny that Yorick is his type, and he is having a really had time denying that he is attracted to him. Yorick is able to get past all of Wrights carefully constructed walls and worms his way into his feelings. As a result, he is willing to wait patiently as Yorick works through his feelings of being straight to realizing that he may not be as straight as he thought. I loved watching them struggle and open up to each other. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. Thank you, A.R. Steele, for another awesome book. I love this series, the books are getting better I think. I love how you are getting to know the couple's better. You have met both these Mcs in previous books but you don't know anything about them. And that previous couples are still contributing to the story. But saying that this book can be read as a standalone.
Wright and Yorick are adorable together. I didn't like Yorick to start with though his attitude when interacting with Wright wasn't very nice even though you knew what was behind it. And especially as you find out that they used to be friends until Yorick found out Wright was gay.
Prick is so far into the closet he is almost in Narnia I loved that line.
Jamie was sweet but I would hate to be her parents when she is older she seems quite precious.
This was a really enjoyable read. The writing gets better through the series. I can't wait for Austin and Levs story next.

You do realise though when you get further into the book that both the men are very vulnerable and insecure. The whole development of the relationship was really good. It seemed like a very. natural progression.
Again this book like the others in the series is well written and I'm loving how the club is getting better and becoming more popular.

This is the 5th book in the Tool Shed series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader enjoyment and understanding, I recommend reading in order.

Yorick & Wright have been sort of friends for a while. Yorick enjoys making new friends where he works. Even though he does not feel he fits in. As a single father, his priorities are different.

Wright has been attracted to Yorick for so long. He knows it is one sided, but there is no one else he feels like this for. If he can keep himself from stumbling around Yorick, maybe there is a chance?

This story just undid me. I loved the characters. I loved the heat and the first kiss....well that one should be in the record books. Such a great series and it shows. I am eagerly awaiting the next installment!

I loved this one so much.. Yorik was amazing.. I loved his daughter.. Wright is amazing.. he is so strong and sexy.. but also so broken and sad because of circumstances in his life. He is a wonderful man and loves with all his heart. Yorik swore he was straight.. his daughter was an amazing light in his life.. and where he lived and with who cracked me up.. everyone told him left and right he was gay and he swears hes not.. his daughter is his reason on why hes not.. and yet somehow these two end up falling hard. They are an amazing couple and so much fun to read about. It is part of a series but can be read as a standalone and I am so glad I got to review it

Yorick has been told most of his life that people thought he was gay. He insisted he wasn't. It seemed a bit weird. He worried about what made people think he was when he had no interest in guys. Then all of a sudden, he was interested in Wright. He struggled with this, and I can understand why. People forced the idea on him for so long, that he got defensive about it. Then, when he found Wright attractive and realized that it might be true, he doubted himself. Although it was a rocky start for the guys, Yorick ended up finding true happiness with Wright, his daughter, and himself. It was a nice read.

Yorick has been bullied since he was very young for being gay. He decided to prove everyone wrong by finding a girlfriend and having a child. He took a job as the DJ at the Tool Shed, even though most of the dancers are gay. Wright enjoys his job as a bartender and the tricks he performs helps keep his mind aware from his own problems. All except Yorick. He cannot get Yorick out of his mind, but he is trying to be his friend since Yorick claims he is straight. Both have issues they do not want to face. A wonderful read of overcoming personal and physical hindrances.

True love isn't shallow

True love can and will overlook challenges and focus on the inside, as it should.

I love how each of these books tackles different social issues.

Well, this book made me upset at times. I get that a certain someone don't think he's gay, but he's very hateful about it. I feel for him though. Really loved our veteran. Cute story.
