Hunted by an ancient predator. Freedom will demand the ultimate price. Tatya’s falling in love with the local master vampire and has a new business venture. But her plans go awry when someone starts killing young women who look like her. With the help of old friends, she forms an unlikely alliance with an alpha werewolf to expose the murderer. But when the killer is revealed, will this formidable challenge make or break her? If you like urban fantasy, gripping crime thrillers, and heroines who are willing to do anything for those they love, you'll enjoy 'Vampire Sacrifice', Book Two in the 'Samsara Trilogy'.
I'm really enjoying this series' mixing of mysticism, paranormal and fantasy, and it's a pleasure watching how the lead characters, Tatya and Vanse, continue to develop their relationship and grow as individuals. Teagan Kearney is excellent at drawing characters that feel real and this shows in all the characters, large roles and small, good or evil (the latter being the harder task, I think). Even Angelus, who I sorta loathe, is a very well defined character. Add in a well done plot, with well done action sequences and nicely done backstory segues, great supporting characters and strong writing overall. The result is another clear winner that I highly recommend.
PS: Just to note - this novel has been renamed “Vampire’s Bane” even though Goodreads hasn’t yet been adjusted to reflect the name change.
If I had any doubts at all about this series after reading the first book, then they are definitely gone now! Vampire's Bane kept me turning pages until the end leaving me like what just happened? Excellent story... Well played... Would definitely recommend.
A really good interesting and enjoyable read. The book continues on from book one with an easy followed connection and the writing and dialogue is top class. As vampire stories go this is up with the best and at times I couldn't put it down. Really looking forward to book three in this trilogy. Highly recommended
