We're back with Jackson and Sylvia!!
You should read their trilogy before reading this novella!
The baby is one year old now and Sylvia's dad is about to be released from prison. (Julie put the Baby short story at the end of this novella, if you haven't read it yet, you could/should read it before starting this book, because it happens about a year earlier obviously ☺)
Remember? Her dad killed the guy who abused her as a kid...
But Sylvia is not yet sure if she's ready to forgive her dad for his role back then.
And also, those photos the dead bastard took are still out there somewhere....
All those problems are bothering Sylvia terribly. But Jackson is by her side always.....

What kills me about J. Kenner's series is that every time we think the story is over, that the couple is off enjoying their well-deserved HEA, there's always something else. LOL!! Some new drama, new obstacle, or another enemy to be defeated. Jackson and Sylvia were comfortably existing in their happy ending, but this novella unearthed some unfinished business. It was emotional, sensual, and further proof that their love and unity makes them an unstoppable force. I'll be sure to be on the lookout for more installments of the Stark-Steele family saga.

Take My Dare is a continuation of Jackson and Sylvia’s story. If you haven’t read this series, I suggest you do in order to understand what had happened. I think it’s best to say that reading a J. Kenner’s story is full of unexpected surprises and twist. When you thought the author was gonna write a happily ever after following up on Jackson and Sylvia, we are thrown into a mix of drama and angst.
Within this hot novella, readers are enveloped with the fierce love and devotion Jackson has for Sylvia and in such, their love was tested and strengthened through their loyalty and love for one another. I absolutely love this couple. I will not spoil and say what happened within this novella since it is a short read but I will say J. Kenner was able to pack an emotional and passionate punch to leave readers yearning and craving for more. Another wonderful step into the world of Stark International & all the characters that make up the extended family around Damien & Nikki. This novella is a new installment in Jackson & Sylvia Steele's story. They are finally living the life they both dreamed about with each, their new son & Jackson's daughter from a prior relationship. To Sylvia, life is perfect & absolutely everything she could have hope or imagined for herself. But when her father is set to be released from prison, Sylvia is thrown into an emotional state that has her confused & not sure how to feel toward her dad. It brings back to light all the photographs of her while she was younger that could still surface & expose what was done to her. Jackson does his best to reassure her that they are in this together & will fight the battle side by side. When the photos threaten to come out, Sylvia has to find the strength to face this battle head on.
I love the Stark World & enjoyed reading another chapter in the wonderful Stark saga. This book is an easy read, fun, sexy, full of struggle & triumph, and is hot has hell. This book is meant for mature readers.

I absolutely love this series and Take My Dare was a fantastic addition. This had everything I have come to expect and love... passion, intensity, intrigue, and a whole heck of a lot of heat!
Jackson and Sylvia are true to form with their amazing connection and passion and I loved seeing where they were now in their lives. The love and strength they have for one another as they wind there way through another obstacle is fantastic. I really liked the element of mystery that was presented. I love Jackson's commanding presence and how he and Sylvia rely on one another and how the passion they share is so electric and turns into extremely heated and erotic scenes.
I was immediately pulled into the intense style of writing, not dark per say but captivating and rich, gripping. J. Kenner is a fantastic story teller making me feel for the characters and root for them. It was a solid story from beginning to end, with full, rich details and a great build. It was short but held a lot of impact.
I will add as a general note that the other books definitely have to be read first or it's one great big spoiler to what’s already happened in the other books. If you haven't read the The Stark International Trilogy yet, I highly recommend it. Absolutely mesmerizing!

Take my Dare is a continuation of Jackson and Sylvia. I was so excited that I was getting to read more on Jackson and Sylvia. They happen to be my favourite couple and I was so stoked to see what has been happening. I love J. Kenner. She is a talented writer and she always write books that I cannot help but fall in love with.
Take my Dare was such a hot novella packed with action, angst and drama. It was one of those novella that was a seductive guilty pleasure that I could not get enough. For a short novella, it definitely packed a punch. I was so captivated by the story that I devoured within minutes. The writing in this story as always was so impeccable. I was truly compelled by it.
I love Jackson and Sylvia together. Take my Dare really showcased Jackson's loyalty and protectiveness over Sylvia. I could not help but swoon. My Review:
Take My Dare follows after the "Steal My Heart" Novella, they are adjusting to their son being almost a year old, and living within their happy ending and learning to be a family and find time for themselves as a couple. I absolutely adored the masquerade party and the hero making a game out of it for them. It had such a sexy feel to it. But then we also get a good plot with someone trying to blackmail Sylvia and how they respond to this threat and what teamwork is implemented as they work together and I just loved the unity that they have together. This is one of the aspects to this couple which makes them such a power couple. And we do get a fun scene with all the Stark couples coming together and man I am so tempted to reread these books lol but I am so behind on this author's books, that I need to catch up. This is a shorter book, a novella, but I wouldn't have minded if this one had been full length.

This book had so much potential. We get more of Jackson & Sylvia which was always going to be a great thing. Sylvia’s past is yet again rearing its ugly head and threatening the life they have built up together.
I really got into this story and was really enjoying it and then it ended. I felt the ending was just a little abrupt and it did leave me thinking is that it. I really wanted more but it wasn't to be and i did feel a little disappointed.
That aside, I did enjoy the story. It was action packed and fast paced and fans of the Stark series are going to love it

I love any book that has my #1 book boyfriend, Damien Stark in it even if it's only briefly. Jackson Steele is Damien's half brother and he's happily married to Damien's former assistant, Sylvia. Jackson has such love and passion for Sylvia and their relationship is so beautiful to witness. They have such great chemistry and I love their faith in each other. If you've read the Stark International Trilogy then you should definitely read this.

The Steele's steals my heart every single time!
Well, I am going to say it, in my opinion Jackson & Sylvia totally rival Damien & Nikki on the smokin' hot & sexy scale! This novella is a great addition to the Stark International series.
They are such a great couple you can't help but wish them nothing but happiness with their two beautiful children. Even beyond their super steamy hot sex, there is so much mutual respect, love, need and utter devotion it is a living breathing entity. They are intense!
Jackson is just sex on a stick and his dominant nature is so hot!!! Sylvia is gorgeous, strong and an amazing mom. Their love is so deep and all consuming that they are as necessary as breathing to each other and they rely on each other for their strength. The sexy times between them is out of this galaxy no matter where they are and they are definitely do get quite creative.

Their two children have not managed to put out the five-alarm fire that is always burning between the sheets or other places for them. I adore how they both are with Ronnie and Jeffery but especially Ronnie since they did not start off in the same way as they did with Jeffery.
They just need to get through a few more nasty bumps in the road, some drama from the past and hopefully they can just focus on the beautiful family they have.
One of my favorite quotes from the book is from Jackson. He tells Sylvia "You've always been strong I'm just the man who helped you realize it. "

Well, I am going to say it, in my opinion Jackson & Sylvia totally rival Damien & Nikki on the smokin' hot & sexy scale! This novella is a great addition to the Stark International series.
They are such a great couple you can't help but wish them nothing but happiness with their two beautiful children. Even beyond their super steamy hot sex, there is so much mutual respect, love, need and utter devotion it is a living breathing entity. They are intense!
Jackson is just sex on a stick and his dominant nature is so hot!!! Sylvia is gorgeous, strong and an amazing mom. Their love is so deep and all consuming that they are as necessary as breathing to each other and they rely on each other for their strength. The sexy times between them is out of this galaxy no matter where they are and they are definitely do get quite creative.

5 Provocative and Healing Stars!!!
I was so in need of a Jackson and Sylvia fix and Ms. Kenner delivered in a big way!! This story takes place as Sylvia's father is being released from jail for the murder he committed a few years ago. She obviously has very conflicting emotions about this as her father wasn't the typical father in that his daughter thought the moon and stars revolved around him...
However, Sylvia isn't going to let this fear of what happened in her past rule her world anymore and between she and Jackson, they come up with a plan that is daring and could back fire on them.
I've never been disappointed in a J. Kenner book and this was no exception. I loved everything about this book and Jackson and Sylvia's relationship. I can't wait for more from this amazing couple!!!

The next installment of Jackson and Sylvia's story. With her past still popping up to haunt her, the relationship with Jackson is calming and solid just what she needs. She is starting to find her inner strength, enough to actually stand up and fight back for herself and her family.
I don't normally like books that keep on going in installments, I like my HEA's at the end of each book. But somehow these series by J Kenner do not get stale, although a certain amount is continued through each book and even overlap into some parts of the other series, each still has a certain part contained in it so reading you still feel you get an ending to each. This makes it easier to continue sticking with each series. Plus they are all well written, have a great flow throughout and across the other branches and characters.
I enjoy the glimpses of main characters from the other areas of the overall series like Damon and Nikki. I do feel if you want to get the maximum benefit from reading all of these books ,that you need to read them all and in reading order. It is worth it and this is still on going.
I love J Kenner, her writing style is easy to read and I find I am hooked from the first lines in each and every book. I struggle to put them down, even to go cook dinner, my kindle is glued to me until I finish reading each book.

Oh, my goodness, Take My Dare arrived at the perfect time, because I have needed a J. Kenner fix and this novella hit the spot. Jackson and Sylvia are one of my favorite Kenner pair, second only to Damien and Nikki. I adored the couple they were, but love the unit that they have grown into. They have maintained their edginess and we get see it at full-tilt here. So, hang on to your hats and jump right in.

In this short story that takes place a year after the birth of their first child, Jackson and Sylvia are once again facing Sylvia's past. With her father out of jail, Sylvia has to decide whether to forgive him for what happened in her past. She also is being blackmailed for half a million dollars to keep the pictures of her in various positions from being released to the public. Pictures of her that were more of the adult variety, taken when Sylvia was a child. Pictures that Sylvia is ashamed of, and wants as few people as possible to know of their existence.
Sylvia and Jackson deal with these issues, their children and their amazing sex drives with intelligence, humor, and most importantly, each other. Both realizing that life can throw anything at them, as long as they have each other, they'll be ok.
Gotta love a couple that keep the romance alive in almost every minute of their lives. I can't wait to read more about this strong and sexy couple!

Fantastic! There's such intense chemistry between Jackson and Sylvia. As usual, the time flew by while reading their story. What's not to love! Once again, Julie brings life to the pages. Her descriptive writing had me right there with her characters. The feelings of love, support and commitment are forever present. Moreover, trust is reiterated and shown with sexy-time, words and actions.
Jackson's loyalty to his wife and his devotion for his family is everything. Of course their happy bubble can't last forever though. Can Sylvia face her past? Will there always be angst hovering around her? Can Jackson be the husband he claims he is? Or will he let her down?
Hands down this is a J. Kenner book you'll want to read. It's a feel good book with an ending that will make you beg for more. A must read.

Love will keep them together! While Sylvia continues to face her demons from the past, as she relies on the love Jackson Steele continues to provide, she becomes that much stronger. Together they will dominate. Sylvia discovers that all she needs is the strength of her amazingly, sexy husband to stand beside her, her wingman to win yet another battle. Now more than ever Sylvia is determined to face the world and anyone else who wants to blackmail her or her family. One of my favorite scenes are the masquerade party as Jackson will find his lady as he lives breathes and owns Sylvia Brooks Steele forever. The beauty of this novel is all because of the love for each other and Julie Kenner delivers how no matter what comes in the way of happiness as long as you have the will you will always have the courage. Julie Kenner kicks this story to another hemisphere. A++

I so love Jackson Steele and Sylvia. Sylvia started out as a bit player in original Stark series and later got her own story...with Jackson - Damien Stark's half brother. I love how Jackson is so thoughtful of his wife and is so in tune with her that he feels when she needs him..whether it's emotionally or physically. Sylvia's traumatic past comes back to cause trouble and Jackson is right by her side.
J Kenner is so amazing at writing the hot and heavy love scenes. She really is imaginative and makes the reader feel very jealous lol. Non-fans of cliffhangers may be a little annoyed that this book doesn't end up with a tied bow, but rest assured that Miss Kenner will have another Jackson and Sylvia story out soon.

This is a novella in the Stark International Trilogy. Somehow I didn't realize this was book 4 but I still enjoyed the story anyway. Sylvia's past comes back to haunt her and she has to make a choice. Will she let it define her or will she finally make peace? This story held my attention and I found myself wanting to read the rest of the books. Even though I didn't read the rest of the books I wasn't lost at all. I like this couple and can't wait to read their backstory!

I was so thrilled to see this power couple as loving, doting parents and how the balanced life and their passion. It's a thing to behold.
I could read about these characters forever. Kenner has a way of tattooing them onto the readers hearts. It's a permanent love.

Take my Dare by J. Kenner is a must read. Just wish it was longer. If you want a short read that is excellent this is the book.

Take My Dare by J. Kenner is a visit into Jackson and Sylvia’s happily ever after. It fast forwards to a few years later. They have been building a happy life and added another member to the family. They are now parents to two precious children. Everything in their life seems to be perfect. Their careers are soaring, the passion is even stronger in their married life, and Jackson has built a brotherly relationship with Damien Stark. Even though their life is wonderful, it’s not absolutely perfect.
Sylvia’s father is about to be released from prison. She’s still dealing with his betrayal when she was young. She’s still harboring some resentments but at the same time feels the love she thought she lost as a young woman. And then there’s the cause that ruined her relationship with her parents… the provocative pictures taken when she was young. After all this time they are still out there.
The pictures have resurfaced and someone is trying to blackmail her. This time around she has so much more to lose. She could lose her family.
Jackson and Sylvia have built a solid strong relationship. Pictures cannot tear them apart. Sylvia has to decide how she wants to handle the situation. With Jackson in her corner, she finally has the power of choice that she didn’t have as a teenager.
I loved this addition to Jackson and Sylvia’s story. It gave them complete closure to the past. It also showed the strength of their love.

Bei all den Steinen und schlimmen Erlebnissen, die Ihren Weg in der Vergangenheit geflastert haben, sind sie endlich angekommen und beide vervollständigen den anderen. J. Kenner hat es wieder meisterhaft geschafft, diese tiefe Liebe und Verbundenheit rüberzubringen. Jackson, der Sylvias Gedanken und Gefühle in und auswenig kennt, der weiss, was sie wann braucht und auch Sylvia, die sich nicht schämt, zuzugeben, dass sie Jackson braucht, ist aber auch ohne ihren Mann eine starke selbstbewusste Frau, die hier nach der neuesten Katastrophe über sich hinauswächst. Liebe und Familie ist alles was beide brauchen, um sich vollständig, geliebt und glücklich zu fühlen.
Eine wunderschöne Novelle der beiden, die durch die liebevoll, erotischen Liebeszenen perfekt erzählt wurde.

I'm typically not a person that likes novellas, but I love the Stark novellas! I feel like I'm catching up with old friends. In this novella we get a glimpse at where Sylvia and Jackson are at with their son and daughter and the threats that are still out there against them. I loved that we were able to reconnect and there was a short suspense story woven in there. I love Damien and Jackson and Nikki and Sylvia and never get tired of checking in with them. Hoping to see more of Jamie and Ryan too! Great read!
