Jason is happy to see his son Josh, but when he sees Lanie, and his body reacts to her, Jason thinks it's just the stress of his son being involved with this woman so young. As the time goes on and Jason discovers that Josh and Lanie live together, he's really worried they're moving to fast. Lanie can't believe she's on such an amazing holiday with her best friend, and that she gets to be up close to Jason whom she's had a crush on since she saw his photo. Now all she has to do is convince Josh to tell Jason about his engagement. When Jason upsets Josh, he gets angry and Josh yells that he's engaged to Lanie, Lanie is mortified and tells Josh to tell Jason the truth. Jason arranges an internship for Josh with the intent of seducing Lanie so that he can prove to Josh that Lanoe is wrong for him, and he's making a big mistake. As Jason and Lanie spend time together, their feelings grow, until Jason overhears a conversation between Josh and Lanie about infidelity and forgiveness. Now Jason plans to destroy Lanie.
This was a great story, it was also heartbreaking, especially when you learn what Lanie has been through. It's also a great lesson in telling the truth.
