“The best relationships are the ones that make it through the darkness. The ones where people look at one another and see hurt and say, you’re worth it.”
After attempting to drink away from a broken heart, Raven Walker finds herself in the arms of the one man she never thought she’d have. The problem is he happens to be her childhood crush and her brother’s best friend. What she assumes will be just a one-night stand turns into so much more. He’s strong, confident, loyal, tattooed and before she knows it, her head and heart are fighting a battle between staying within the boundaries or crossing a line she can never come back from.
“That’s how Tyler and I began. Secretive and undecided.”
Tyler Hemming isn’t looking for anything but whiskey when he walks into Murphy’s Bar. He certainly isn’t expecting to find his best friend’s little sister drinking away a cheating boyfriend. He’s not supposed to want her. It breaks all the rules. But what he finds is an escape. A no-strings attached distraction that allows him to forget and live in the moment. Everything is perfect until he’s confronted with life-changing news. *** This story is told in dual POV, has an HEA with no cliffhanger, and can be read as a standalone. However, I recommend reading Unsteady, as characters play recurring roles throughout.
Warning: Due to mature subject matter, such as explicit sexual situations and coarse language, this story is not suitable for anyone under the age of 18.

I felt like there was a lot of back and forth and indecisiveness going on and it kept me from enjoying the characters. Raven was the main reason for me feeling that. Tyler was adamant about his choices because of a secret he was hiding so I understood why it took him a while to come around but with Raven she was so up and down it confused and annoyed me.
Rawley is completely unredeemable in my eyes, I won't be following up with that. His actions towards everyone were inexcusable especially to Sophie. I totally get why his heart was broken but the circumstances weren't typical so I don't know why he took his anger and sadness out on everyone and how he le his life get so out of control.
This seemed like it took a while to finish but then ended so abruptly that I was left unsatisfied with some things. I wanted an epilogue or just more of them together and moving on with life. I didn't feel like I got that. I don't want to have to read about two different characters to catch snippets of Raven and Tyler's happy ending.
It just didn't work out well for me. It's another one of my favorite themes and it sucks that I just wasn't that into it.
5 Stars: My absolute favorite and will read again and again. I strongly recommend! It has outstanding qualities. The characters are wonderful and surprising and multi-dimensional. The writing is luring, engaging, and well-crafted enough to keep me interested from cover to cover and beyond. The plot is astonishing with twists and turns weaved into a well thought and planned story. There’s no pretense and romance was well balanced and done entirely correctly with properly distributed amounts of hints, behaviors and incredible, undeniable chemistry. Predictability is at an all-time low. With the exception of series based books that follow the same path but are just as good. Overall, Favorite, must read again, recommend!!!
I loved this story, The way Raven was able to make Tyler see he was enough. Then, the familial interactions between the family and their friends, Also, Nova was so funny for being so little. Finally, the sex scenes are hot and steamy.
I loved book 1 in the Torqued trilogy--I found it after a book slump and was looking forward to moving on with book 2. We'd gotten to see some of Tyler and Raven's relationship in book 1, and I wanted to know how things worked out for them. Unfortunately, Unbearable just didn't hold my interest. Raven and Tyler seemed to have the same arguments over and over. It may be realistic, but it's boring to read. Life got busy part way through this book, and I put it down for more than a week. That's never a good sign--if I'd been invested, I'd have made some time to read. When I finally picked it back up, I realized I'd been only minutes from the end, clearly not all that drawn into the climactic scenes at the end. It didn't help that some of those scenes centered on Rawley, the hero of book 3 and someone I won't be reading about.
I usually really enjoy books with the brother's best friend and little sister but there was just no conflict with the situation. Red didn't like it for about a minute and then he was over it. So what was all the drama? Tyler found out some news he wasn't expecting and it pushed him away from his parents, his girl friend and he started seeing Raven. All he wanted was casual. Raven has had a crush on Tyler since she was 16 so now she has a chance to be with him she isn't passing it up. After it all she wants more but Tyler doesn't. She starts making demands for him to define what they are. I was tired of Raven and her pushing for something and then when Tyler was able to come to terms with what he had going on she just pushed him away. She was acting so juvenile it irritated me. This book could have been so much better but it fell flat for me.
I listened to this one almost immediately after the first. I didn't really understand Ravens need to push the hero so much. He wasn't seeing anyone else. He was happy with the way they were but she kinda self destructed.
They were keeping their relationship away from her brother, then he found out. It was all resolved quickly and then the book abruptly ended. I don't understand why Rawley would act like he does and am not interested in reading his story 🙃
Great addition to this trilogy. Tyler and Raven just start out as f@ck buddies after both being cheated on by their significant others. It soon gets messy when feelings start to get real and there's even more at risk with an underlying medical issue. Excellent read!
I really enjoyed this book. Raven had loved Tyler since she was sixteen years old and the feeling hadn’t faded with time. They tried having a friends with benefits but Raven wanted more, deserved more and in the end they both got it. I don’t think I will read the next book because of Rawleys attitude in the first book and in this one. Because of his attitude maybe I will be able to later.

I have no words for this book. I mean well a few, I love Raven and Tyler as characters but I feel like their story could have been better? In my opinion anyways. It just felt like something was missing. There was too much repetition.
I love these characters. Their relationship was always full of flirting, but when they both end up needing someone at the same time it turned to so much more.
Tyler and raven started in the first book in the series. Tyler has a lot of anger in him, he has been hurt by the woman he was with for 6 years, his parents for lying to him for most of his life. So when he and raven.get together it's a friends with benefits thing. He can't promise her more. she says it's ok but she wants more. she keeps going back even though she knows it's not good for her heart. only when she admits to him that she loves him does she put her foot down and not give in anymore, she can't he won't tell her he loves her, does he eventually man up and tell her, but it's too late she doesn't believe him. He tries to convince her but she is skeptical and pushes him away. He gets into an accident and he tells her he really does love her. So they work on a real relationship. He tells her his reasons for the anger and why he thinks he is not good enough that she deserves more. They find their happiness with son patience, some work and some love.
So it's 3:20am and I just finished Unbearable. My dogs are gonna have me up in less than 4hrs and yet sleep is the last thing on my mind. I'm an emotional basket case right now. I'm ecstatic for Red and Lenny. Laughed hysterically at the time spent with with Nova. Completely and utterly in love with Tyler. Hopeful for him and Raven, and worry sick about Rawley. This book is absolutely perfect and can't wait for the next one. I have no idea how you're going to give this family up after 3 books. I know I don't want to. LOVED IT!!!!! Thanks again Shey You rock!
Didn't like it as much as I wanted to. Thought Raven was very immature throughout most of the book. Probably won't read the next because Rawley is the biggest jerk and I don't know how you could make him turn it around into a lead character I would enjoy reading about.
Nothing like sexy mechanics with tatoos! Great read, love the characters, the real life situations and the fact that I can always count on laughing and shedding a tear when reading the series
I enjoyed the first book and was on pins and needles waiting for this one. It's was so much about this story I didn't like that I don't honestly know where to begin. So I will just say I was disappointed, not what I expected. I hope the last book is better.
Ah another great book ! So glad I didn't have to wait too long for this one.. Ah it was lovely, I understood where they both were coming from but didn't like the little games towards the end.
