I cut my teeth learning to read with this book at age 5. Read again and again. Fond, fond memories. Tho not all realistic, each challenge in the story shows that there are multiple solutions to problems, and cleverness can win the day over size and brute strength. If only I could stay so calm in the face of seemingly impossible odds as our little hero in the story.
