He takes my chin and forces me to look at him. My breath hitches and his eyes are focused on mine. There’s an intense electric feeling between us, and I wet my lips in anticipation.

This was a nice easy read and I enjoyed it. Evelyn, a smart young lady, who has just broken up with her fiancé Nathan after realizing their paths were heading in two different directions. After moving in together they ended up spending less time with each other so it was time for a change. Evelyn has just graduating from college and is heading to New York to work an internship with the help of her brother Will's friend Liam Carter, the governor.

Liam has been a part of the family ever since Evelyn could remember, but she didn't expect to be attracted to him. It seems like the more time they send with each other things start to change and they both go down a path that could cause some problems. Liam's relationship with Will is important to him and he doesn't want to do anything to damage it, plus he just learned that someone from his past may reach out to him and he's not ready for that.

Then we get to the end and boy I thought one thing was about to happen, but the author threw in a ball I wasn't expecting. I can't wait for book two and I'm sure the few problems from book one will be addressed.

Good effort

I decided to try this book because I love to support authors, especially IR authors because most of them are very talented and I applaud them for their hard work. The story is actually pretty good and I will read book 2 when it comes out. My only request is that she gets a better proof reader and editor. Normally I won't continue reading a book with a lot of errors but I wanted to see what was going to happen with Eve and Liam and decided to just work through it. And like I said, I WILL be reading book 2...lol

Horrible editing

This book had so many errors it was ridiculous. I forced myself to finish reading it. I assume this was the author's first book because the editing was terrible, verb tenses were wrong, and at a couple points I didn't even understand what was being said. The only redeeming part if this book was the hot sex scenes. I do not recommend this book unless it has a serious rewrite. I hope the author cleans things up for part 2. However I most likely will not read it.

Not Good

Okay let me say that I really hate to give bad reviews, because when I am reading this is someone's craft and their gift. But when a writer turns out a product and they don't make sure its of a certain caliber then you open the door. This book has all the makings of being a really good story, what it doesn't have is a proofreader. There are so many typos that you can not over look them because they are so distracting.I can't say this story as good or okay ,I can say that it needs work.A rewrite should be in order and a release to the reading public.

In need of a proofreader

I found this book riddled with grammatical errors and made it hard for me to want to read it through. Nonetheless I did. I found both Eve and Liam to be confusing with the back and forth of wanting a relationship. And then we get to the cliffhanger, WHAT? So now he is not only confused he is also a liar cause Chelsea wasn't suppose to mean anything... I hope part 2 will be the finale of this story and have less errors

Toss Up
This is an interesting story, but you're constantly distracted by the horrendous grammatical errors. It's just awful editing and I truly hope this author gets a refund from the company that provided the service. Or lack of service. It's a shame because like I said it's an interesting story. The heroine is somewhat flaky but the hero makes up for it.

I would give this book a 3.5 the big issue is the author needs an editor. There was so many editing issues it distracts you from the story. It would also be nice for the reader to get more understanding and inside into Liam. Overall I recommend the series once the authors gets a good editor.
