He was never supposed to see it.

The email I wrote my friend.

The one where I called him cruel, cold, demanding. Oh, yeah, and sexy as hell.

But instead of sending it to my friend, I sent it to him.

My boss.

Jared King, billionaire head of King Advertising. The man everyone calls The King because he’s so controlling, gorgeous, and full of himself.

I answer his phones, and he barely looks at me, except for one word -- “Messages?”-- as he holds his hand out, his Rolex glinting under the light as he demands what’s his.

The employees all whisper about how bad they want him, and his face is on a different magazine each week, always with a different socialite or actress on his arm.

I’m sure he’ll fire me when he reads the email I accidentally sent him. Jared King is not known for his forgiving nature. In fact, it’s just the opposite.

But to my surprise, he gives me one more chance. The only catch? I have to do everything he says.

Soon his tasks are becoming less work-related and more… sex-related. He’s making me take pictures of myself in lingerie, asking me to accompany him to fancy restaurants, making me get down on my knees and…

He knows how to play my body and mind, how to keep me wanting and begging for more of him. But soon I’m starting to worry that my second chance is turning into my worst nightmare.

Because the only thing more torturous than being Jared King’s assistant? Is falling in love with him…

The not exactly original story of a boss and his secretary.

The hero is distant and a bit of an asshole, the temporary secretary is virginal and naive, a ranting email is sent to the wrong person and their story begins.

This first part stops right after .

I was more lacking the energy to look for something else than curious to see what happens next, but I still ended up reading the next part, Devil In A Suit.

This was an excellent short and quick read that was fun and easy to read. Ending on a cliffhanger it keeps readers wanting more which is why I've gone straight on to get the next book in the series again from kindle unlimited. While I have enjoyed reading this book I don't think it will be a one I would buy because it's not unlike others I've read.

The main character in the series is Quinn, a worker at Jared King's advertising firm who accidentally sent an email ranting about her horrible boss that was meant for her friend to the boss in question. He sees the email, refuses to delete it and uses it to put Quinn in a compromising position. Quinn seems to be a fairly weak character easily swayed by the power her boss holds over her; in this book she is very eager to please him and I'm hoping to get some sass out of her in other books in the series.

The secondary character is Jared King is the boss with a huge attitude problem and no care towards his employees. He uses his power at the company to put Quinn's reputation in question although none of them see it yet, I suspect this will be something that comes up in later books.

The storyline wasn't very original and although the characters were decent but not strong. The pacing was interesting and I liked the cliffhanger and am currently reading the second book in the series and hoping for some sassiness to come out of the main character.

I barely made it to the end of this book. The whole thing seemed a little too rushed for my liking. I've read many books where the girl hates the guy but ends up liking him, I lobe that kind of thing but only when it's spaced out nicely with an even flow. This woman loathed her boss but as soon as he showed an interest in her she was head over heels, giving into all his orders. The conversations were a little pathetic and I can't say I really cared for any of the characters. Also I dislike authors who split up a book into many parts so this wasn't a good fit for me

Fast, Hot Paced Read

Quinn really put herself in an unusual situation by sending an email about her boss to her books, Jared King! Just when things are heating up after an incredible date, there is a gentleman waiting at Jared's home. He sends Quinn home and gets out of the car. She feels toyed with but what is Jared really up to in regards to Quinn? Can't wait to see what happens in the next book! Hope it is out soon!!

Review is for all 3 books in the serial. Loved the heroine. Did not care for the Hero. Just because he had a horrible father and upbringing did not excuse his poor behavior, especially as a CEO. The sex went off page after the heroine lost her virginity - weird. Loved the scene with the heroine's family.

Wow this was really bad. I read a few reviews before starting and considering the writing was described as excellent i thought it would be a winner. The writing was far from excellent and the storyline was just ridiculous. Plus theres no way id pay for another two instalments when it couldve been written as one book

This felt like another book trying to ride 50 shades' coattails with the aloof CEO that is emotionally constipated, and naive virgin that just keeps taking him back. Not much character development and fell flat.

I liked this one but he was an asshole for no reason (like most male characters now unfortunately) and the female just obeyed every weird command her boss gave her. Somebody call HR.

Short and Quick Read

Reread!

This is a reread for me, I first read this series years ago, I believe back in 2016.

This time around my scoring has changed. The excitement that I felt years ago at the mysteriousness of Jared is now annoying to me. Quinn being a virgin at the age of 22/23 is believable, but along with that shes written as a really naive young woman, almost teenage like to me.

One other issues is the amount of story you get for what you pay for. This first book is only about 50 pages long, the price isn't outrageous but it does make you pause and really think about purchasing the next book.

This is a very quick sub par read. I found Quinn to be a weak , annoying character. And I found it ridiculous that Jared goes from not even knowing who this person is, to wanting her all from one email.

Great start, and cliffhanger!

Jared is definitely hot and Quinn is starting off to be a strong ingénue. Looking forward to what could interrupt a seemingly steamy night.

it was an okay read for a kindle unlimited book. All three parts are very short, it took me about 20 minutes to read each part.

SINFULLY SEXY !!!
Title: Devil In A Suit
Designation: Book One of Serialized Steamy Contemporary Romance, Not A Standalone, Cliffhanger Warning, Not Full-Length(46 pages)
Author: Ivy Carter
Reading Platform: Kindle Unlimited
My Rating: Four Sinfully Sexy Stars
Wow! This is my first time reading Ivy Carter but it certainly won't be my last. I'm a huge Hannah Ford fan and this book was included as a bonus in one of Hannah Ford's recent releases, so I decided to give it a whirl and so glad I did. I'd like to preface my review by saying, Devil In A Suite: Book One is not a standalone; it's a serial. As soon as I finished this 48 page installment, I raced back to Amazon and discovered Books Two and Three have already been released and are available under the Kindle Unlimited Program. Jackpot! Apparently, Devil In A Suit is Carter's first release and I must admit, I'm quite impressed with her work. Her talent is obvious, her style is mesmerizing, her skill is impressive, and her prose is absolutely mesmerizing. I found the story to be fast-paced, exciting, sensual, sexy, and well-crafted. There were a few minor boo-boos but nothing that distracted me from the story. The narrative is beautifully written with a singular first-person perspective from the female protagonist. The dialogue is smart, seductive, well executed and flowed effortlessly. But without a doubt, my favorite component of this story is the engaging cast of characters. I was immediately captivated by the two protagonists, handsome ruthless billionaire advertising mogul Jared King, and beautiful struggling new employee and still very much a naive virgin, Quinn Carson. Their attraction was undeniable, their sexual chemistry was off the charts, and their interaction and banter were quite entertaining. In Book One, the reader only receives a small peek into the possibilities for these characters and the direction of the storyline so I will reserve further judgment until I can read more. But if Books Two and Three are as riveting as Book One, it's going to be one heck of a ride!

Quinn Carson finally landed her dream job...kinda. After graduating from college at the top of her class, it was quite easy to secure a job as a copywriter at King Advertising, even if she hasn't technically written any copy...yet. Unfortunately, she's just another unimportant, nameless face at the bottom of the ladder posing as a junior copywriter with a lunchtime fill-in position as Jared King's personal assistant. In other words, she's just a little fish in a great big ocean filled with countless other little fish trying to survive among some terrifying sharks. Jared King is the biggest shark of all and he doesn't even know she exists....until she mistakenly sends an email to him rather than her best friend who happens to have the same initials. And let's just say, the email in which she regaled her boss' many shortcomings was less than complimentary. Apparently, Jared King does know she exists and is determined to demand his pound of flesh for her snafu... in the form of sexy lingerie and a dinner date. Oh my! But why in the world would someone like Jared King, who could have any beautiful woman in the world, want to take her to dinner? And what's a twenty-two-year-old naive, inexperienced virgin to do when coerced into a date with a ruthless, handsome, sexy devil in a suit who also happens to be her boss??? We'll see!

Did I like this book? Yes, I liked it a lot! There were a few minor boo-boos but nothing that distracted me from the story. Would I recommend it? You bet and I am but only for adult readers since it does contain some steamy, dreamy romance! Will I read this author again? Absolutely! I can hardly wait to get the next book in my hot little hands! Was I entertained? Completely! I was glued to my seat, white knuckling my reader with my heart fluttering wildly in my chest! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!

****Warning....This is the first of three installments of a serialized steamy contemporary romance and does end in a cliffhanger, but the remaining two installments are already available.

I felt the series started out great, but by the time I got to book three I was disappointed as to how fast the relationship was moving and that there was nothing else to the story.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I have to say that I am totally in love with Quinn's name, first off. It was gutsy of her to take on this little assignment and it paid big dividends. I am getting the "daddy issue" vibes from the end of book one so we shall see. Off to a great start.

Cute little story with a slightly curious cliffhanger. This book isnt some hard hitting grip the edge of your seat romance novel but I don't think it is intended to be. So far its rather curious and when I hit the end of the book I was like "wait what?!" and picked up Part II that second.

So far this book isn't anything amazing or 'favorite list'-ing but its cute and sweet enough that I can't help it. I want more. I want to see where Jared and Quinn go and I hope its somewhere fun together because I can't wait for Part II.

I don't mind that these books seem to be on the shorter side of things? I feel so accomplished when I get a book read in a short amount of time rather than reading like 10 pages and it saying 'you're 1% done with this book'. As long as I'm not paying like $4-6 a book that is. A short book like this (Free on Kindle Unlimited and 99 cents otherwise) is fair to me.

I received this book from another author for an honest review.

What a hot and sweet, dirty treat. Jared is so freaking SEXY and HOTT!!! Did I say HOT, yes. . . yes! Pure pleasure. Dirty—this sums up the story. Quinn puts herself in a precarious situation by sending a personal email meant for her friend to read about her boss and accidently sends it to her boss, Jared King, CEO of his company. After her boss reads her email, instead of firing Quinn, Jared decides to make some demands in which Quinn had to comply with. Quinn finds herself quite attracted to Jared and the feeling is mutual with some sizzling chemistry. What type of demands will Jared make of Quinn, and will Quinn succumb to Jared’s non-work related tasks? This book has some steamy sex scenes. This is the first time I have read Ivy Carter’s book, which is an enjoyable read. Although this is a short story, the storyline will pique your interest and draw you in from the beginning to the very end. From the cliffhanger, I cannot wait to read the next book.
