Jessie is now living with her grandparents in a new town, getting ready to start her senior year of high school. How is she going to make it through this year? Her grandparents are wonderful people and know Jessie has been through a lot in the last few months. They are happy to have her with them and to take care of her. She’s a wonderful young lady.

Gram introduces Jessie to Chris. He works at the hardware store and is also a senior at Hampton High. Jessie is relieved to meet a nice person that she will see at school on the first day. However, she is more thankful for his sister on the first day of school. Chris’s sister, Charlie, befriends Jessie.

Jessie also develops a close friendship with Chris. Over time, all three of them share secrets and support each other’s decisions. Their friendship is tested and they discover what they are all made of.

I am a teacher by day and a writer by night. I'm a proud Penn Stater and love reading and sharing stories. I live in East Berlin, Pennsylvania (a very small town) with my husband, son, and two dogs.
The best days for me are when I can go for a run in the sunshine and brainstorm a new story or book. I have always loved talking and telling stories (ask my mom and sister, I've never stopped talking) so writing has been something I've always wanted to do. I hope you enjoy my imagination and storytelling, as much as I love doing.

Pretty good YA book about not giving up in adversity. Some of the writing was kind of basic but as it is geared towards teens I can understand why this style was chosen. Storyline was interesting enough to get me to read it in one sitting (it's light enough to do so) and I would recommend it to my teen to read- mild make out scenes and it's made clear that sex has occurred in relationships, so if you are uber-conservative, you may not approve.

Great quick read!

Was looking forward to her next book and she did not disappoint. Enjoyed the reality of the characters and the simplicity of the storyline. Made for an easy read.
