Very nice book and reflections. This book takes some of the sayings in the Gospel and develops them, digs deep into these sayings. You can also sometimes use some of Fr Lev Gillet’s thoughts as beautiful prayers for yourself.

A hidden jewel. If Jesus seems quiet, absent or on mute right now, I strongly recommend. You find both Christ and yourself within the pages of this book.

Insightful and deep, while being refreshingly simple. That's Lev Gillet's M.O. Anyone who is as deeply in love with Christ as he is is capable of conveying the highest forms of beauty to the reader without the need for lofty eloquence or pretense.

The Gospel accounts absolutely came to life through these reflections, and every word invited a confronting level of introspection. Definitely the kind of book I'd revisit.

A dialogue with the Savior is a highly religious yet educational book. Unlike fiction books, this one does not have a plot or storyline. The book explains many miracles that Jesus did while on earth. It also makes connections to the characteristics of the people of the Bible to our lives today. You would like this book if you are interested in learning more about how to live a Christian life and understand the symbolism and reasons behind many happenings in biblical times. For example the book explains that just like the disciples learned by talking to Christ, we can learn by reading the Holy Bible. You would also like this book if you want to see how the characteristics of Christ explained. This is done through explaining the miracles Jesus did. For example the book helps the reader understand why Jesus washed his disciples’ feet; to show that He can also be their servant.
You would not like this book if you do not enjoy religious books, and aren’t interested to look deeper into the miracles, and personality of Jesus. This book is also a difficult read. Some words are not words that we would use today. Also, there is some messiness in the ideas and how they are presented. There is no specific order or timeline of events or themes with which the author explains the information.
This book is great for someone who likes a challenging read and wants to learn more about the Christian world.

The book Jesus: A Dialogue With The Saviour, written by Lev Gillet, an eastern Orthodox monk, was very inspirational. By writing about the messages he received from reading the Bible and other spiritual books, the monk explains how to form an intimate relationship with Christ while leaving behind worldly lusts. He uses biblical examples of apostles and other figures who devoted their lives to Christ and analyzes their relationship with Christ. He explains how we must empty our mind from the world in order to focus our eyes on Christ, for only the simple minded can truly see Christ. The monk explains how after taking the first step towards Christ by focusing our gaze on him, Christ reveals everything to us, and many of our questions are answered. This helps us to learn more about Christ, which is crucial because we can not form a relationship with someone we do not know. The book continues to explain how we most put Christ at the center of our life and how we should yearn for a permanent relationship with Christ instead of an on and off relationship. The monk writes that Christians should strive to stay close to Christ no matter what our earthly situation is. To find out more about how to develop a deep friendship with Christ, read the rest of the book and embark on a spiritual journey.

"Une somme de connaissances acquises (et d'ailleurs vraies) AU SUJET du Sauveur se substitue souvent à la connassance profonde et personelle DU Sauveur. Elle peut s'interposer comme un écran entre Lui et nous.
Seigneur, te connais-je vraiment? Ou est-ce que je connais seulement ce que j'ai lu sur Toi, et ce que j'ai entendu dire de Toi?"
