This is simply a fantastic book! I am taking the Mike Lin graphics workshop right now, and it is so helpful. I learned solutions to mistakes that I had been repeating without knowing why. I am using the book as a supplement to reinforce the workshop lessons, but I have heard that it is great on it's own too.

What an excellent resource for landscape architecture/architecture students! Mike Lin teaches the fundamentals of rendering in all design stages, and provides subtle tips on how to turn good designs into compelling works of professional art. For me, this book pushed me to loose the fear of making mistakes, which has improved my rendering abilities tenfold. I would love to attend the Be Loose Graphic Workshop someday.

Excellent. Mike Lin is an amazing teacher. Within the first 20 minutes of opening this book, I was able to apply techniques that drastically improved my drawing and rendering skills. My colleagues noticed the improvement within days, and as a result, I've added this specialty to my professional repertoire.
Highly recommended.
