7 books41 followers Laura T. Johnson is the author of Where Would I Be, Unbalanced Series, and To Love Again. Laura was first bitten by the writing bug six years ago. While reading her journal she began to realize that her story could possibly help others who were going through the same thing.
In 2006, Laura was the victim of an abusive relationship that lasted for two and half years. The relationship was volatile from the beginning. While in this relationship, Laura contemplated suicide almost on a daily basis. If asked, she would immediately tell you that what kept her from going through with suicide were her mother and younger brother. “I couldn’t leave them with that much pain, no matter what I was going through.”
In 2009, Laura began to write her first novel. She thought, as her mother had told her many times before that she was not the only woman who had or will ever go through something like this. After filling up four notebooks, she decided that she might have a book on her hands. Laura went on to make the necessary changes to her writing and started letting others read her work.
When those who’d read her work wanted to read more, she knew she had something good on her hands. Laura has continued her writing and the outcome has been one compelling story after another. She continues to keep her fans wanting more! She resides in Tennessee where she is an advocate against domestic violence.

"Unbalanced 2: Marriage then Love" by Laura T. Johnson
My Thoughts....
Having read the first novel by this author I was very much interested in reading to the continuance
of this story in this second book 2. Well, I will say for poor Catherine this author really give the reader quite a read that was so full of pain. I really felt for Catherine because truly all she wanted was to be truly loved by her husband. On the outside it seemed like that was what she had from Dorian but as one reads this story truly this wasn't the case. Did Dorian really feel that after he had abused Catherine giving her 'expensive gifts and great sex' was all that he needed to do in order to have or keep Catherine's love? There were several things going on in this read that one really can see ... Catherine being abused, Dorian horrible acts and then a love interest that was put there by a brother-in-law. With Catherine wanting to just be loved will she fall for what it seems that is out of reach for her? This story is so sad in more than one can ever know because we know someone who has or is suffering from this kind of abuse everyday of our lives. What was a puzzlement for me was what can Myles truly do about this situation without causing so deep hurt and sorrow after it is all said and done with the families [brothers,sister-in-laws, dad, mom & grandmother]. For poor Catherine I don't think she can think straight...definitely she needed someone to talk to. However, at this point I don't think it would be her sister [Elise] who was their but would Cat listen? Well, as we go into the next series maybe all of these questions will be answered and so much more that it will be all cleared up for the readers. I do believe this author will be able to make this all make sense by the time we get to the end. I would suggest anyone who has read 'Unbalanced 2' to please go back and read the first book to see what you missed by not reading Book 1. I am sure it will help you understand just what has gone on with Catherine and Dorian up to this point from book 1. Truly Dorian need HELP before it's too late! I hate to see what will happen to him if he doesn't get it! Anyway I will stop here and say I was able to follow maybe not understanding why all of this was happening but as I say earlier I am so this author will get if all presented to us in the next 'Unbalanced 3.' Yes, this is a cliffhanger. I will be looking forward to seeing will their be hope and true love for Catherine to receive her finally getting a HEA that she so desperately wants mainly from a true love.

Intense!!!!
This is the second book in the Unbalanced series and chronicles Dorian, Catherine and Myles story.
Catherine is the victim of domestic violence at the hands of her controlling and abusive husband Dorian. For each time he beat her, he would counter that with expensive gifts and sex. She knew she deserved better but felt helpless and therefore suffered in silence.
Her one saving grace was very her brother in law Myles; as a result this led to an inappropriate relationship. This book made me angry, sad and even disgusted at times.
Will she leave Dorian? Will she get her HEA with Myles? Will this totally destroy the Wallace family? This will be answered in the third novel and I can't wait. Very interesting series that I strongly recommend.

Could this series get any better? Yes, there is a book 3! Wow....these Wallace brothers are something else. This roller coaster ride is something else. I cannot wait to find out how everything ends with Dorian, Cat and Myles.

Another 5 star read for me. Catherine, Dorian, and Miles really had me screaming while reading this one. This one ends with a cliffhanger so there will be a Part 3. In the next book I hope Catherine gets it together.
