I received an ARC for an honest review.

I love how Rose has managed to allow me to pick up the story like there was no time between finishing Divine Conspiracy and starting Divine Redemption.

Patrick's drive and dedication are above amazing. Can he do it without Erin there to look him in the eye and reassure him? Can she do life without the only person to make her feel this way?

There were moments that I had to just stop reading and catch my breath. I dealt with some serious angst, in the best way.

The memories/flashbacks make me want to go back and live life with them.

It's time to head out to the open water!

After eagerly reading book one , I delved straight into book 2 and this author did not disappoint !!

The beginning took off from the ending of the first book , in trepidation I dived in unsure in which direction she would take these characters I've grown to love and cheer on .

Suspense and on the edge of your seat whirlwind , the storyline had me seriously invested and turning those pages in full force .

The mystery and unpredictable path I was on while reading had me gasping and shaking my head at one stage . Shaking my head thinking no !!!!!

The way in which Rose Hudson writes , draws out the emotions within the story she had me hook, line and sinker till I finished the last page .

Maybe a few tears were shed both of sadness and of joy . But by the time I had finished my heart was full and content and so were the characters . Lol

Rose pens her characters with depth and definition . Building them along the way, and giving the reader a crystal clear glimpse of each and every one in their true selves .

She delivers us pure evil , deception and fear . As a reader I could feel the fear wafting from the characters . This also had me gasping along the way.

I enjoyed the family unity , close friendships , unwavering love even in the darkest moments within the pages .

We see a light shine , many new memories and happy moments also . This will certainly leave you starry eyed and your heart bursting with happiness .

I'm an emotional reader and this author puts forth such vivid imagery that you can see and feel everything she has put on paper .

The love between Erin and Patrick is unwavering even in the darkest moments the love is their shining light. I loved this pair and the fact Patrick considered it a package deal even made my heart sing a little more .

An unputdownable love story with twists and turns that will have you frantically flipping till the very last pages .

Engaging , unpredictable and every romance readers blissful ending .

Once again the characters wove their way into my heart . The unwavering love and sacrifice , melted that true romantic in me .

This book picks right up where Divine Conspiracy left off, and it was a roller coaster of action and emotions! One thing is for sure, after finishing this series I am a new fan of Rose Hudson - I fell in love with her writing throughout these books. I did feel that a couple of events happened in DR without explanation or detail, and I was left questioning how the situation came to be. But other than that it was a great book. I highly recommend!

Divine Redemption is the follow up to Divine Conspiracy, so make sure you have read that first. Divine Redemption picks up exactly where Divine Conspiracy left us hanging. Erin is missing and Patrick is hellbent on getting her back.
His commitment to Erin and Ruth is unwavering and he seems to stop at nothing to make sure that the two girls in his life are safe from harm.
Patrick Lawson, is amazing. I think I fell more in love with him in this book. You get to see a softer and more selfless side of him. His love for Erin and her family definitely grows and what he would do to prove that love is limitless.
I absolutely loved this story and have fallen in love with Rose's style of writing. It's so heartfelt and emotional with a side of southern sass. She has the ability to write real characters that everyone can relate to in one way or another. There were so many twists n' turns and ups n' downs in this story that I found it difficult to put down. I couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen next!
I can hardly wait to see what Rose has in store for us next!

In Divine Redemption we pick up where the previous book left off. Erin is kidnapped by someone from Patrick’s past. She doesn’t know how she is going to get out of this but she is determined to keep her kidnapper talking about the past. Patrick is determined to find where Erin is and bring her back to her daughter. Erin and Patrick are determined to fight through this and make out on top. Little does Patrick know that he will get help from someone he least expects.

I loved this book!! Erin is kidnapped by someone from Patrick’s past but they are both determined to make it out on top. You get to see how strong their love is for one another and how they are willing to do anything to get out of this situation. With Patrick and Erin, you will see their love grow for each other even more. I can’t wait to read more!!!

With that ending of the last book can Patrick save Erin before Patrick's past steals his future?

We get flash backs into the past and insight into how Erin and Patrick find themselves in the circumstances.

This was a fast paced action packed second book that leaves you desperate to find out what's going to happen next and I can't wait to see what happens next in the series. I received this book in return for my honest opinion.

To be honest I didn't want to say to much to give the storyline away.

*Grateful to have received an ARC in exchange for an honest review*
*Note to reader: Must read Divine Conspiracy first*

With the way book 1, Divine Conspiracy, ended I was extremely happy that I did not have to wait at all to start this book to finish the duology. The first book ended with such a cliffhanger! I was so happy that I was able to dive right back into the story.

Divine Redemption, picks up right where the first book ends. Erin had been kidnapped by Patrick’s crazy ex-step-mother and he is desperate to get her back. Rose wrote this book in an amazingly fast pace that I was itching for more but then was completely shocked when it was over. However, with how quickly the book ended for me, I was very satisfied with the ending. It was a very fitting finale for all of the characters in the book.

Having moments that flashed to the past mingled in the current moments of the plot really helped to create a strong connection with both of the leading character. Patrick was a very strong alpha character. One that was hard not to fall in love with and cheer on to succeed. Erin was a strong, amazing, single mother character. She had me as her #1 cheerleader from the get-go.

What blows me away the most is that these two books are the first books Rose has written. It absolutely stops me in my tracks. Her writing and the plot was something I would expect from a seasoned writer not a newer author.

Few of My Favorite Quotes

"I feel like I’ve been waiting forever for Momma to be happy. Patrick makes her happy, and he makes me happy too.”
“You two were the only thing I ever got right."
“I’ve got forever if you do.”
"A ship is safe in harbor, but that's not what ships are for. They are meant to embrace the open waters of life. She is my open water. She is my redemption."

Divine Redemption (Divine Series book two)
Rose Hudson

Erin and Patrick are deep in love even if they've not admitted it yet. An evil person from Patrick’s past comes to threaten the peace that surrounds both of them. Jo, Patrick’s ex-stepmother, has returned to enact her final revenge on the Broussard men. To hurt and lure Patrick, Jo abducts Erin and takes her to an empty warehouse. When Patrick learns that Erin’s missing, he goes to the cops who take too long to act, so he decides to go after her himself. Ruth also decides to sneak to the warehouse once she learns what is going on.

When Jo lets Erin and Ruth go, they know this will be the last time they'll see Patrick alive. Erin soon receives a call that her sick father has made a turn for the worse. Upon arriving at the hospital in Tennessee, though, she finds out that a last minute donor match was made, and her father and the donor are in surgery. When they're out, she feels the intense urge to thank the donor for keeping at least some of her family together. Who she sees in the hospital bed, though, causes her heart to stop and restart again.

Book two in a series – not a standalone. Contemporary romance with a HEA. Mature audiences only.

So let's talk about Jo. I actually really loved that we got to see what caused her to go off the rocker like she has. I think it added a little more humanity to this “evil” character.

I'm still in awe of Patrick and Erin. I wanted to cry right along with Erin when she had to leave Patrick for dead. I'm just so glad that it all worked out in the end, and everyone ends up happy.

No, I won't tell, either, who she found in the bed! Mwahahaha. Read it for yourself to find out. (;

Seriously, though. This series was glorious. I absolutely found another author to add to my favorites! And I would love to read on about a few other characters…namely Dawson and Mel!

“I’ve got forever if you do.”

I have no shame in admitting that I squealed like a little girl when this beauty (haha, see what I did there?) hit my kindle. The ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign immediately went up whilst I dived back into the story following the cliffhanger ending of Book #1, Divine Conspiracy.

This was a goosebump inducing, suspense and tension packed ride, as all the pieces of the jigsaw puzzle are revealed and slotted back together to reveal the truth of Patrick’s history. Cue lots of ‘OMFGS!’, ‘A-has!’, guppy impersonations, and for your gob to be smacked!!

I literally felt like I was on the edge of my seat and at about two thirds of the way in I thought I was going to start wailing. Quick side note: this is not an attractive look for me.

I’m kinda in love with Patrick Lawson *shrugs* What’s not to love? He is as sexy as all get-out, doesn’t mind getting dirty *sniggers* and fights for those he loves. It’s not just the love he shows for his Beauty, Erin, but the way he opens his heart to her daughter, Ruth, that just about did my ovaries in.

I also have a #girlcrush on Erin. The strength and resilience of her character resonates with me. She puts her heart on the line, but also has to put her faith in Patrick. To trust him with her daughter’s heart; the most precious thing in Erin’s world. To say, we come together as a package deal.

And, Ruth…. this kid is full of spunk!! #GottaLoveRuth There are so many scenes where I got a lump in throat. I’d love to read about Ruth in a few years. If this is what she’s like at twelve, imagine the possibilities when she’s fully grown – hell on wheels’ springs to mind lol!!

“I’m going to make sure you never forget this, us – who we are together.”

Le sigh!! Sorry, I spaced out there for a minute. That’s the trouble with BBFs, isn’t it? They give you unrealistic expectations in real life lol.

Anyway, I’m keeping everything crossed Dawson’s story is next and I want to know about the mysterious Claire Billings!!

This is not a standalone and you must read book 1 in this series (Divine Conspiracy) first.

I recieved an ARC for an honest review and let me tell you that this book, much like the first left me, Wow'd.
Patrick and Erin's story really picks up the pace in this story. I feel that we see a new side of Patrick and if it is possible, you will fall even more in love with him. He shows you what it is like to truly love someone with all of yourself. Patrick and Erin have a lot of troubles t face during this book. Ok, really it is just one person who causes all this trouble, but this person is pure evil.
This person has no redeeming qualities and yet, Rose makes you feel for this person. You end up feeling sorry for this poor broken soul and she has you wishing that this person can get the help they need. Rose accoomplishes this through Erin's charcter and her interactions with this person. Well done, Rose.
Onto Ruth, Erin's amazingly strong 12 yr old daughter. She shows her true colors and proves she is one tough cookie. I loved getting see Ruth in this light and I truly hope Rose has more plans for her.
Patrick and Erin's love story is just getting started and I can't wait to see their love grow through this series. I will say it seems Rose has closed "their" story, but that we will see them throughout the series or at least I hope we will.
We don't see as much of the other characters in this stories as we did in the first. I really hope Rose has plans for the other characters especially Mel and Dawson.

Trigger warning: suicide is mentioned multiple times during the book.

Divine Redemption picked up right where Divine Conspiracy left off, so it's safe to assume that you will need to read Book 1 first. Erin is missing, and Patrick is hell bent on finding her. His, off her rocker, stepmother, has found him, and out for revenge, and she will have it by any means possible. The police can't find her, the FBI isn't having any luck either, but Patrick knows that he will have to be the one to save her, as well as making sure her daughter Ruth, stays safe. Will Patrick find Erin before it's too late?

Another book that I've had to lightly describe, because I'm telling you, my emotions are all over the place, and spoilers will come from every direction, if I'm not careful. This book started out with a bang, and I swear that I didn't catch my breath again, until the very end. The character development is fantastic, as the evolvement of Patrick, has been nothing short of beautiful. Erin is no slouch in that department either, but Patrick's past really messed him up big time. The entertaining cast of secondaries gave some breathers from the intense suspense with well placed humor before the end. Rose Hudson's talented writing style has me fully addicted with no recovery on the horizon. Her diabolical twists and turns, had me yelling colorful metaphors late at night, and I very nearly sent her name calling messages. I was physically exhausted after finishing this story, and I will warn everyone, don't start it before bed! I'm throwing out a brilliant author alert, and I CANNOT WAIT to read more by her! So I have to HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND this series, and author to ALL!

Divine Redemption brought to a conclusion the story that Rose Hudson began in Divine Conspiracy. When I was reading Divine Conspiracy and came upon the cliff hanger ending, well, I was shocked because I didn’t see it coming and I was anxious to read the ending of Patrick, Erin and Ruth’s story.

In Divine Conspiracy the past has come back to haunt Patrick in the form of his step-mother. She is taking her revenge against Patrick by using his love of Erin. As he attempts to save her, he takes the time to care about her daughter, Ruth and what her reaction to the situation may be proving his deep connection to both of them. He continues to show his devotion to them with his actions and words making you really want an HEA for everyone.

As she did in her first book, Ms. Hudson delivers a plot twist I did not see coming and proved a gratifying conclusion to Patrick and Erin’s story while giving us additional background on peripheral characters that (I hope) we may see in additional stories.

Once again, Ms. Hudson did not disappoint. A well thought out story with excellent writing. It will have you wanting to skip ahead to learn more, but don’t miss a page because it’s that good.

This is book 2 in the series and may I say I was NOT disappointed. It was just as good as book 1, if not better.

This book follows Patrick and Erin's stories.
Patrick is a man with a terrible past, who believes he isn't good enough for Erin. Erin is a single mother with issues of her own.

Patrick was a great alpha character who is protective of Erin and Ruth, at times to his own detriment. He was a character you cheered for, cried for, loved and wanted to see succeed.

Erin is a Mumma bear and the type of person you hope a HEA is in the cards for. She didn't have an easy life and she isn't a wilting flower. I love her strength and willingness to go up to bat for those she considers family.

Together these characters draw you in to a story filled with drama, suspense, heartache, love and determination to get to the end.

The plot was strong and had a great deal of turmoil and reflection on the journey to the end of the story. I found it hard to break and do actual adulting while reading his story, it was just that good.

Well done Rose Hundson, you got me again!

Divine Redemption was given to me as an ARC by the author in exchange for a fair and honest review. ...this is the second in the series following the story of Patrick a sexy, alpha male, with a dark history, and Erin a strong ,feisty female with equally tragic past. This second book is a rollercoaster ride..a series that started out as a romance between a wrongfully accused ex-con and a single mother has developed into a thriller where the main protagonist is willing to kill to take her revenge and unfortunately Patrick and Erin are the focus of this retribution.
The scene is set for an exciting story of murder, kidnap and revenge.. but coupled with this it is the story of love.. the platonic love between friends, the protective love between parents and their children, but above all the deep, sacrificing love between two lovers.
Divine Redemption brings to a conclusion the story of Patrick and Erin I look forward to seeing where the spotlight falls for the next in the series.

After that cliffy, I was dying to get my hands on Divine Redemption to read the continuation of
Erin and Patrick’s story. It was definitely a good conclusion to this series.

With Erin in danger at the hands of his step-mother, Patrick is again faced with the evil that tore apart his family to save the woman he loves. He will do whatever it takes to save her, even if that means paying the ultimate price.

This story was so good. It was full of angst with a lot of action that I did not want to put it down. We learn more about why Jo, Patrick’s step-mother is such a psycho. Her background helps the reader understand why she went after Patrick and his family. Enough said, I don’t want to ruin it for anyone. I do have to say, Oh Freddy. My heart bled for him and what he had to do.

Excellent story. I couldn’t ask for a better conclusion to this story. Loved it.

I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

“It’s a funny thing coming home. Nothing changes. Everything looks the same, feels the same, even smells the same. You realize what’s changed is you.” F. Scott Fitzgerald.

I can absolutely relate to this feeling. And this theme throughout the book. The way that our pasts can haunt us, and some of our worst nightmares never really go away.

The follow up to Erin and Patrick's story is filled with suspense, nail biting, plenty of action, and an ending that well... I won't spoil that one.

"You call me beauty, so it's only fitting to call you beast."

I loved these two as a couple. I loved that even after all of the darkness, they can still find beauty in each other. This was a beautifully written book by Rose Hudson and I can't wait to see where her mind takes us next.

"A ship is safe in harbor, but that’s not what ships are for. They are meant to embrace the open waters of life. She is my open water. She is my redemption."

Rose outdone herself on this book!
This book starts off right where book 1 stopped.
The suspense build was incredible. I had no clue what was going to happen next. I wanted to punch Jo in the throat one second and then I wanted to sit down with her and hug her. My emotions while reading this book was all over the place. Definitely experience all the feels while reading. Needless to say I only bookmarked one time while reading and that was to eat supper.
Erin and Patrick had been through so much and what he done for her dad. Ahhh.
Every single detail lined up perfectly and like I said the suspense of not knowing what was going to happen next had me begging for more.
This book series is one I will read again and again. Thank you Rose Hudson for providing me a copy of this book to review on my blog Hot Box Reviews. This one be one series I'll need in paperback.

Divine Redemption picks up right where Divine Conspiracy leaves off and I am so glad that it did. The reader finds themselves in the situation with Ruth, Erin and Patrick, wondering what will happen, will Patrick get to Erin in time and has his past finally caught up to him in a way that he has put those he loves in danger.

While Erin fights with everything she has, Patrick goes beyond what is necessary for the woman that he loves. As Erin said in the very beginning, she has forever if he does.

This book is filled with excitement, intrigue, healing and love with a HEA that will put a smile on the readers face.

I recommend this series.

Megan's Review

Book two in this series * It’s a must to read Divine Conspiracy first…No spoilers given but it’s a continuing duet that needs to be read together.

When I read Divine Conspiracy I knew going in there would be two books. I knew nothing else and I liked it that way. I liked the effect this duet had but I don’t think it needed more than one to tell the story. There was a lot of getting to know Erin and Patrick separately in the first. The big conclusion with the 2nd. And, YES, their chemistry (thankfully NOT instant anything, but mere attraction) was spot on, the true story took a while to get there. Take away some of the detailed….details

So Divine Redemption is the conclusion to Book 1 Divine Conspiracy (so you do need to read book 1) and oh lawd what a rollercoaster ride of a book. Rose has outdone herself with these two books and should give herself a big pat on the back.

I loved all the characters and dare I even say it, I felt sorry for Jo, I shouldn't have....but I did!

well done Rose!
