A quest, travel, battles, feats of strength. A grand adventure for Thor and the Warriors Three.

This was an enjoyable flashback adventure featuring Thor at a nebulous time in his history during the Donald Blake era that nonetheless has a strong mythic character. It featured jaunts to locations with ties to different world mythologies. Having a broad knowledge of world mythology, I appreciated this look into places that Marvel comics often do not go, and that what we saw was in many ways true to those myths. I also appreciated that I have since seen some of these elements show up again (specifically, Grasscutter in Secret Warriors). In addition to going to unusual places, there was some enjoyable character interaction, as well, and I liked how the problems were not all solved by fighting (something of a rarity in comics). This was a great deal of fun.

"Blood Oath" is a fun tale about Thor and the Warriors Three who have to go on a quest. It's a fairly standard story - they have to go different places and find stuff - but what makes it so enjoyable are the Warriors Three who are so awesome that there are no words. It's kind of like a mythological road movie.

The Warriors 3 have accidentally killed a giant. So Thor needs to defend them, this involves doing some impossible tasks as a team.

A fun story with the warriors three at their best. A good read.
