This was a nice easy read and I enjoyed it. Evelyn, a smart young lady, who has just broken up with her fiancé Nathan after realizing their paths were heading in two different directions. After moving in together they ended up spending less time with each other so it was time for a change. Evelyn has just graduating from college and is heading to New York to work an internship with the help of her brother Will's friend Liam Carter, the governor.
Liam has been a part of the family ever since Evelyn could remember, but she didn't expect to be attracted to him. It seems like the more time they send with each other things start to change and they both go down a path that could cause some problems. Liam's relationship with Will is important to him and he doesn't want to do anything to damage it, plus he just learned that someone from his past may reach out to him and he's not ready for that.
Then we get to the end and boy I thought one thing was about to happen, but the author threw in a ball I wasn't expecting. I can't wait for book two and I'm sure the few problems from book one will be addressed.
