Ashley Riggs' life was forever changed when she was only seventeen years old. Thrust into a world of darkness, scarred at the hands of many, and left abandoned in a cage, her hope is found in the man who rescues her from the clutches of hell. Day by day, he breathes life into her, and her heart becomes his. But when she longs for more, her savior turns his back on her, insistent that he cannot give her what she wants.
Yakov Chekov is certain that evil runs in his veins. Direct descendant of the late Ivan Chekov—the poison that infected the Russian Bratva in ways that cannot be forgiven, and the father he murdered in the name of justice—Yakov fears he cannot love as a man should. Yet, try as he might, pushing away his sweet girl, in order to protect her from himself, proves to be impossible.
When neither time, nor distance, can eradicate the love they harbor for one another, they must both ask themselves what it is they truly want—and what, as well as who, they are willing to sacrifice to be together. Yet, through it all, Ashley knows one thing for sure. Her heart is tethered to one man—one badman who makes life worth living.

Hayley Faiman was born and raised in the Central Valley of California. She and her husband met when they were still in High School. They were married a few years later. They lived in Oregon while her husband was in the US Coast Guard. After living in Hill Country, Texas, for eight years and three years in East Texas, they now call North Carolina home and spend their time with their two teenage sons at all their events, screaming from the stands as they swim their hearts out!
I do not know what to say. Let's just leave it at the fact that my reviews for the book 1 and 2 pretty much sum up my problems with this whole series. Because in all honesty, there is not a lot of difference between the 11 books in this series.
But the worst thing is that I actually sort of had a bit of hope for this one. How crazy of me.
Wow! What a ride! Ok so this story definitely ties with book two as my fave in the series! Let me assure you this series is not like the "bad boy mafia" trend or I wouldn't give the series a second glance. The stories have substance and although not 100% realistic, it's a great series!
Ashley and Yakov....In Dancing with the Badman, Book 3, Yakov literally destroyed Ashley emotionally and mentally. He definitely has his work cut out for him in the beginning of this story! Lots of mafia action in this installment. Lots of feels. Tons of heartache. There are definitely a few scenes that will require tissue and a stiff drink!
There is more sex in this installment so yay for those readers who appreciate well thought out, well written "intimate play". The scenes flowed very well in this story. I'm very excited to continue the series!
So Ashley has broken my heart a couple times in the last book. So I was so happy to see her get her own book.
If anyone needed a love connection it was Ashley, but she needed to grow up and get away from Yakov before that could happen. Even if it broke her, it just might also fix her.
Yakov is a Russian boss, he isn't allowed or supposed to show weakness. But Ashley is all that and more. So when she asks for marriage and children, he walks away. There is so much more going on with Yakov, due to his past that when Ashley asks for more than he wants to give her he freaks and leaves her. But after six months of being away from her and she is still in the front of his mind he goes back to her.
These two have a lot of problems to work out. But after being away from each other, they both have grown and seen that they need each other, but they are better together.
Sexy, wicked, intense, all-Consuming, this book will take you on a Rollercoaster ride, This book owned me, it was just so amazing Raw, captivating, I was sucked in from page one I could not put it down!!! Ashley, was beautiful, caring, sweet, vulnerable, life hasn't always been fair to her she has been through some very tuff and dark times in her life then enters the light Yavok, he is a very complex man he is so intense I really loved his character and development he was so stubborn, but sweet, and a jerk at times you can't help but love him, his chemistry with Ashley, was undeniable this two were a beautiful hot mess!!! This is writing at its very best I cannot wait to see what Hayley, comes up with next ARC received on behalf of BookaliciousBabesblog!!!
This is by far my favorite and most anticipated book in the series. I loved the story between Ashley and Jacob it was raw, gritty, hot and sad all at the same time. Ashley suffered so much and I loved that she had her happy ending. I also love that Hayley keeps in touch with the her characters in the series throughout her books.
Wow!! This book made me fall in love and definitely CRY!!! From the start, I can't put it down. I was easily got attached to the characters and the story of this book. Ashley and Yakov are amazing! At first, I was kind of missed at Yakov but as the story goes, I started to love him. Anyway, this book blew me away! The twists really got into me!!! My gosh!!! My overall verdict for this book is that I loved it!!!
I first wanted to throttle Yakov for what he did to Ashley in the beginning. To call her weak, & say he’d never want a woman like her as a wife or mother of his kids, then walk away f/her. All because he was scared of who he was. I honestly didn’t know how he come back f/those words. Ashley was so much stronger than she thought, & I so loved seeing her go f/the meek, timid, quiet woman she was to a strong woman w/a voice who knew what she wanted & had a fire in her. I loved seeing Kirill & all the guys rally around her after Yakov left & support her. But it was especially Mika who I most enjoyed. My heart felt bad for him when Yakov finally saw how close he was to losing Ashley for good & decided to come back. Mika had been her friend, her rock, & really wanted a future w/her. I loved when Sergei called Yakov on his behavior & told him to man up! And he did. Yakov definitely manned up, & redeemed himself! My heart broke over Sonia. I loved her since book 1. She was such fierce woman who was a positive influence & figure in everyone’s lives. She’s one character that’s going to be missed greatly in future books.
STILL WASN'T BLOWN AWAY BY THIS ONE, THOUGH IT DID HAVE ALL THE USUAL ALPHA MALE SYMPTOMS OF POSSESSIVENESS, HOT SEX AND THE OCCASIONAL JEALOUSY SCENARIO.
HERO thinks he's protecting Ashley when he sends her away, cutting off their relationship when she demanded for more. The beginning was pretty good, because it started with a big bang of angst and then when Ashley starts to see someone else, Yakov finally gets his head out of his head and gets his woman back. During the meantime, they relearn as a couple, resetting the boundaries of their previous relationship to something new and more deep. I liked their relationship together because they were able to compromise. What didn't make me want to rank this a 5 stars is merely because I wasn't into it.
This was not my favorite in the series. The two lead characters, Ashley and Jacob (aka Yadov) did not endear themselves to me. I did not sympathize with them or their situation. I tried to like Ashley, but her lack of self worth was hard to read. Jacob is as Sergei said a spoiled Prince. Poor Mika, he tried to help Ashley, and I do think he and the other ladies are the reason that Ashley was able to ask for marriage and a baby. We all knew that she was not going to choose anyone else but Jacob. The other parts to the storyline with the other characters was good though. A new enemy arises from no where in New York.
The story of Yakov and Ashley is heart wrenching. Both characters have been through so much. It was like torture waiting on pins and needles to see what was to become of them. They are both transformed throughout the story. But there are some surprising plot twists and much sadness along the way. A lot of character development in this installment to prepare for future books in the series. On to the next one. I can usually predict who the next installment will be about but so many characters were further introduced in this one it’s hard to determine.
Strong sweet Ashley. I would have had a hard time even seeing him after what he said. Yakov was cold hearted. Mika does deserve better because of what he wanted to show her. Please give him the love of his life. I did love that she kept reminded Yakov of his hurtful words because he needed to feel so guilty. Still Ashley should have made him wait longer as he needed to suffer and feel his loss of her after he just threw her away. I had to read this twice because I loved it so much. Can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
this was an interesting read for me I mean the bases had already been set forth. .. Main Characters are Ashley and Yakov ... and you know these characters from book 1 .. I was disappointed in the character Yakov but he does seem to redeem himself in this book... and great to see some of the other Characters from precious books .. Although not happy about what happens to Sonia ... was kinda upset and did not want to finish the book but .... guess I will see how they handle it with the next book ... All in All a good read..
The plot continues throughout all the books with the Bratva and the troubles with Feds, Cartel, and Irish mafia I guess. The storyline is actually really good, it's just the heros are always such assholes. What he said to Ashley at the beginning, I mean, shit, what an asshole. Then, because Mika likes her he comes back? Please. It all ends as a HEA for the couple as usual.

Living again I was waiting for this one. I needed to see how Ashley and Yakov's relationship would work out. Gotta say, I'm really happy with how the characters progressed and changed throughout the story. Ashley needed to grow stronger, to start living and Yakov needed to grow a pair. Tragedy and sadness also hit in this story, I want to see where they go from this. Another great one.
Jacob and Ashley's story was good. For me, I was so irritated with Ashley, yet I pitied her. Jacob was a douche and doesn't deserve her. Wish she was with Mika. She needed to be normal, Jacob still controlled her. I pushed thru it and it did get better. I was hoping Jacob died.
At first, i wasn't a fan of this book on particular. The dom/sub elements felt a little stilted and so for the 1st 2/3 of the book i would give it a 3 star.
Then the drama with Sonya and Oksana and the emotional rollercoaster from it was totally a five star.
omg I loved it as always hailey faiman blew it out of the park. Ashley and yokav story was amazing, I'm so glad ashley found her strength and Yokav realized he loved her and was not his father loved the story can't wait for many more to come
Loved Living for the Badman! This series is explosive... and oh so sweet! It’s got suspense, steamy hot bedroom scenes and alpha bad boys who will move the stars for the women they love!
Not all good things in the end had a good start! This Bratva tale is well spun. Ashley endured an unsavory upbringing. In the end Yakov helps her live her happily ever after.
OMG must-read I'm loving the series and I love the characters the way they run into each other is amazing love the story lines nascent wait to read the next book
I am now doing my second time around re-reading the series. I now I missed stuff the 1st time, but this definitely a Great read ! Every time I read it. This winter I plan on my 3rd go around. :)
Wow Ashley has went through so much in her short life. Yakov is tough and fierce. He’s the protector she needs. And deserves. There are so many emotions while reading this book. The passion these two share is amazing. Action packed drama too. Now on to book 5
This author is new to me and I was not disappointed with the beginning of the series. This is an intensely romantic story that captured my interest from the first page, these alpha male fall hard and deep for their women. This was an easy 5 stars from me.
This was so much more than a love story!!! I'm so happy to get Ashley and Yakovs HAE.. It most certainly was not an easy one! What makes this story so great for me is the Mafia drama that opens the door so many new characters and storyline!
