Enjoyable second-chance romance/suspense. Jill is an FBI agent. Hayden was formerly a SEAL and is now the town sheriff. The setting is a small Florida town by the sea. Jill returns home for some much needed time off, but instead ends up facing some old demons. She also reunites with former love Hayden who is still crazy-in-love with her. I loved the small oceanside town of Hope and the likable leads who seemed like they were meant-to-be. On the romance side, sometimes the thoughts and conversations tended toward repetitive at times, but the suspense side was very well done and kept me entertained throughout.

As teenagers, Hayden and Jillian are bonded together after he rescues her from a kidnapper. They stick together and fall in love, but as often happens with young love, it didn’t end well. They’ve both never quite recovered.

Now ten years later, Jillian is an FBI agent needing some time off to recharge after a case gone bad. She goes home recuperate, and doesn’t expect to find Hayden back, too, seeing as he’s supposed to be away serving as a Navy SEAL. But her intel is a little outdated, and Jillian’s faced with the man who broke her heart.

Hayden let Jillian go ten years back, but he won’t make the same mistake twice. She may not be ready to let him back in yet, but the sparks are still there and they now have a common goal: solve the cold case murder of Christy Anderson, a teenager taken and killed immediately after Jillian’s rescue.

I loved that Jillian was a smart, well-trained woman able to defend herself, but smart enough to know when to take help when needed. I hate it when a character goes off half-cocked, recklessly charging toward avoidable danger. Not the case with Jillian.

I’m always a sucker for a second chance romance. Hayden and Jillian never got over their first love, and so I wanted to see them happy and together. Hayden was determined and Jillian was understandably cautious, but didn’t push him away. They didn’t hold back their thoughts or feelings about the past, working things out while trying to stay one step ahead of a killer. This became trickier as the threats became more and more dangerous! This wacko just didn’t quit!

I love Cynthia Eden’s writing! She kept me on the edge of my seat for much of the story with action, thrills, and twists! I had to read Abduction straight through!

After meeting Samantha Dark, Jillian’s FBI profiler friend, I’m looking forward to her books in this series!

When Jillian West was thirteen she not only lost her parents, she was also kidnapped right after she moved to a new town. Luckily she was saved by the town’s troublemaker. A boy who in turn became her best friend, her first love and lover. But he broke her heart at nineteen when he left her. Jillian went on to pursue her dream of becoming an FBI agent, of finding missing children. But with every lost case, every child they find too late, Jillian finds herself becoming undone. And Jillian decides that it is time to return home to find some closure.

At fifteen Hayden Black was used to the bad label his father’s misdeeds left him with. Everyone assumed that the apple didn’t fall far from the tree. Until a redhead girl looked at him like he was good, like he could mean something. And when he saw her being taken, he knew he had to save her. And in turn she saved him, became his everything. But he knew he had to let her go to make something of himself for her. When he returns to his home town he doesn’t expect to see her sooner than he thought he would, in the exact same spot he saw her for the first time so many years ago. This time Hayden won’t let Jillian go again.

But someone else is also happy that Jillian is back. A sinister presence from their past. Can Hayden keep the only woman he’s ever loved safe again from harm? And can they finally put their evil past to rest in order to have their second chance at happiness?

One night...ten years ago...he’d ripped her heart right out of her chest.
A woman could do a whole lot in this world without a heart.

Jillian was a great heroine. She’s dedicated to her job as an FBI agent, but also so broken because of what happened to her and to another young girl who was taken right after she was saved all those years ago. I also liked that she didn’t just fall back into Hayden’s arms, especially not with their past.

Ten years too long. Ten years of memories and dreams. Ten years of being without her.
No more. He had her back in his arms next to him. He wasn’t letting go.

I loved Hayden and how Jillian was everything to him. Usually with this type of trope the hero would profess that the heroine was the love of his life, the one that got away, but nothing about their actions in the time apart proves it. They don’t go out to find their supposed lost love, it’s usually a chance meeting and then suddenly they realise the truth. Ugh. But not Hayden. He had his reasons for leaving Jillian and although I didn’t fully agree with them I could understand why he felt that way. With his past it made sense that he would want to make something more of himself, for her and for him. And the great thing was that he was planning to go find her in Georgia now that he had retired. There was never any doubt that he loved Jillian, that he had always loved her.

“I’ve loved you since I was fifteen years old. You’ve always been my world.” He needed her to understand this. “I will never stop loving you.” Just as he’d never stop fighting for her, for them.

Second chance romances are not a favorite of mine, but Cynthia Eden knows how to write a winner. From the first moment these two met as teenagers their connection was palpable. How they went from best friends, to young lovers and even their decade apart didn’t diminish the intensity of their love. Their romance was passionate and beautiful and I loved it.

This author writes some of the best romantic thrillers. I love how dark and twisted they are, the sadistic killers. And as always I was kept to the edge of my seat trying to figure out who the villain was.

There was also a great cast of secondary characters and I’m especially intrigued by Jillian’s friend and FBI colleague Samantha Dark, who is a very talented profiler, excellent at getting into the heads of serial killers. And the sparks between her and her new partner Blake Gamble left me very excited ;-)

Cynthia Eden is one of my favorite authors and she’s written another winner. This was an excellent start to a very promising series. A definite must read for those who love romantic thrillers with the perfect balance of sexy romance and gripping suspense. Highly recommended.

Let it be known I am in a book slump lately. And this is not the book that will throw me out of it.

Boring, with a whiny useless woe is me heroine, and her perfect useless I did it for you partner. I swear to god I don't hate weaknesses, but at least show me some steel before the rust.

*The useless twat feels guilty because she survived and her successor didn't. I'm sure it's normal. I'm not that sure it's normal 15 years after the fact... And I'm pretty sure you are not a good candidate for law enforcement if you are so unbalanced.
* A single episode of your work doesn't show me you're burned, it tells me. Not enough sorry.
* I don't respect a woman who doesn't survive a broken heart. And ten years after is still moping and doesn't love anyone else. Get real. Better get a good psy evaluation, please.
*Instalust/ Instalove. Ten years ago you had an affair. You see each other again and I have to believe in something that's not there. This is not romance. :/

Why would I want to read this is beyond me. And the I am so good I am god villain is so cliché in the genre it should be killed on sight.

Sorry, I don't think I got much past a quarter of the story. Judge if it's enough for you to take my piece of advice.

On may 25, 17 is 0,99 cents. Make your bet.

Review posted on Got Fiction?

Quick Note: This is listed as book 1, but there’s a prequel called The Gathering Dusk, and there seem to be more books in this series, some are Harlequin Intrigues and some are HQN, so I’m not entirely sure of the order. I mention that because the prequel and the second? third? book have the same heroine/hero. My guess is the prequel is introducing us to the cast. I just bought it and I’ll update this after I read it.

Cynthia Eden, Mistress of Suspense is back with her latest series, the Killer Instinct series. This book begins with Jillian West being abducted. She’s thirteen and the man who takes her doesn’t plan on letting her live. But a boy standing at the edge of the pier, a boy she’d just spoken to, saw everything. And he isn’t letting her get away, even if it means chasing down a serial killer.

Hayden Black fell in love with Jill that first day they met. Saving her from a killer did more than change him from bad boy to hometown hero, it saved him. But he never felt good enough for her. So when he knew she wanted to go into the FBI, the only way to make that happen was to let her go. But he didn’t realize he’d broken her heart. Joining the Navy was his way to improving himself. He needed to make himself into someone she could be proud of.

When Jill came back to Hope, FL, she didn’t expect to see Hayden. She knew exactly where his SEAL team was. So running into him on the beach where they first met was completely unexpected. Turns out she was right about where his team was, but she didn’t know he’d left the Navy and was now the sheriff.

But the man who’d abducted her took someone else. Jill and Hayden couldn’t let that go, nor could they ignore the idea that she might be the ultimate target. But can they deal with this new development in the case as well as their feelings for each other? The past is rising up again, in more ways than one, and the two of them need to put it behind them or move on. But with a break in an old case, can they do that?

This book reminds me of Ms. Eden’s LOST series, and I love that series, so this is a good thing! I think that she writes incredible serial killers. I know that might not sound like the best compliment, but seriously, nothing is worse than reading a Romantic Suspense where you know who the bad guy is within the first few chapters. Ms. Eden’s bad guys are never cardboard characters, and they’re always someone you don’t see coming. At least not right away.

I liked how Hayden didn’t beat around the bush. He saw Jill again, and went for it. He didn’t try to play it cool, or to hide his feelings. And even though Jill was standoffish at first, I liked how she realized that holding Hayden at arm’s length wasn’t possible, and their history needed to stay in the past.

This book is an excellent way to start a new series, and I can’t wait to dive into the prequel. With suspense, action, and romance, Abduction holds other Romantic Suspense books to a new standard.

Good combination of second chance romance and suspense. As a teenager, Jillian had been kidnapped. Hayden had witnessed the abduction and saved her, going from town troublemaker to town hero in one evening. Jill and Hayden became good friends, and later much more. But he walked away to become a SEAL and Jill went on to become an FBI agent.

Ten years later Jill and Hayden are reunited when she returns to Hope, burned out on her job dealing with child abductions and still haunted by what had happened to her. She is determined to reopen the case and find the man who had kidnapped her and murdered another girl. She doesn't expect to find Hayden also back in town, now serving as sheriff. They hadn't forgotten each other, or their feelings and the attraction flared hot once again.

I liked both Jill and Hayden. Jill is smart, capable and very good at her job. Her past as a kidnappee has made given her extra motivation in her work but has also made some cases harder to bear than others. I ached for her and the pain she felt at each loss. Hayden was terrific. He is honorable, protective, and has a surprisingly soft heart. I loved how he had turned his life around when he met Jill, determined to be someone worthy of her.

I really enjoyed the rekindling of Jill and Hayden's relationship. It is obvious from the start that their feelings for each other had never died, in spite of the way they parted. Jill was broken-hearted when Hayden left, not knowing that he believed he wasn't good enough for her. Leaving was the hardest thing that Hayden had ever done, but he thought he was doing the right thing. I loved the bits about how they had kept track of each other over the years. With Jill's arrival back in Hope, Hayden sees it as a chance to show her that they belong together and that he isn't going to let her go. Jill is a bit more cautious, knowing that risking her heart again could have devastating consequences for her. As they worked together on the case, they also got to know each other again. I loved that they were able to talk about their past and make the decision to move forward and see where things go. I loved Hayden's big moment at the end - his vulnerability and nervousness were sweet and his words so heartfelt.

The suspense of the story was really good too. From the prologue to the conclusion, the intensity built steadily. Jill's determination to solve the mystery became stronger when she was attacked. The glimpses into the mind of the killer show that he is equally determined to finish what he started. I loved seeing the pieces start to come together and was on the edge of my seat as they raced to save another victim. Though I had figured out the bad guy, the final confrontation was intense in the way it happened.

I liked the support that Jill got from her friend Samantha. That woman was scary good at what she does. Besides her work on helping to identify the killer, I loved Sam's "profiling" of Hayden and her comments to him.

Couldn't put this one down! The plot has FBI Agent Jill West returning to the town of Hope, feeling burnt out from her career, in an effort to solve a cold case kidnapping - her own! When she was 13, she was kidnapped, but rescued by town bad boy Hayden Black. Another girl ended up being killed in her place. When Jill returns, it's been 10 years. Since then, Hayden has been a SEAL and is now the sheriff. Of course, there's still plenty of unresolved issues between them! And of course, Jill's return brings a psychopath back out of the woods.

A couple of books ago, I gave a low rating to Secret Stalker, which also dealt with a H and h being apart for 10 years. That book had the H being a cry-baby insensitive dick to the h (who was mourning her mother, no less), and whinging non-stop about how he never, ever got over her. Here, Hayden is also clear that he never got over Jill, but he's never a total dick about it. Instead, he wants to prove his love to her. He left her to join the Navy SEALs to show he could be the man he needed, and it broke her heart, but Hayden and Jill are actually able to have a conversation about their issues like rational adults! So refreshing! Rare for a romance, sometimes! So I found myself invested in the romance as well as the suspense.

As for the suspense, this was also a winner. The plot was suspenseful and creepy. We got occasional viewpoints from the killer, and they help keep the tension boiling without going overboard. There was never a dull moment in this one! The pacing and tension really ratcheted up as the book approached its climax.

Any irks? Of course! And as much as I liked Jill and Hayden and was invested in their romance, their characters tended to teeter on the brink of martyrdom at times. Some dialogue was clunky, particular when Samantha Dark was introduced, and I could have done without the introduction of Blake Gamble. Samantha and Blake are clearly going to get a book of their own down the track. Didn't need any of that set up here, to be frank.

But all in all, this is exactly what I look for in the Intrigue line! I actually dug the romance, and the plot had lots of suspense and creepy moments! If you like this category, this is definitely one to check out!

Yo no me lo he creído.

I did not know that this story is the first in the series Killer Instinct . And I'm glad I read it before After the Dark because Abduction does not hold a candle up to it.

The best thing has been the romance. It really has touched me and it has been so easy to connect with the MC´s. They had been honest, with layers and bursting with feelings. I knew from the first page that they belonged to each other, I wanted to see them together, but I also knew that they had to save some obstacles if the relationship was going to seem sincere, and so it has been. The physical attraction was clear and indisputable from the start but it was much more important to lay the foundations of a healthy, mature and enduring relationship. Hence they spoke, they opened up to each other and tried to rediscover the new people they had become. I really was delighted.

But, and it is a first rate but, the suspense has been atrocious. Really. I know I´m persnickety but this time it has seemed that the suspense was written just for the sake of writing one. There has only been a suspect. But then there was only this character so either he was the bad guy or the author had to put a bad guy out of thin air. I didn´t believe it. And it´s not as if the author worked to make it credible. And in top of all, there were not explanations, everything remained in vague guesses. Only is resolved the who did it. You can forget about knowing the how, why, when, where or how many.
And I can´t forget the total similarity between the ends of both stories (After the Dark and Abduction ). It has been a shameless copy & paste. It is the end of the story, for crying out loud, the climax, the culmination, its peak… and I was reading the same thing again… What a shame!
Although I could have overlooked all of the above if only Ms. Eden hadn´t committed the suspense´s mortal sin: she decided that her heroine would be TSTL. I couldn't believe it... I was reading it and couldn´t believe it. And not once, no, just in case there was still any doubt she made the heroine do it a couple of times. Really, I can´t understand how an author can think we are going to buy that a smart, intelligent FBI agent could do such nonsense, she could have made her fly while she was at it.
And I'm not going to complain about that almost always is the heroine who has to be the TSTL one. I´ll leave that for another day.

To sum it up, while the suspense has been a disaster the romance was a 5-stars one. So I would recommend it only if you didn´t mind the suspense...
Well, at least I got to see a bit of Sam and Blake of After the Dark, sip, that also was great.

Another great romantic suspense from Eden. This one was dark in terms of it involving children, however it never went to a place that made it unreadable. I loved the start, I was instantly hooked after that prologue. Hayden and Jill were both great leads and I loved how strong, resilient, and smart Jill was. She and Hayden complemented each other well. Definitely recommend!

History: Jill, having tragically lost her parents at the age of thirteen, moved in with her grandmother. Jill was warned to stay away from Hayden because of his reputation as a troublemaker, but Jill didn't listen, hoping to make a friend in her new life. When Hayden, tough fifteen-year-old exterior in full force, asks a seemingly innocent question not knowing Jill's situation, she walks away upset, and into danger. Thankfully, Hayden, already knowing how important she'll become to him, sees this and rescues her, cementing his place in her life forever as her best friend, and eventually her everything, until he broke her heart.

"And she'd been wishing, so desperately, that Hayden would appear. Bad things didn't happen when Hayden was close. Until the day that Hayden became the bad thing in her life." - Jill

Sixteen years after she was taken, Jill is an FBI agent and emotionally broken after working so many child abduction cases. She needs time to recover, and something pulls her back home.

Hayden, a former SEAL, was labeled as the town's bad boy because of who, and what, his Dad was, not realizing the reasons behind Hayden's own actions. But the day he saved Jill, everyone's perceptions of him changed...he was now a hero in their eyes, and wanted to be worthy of that title. Not because he cared how others thought of him, only Jill's opinion matteres. Now he's returned home and is the sheriff. Talk about irony, right?

The day Hayden sees Jill, realizing she's come back, he knows it's fate. The thing is, even if she hadn't, he was going to her. He'd waited long enough. It's been ten years since he walked away from Jill, feeling it was better for her if he did so, and he's determined to win her back, where he's always wanted her, where she belongs. They say you never forget your first love, and for both Hayden and Jill, that's not a cliche, but fact. The one difference is they've been each other's only love. No one else has ever, could ever, compare.

"Jill, when are you going to realize that I'd pretty much do anything for you?" - Hayden

But Hayden isn't the only one that's noticed Jill's return. Someone looks at her and remembers the young redheaded teenager that got away. This time though, his plans have changed. She needs to pay for ruining his life.

As someone is plotting Jill's demise, Hayden is planning the future he prays they can have. However, Jill, having been devastated when he left her years ago, knows she won't survive losing him a second time. What Jill doesn't realize is that Hayden will never let her go this time.

"But if you want more..." He exhaled. "Then I'll give you everything I have." - Hayden

While Hayden and Jill navigate their feelings, emotions that only strengthened, never waned, they investigate a cold case. The one that haunts Jill to do this day, because even though Hayden rescued her, another girl, Christy Anderson, wasn't.

Will Hayden and Jill get their second chance? Can Hayden make Jill understand why he had to leave her back then? That it was never her that wasn't enough, that he had to prove himself to be enough for her? Can they solve Christy's case? And maybe in the process solve Jill's as well? What happens when there's another girl is taken? Can they save her? Can Hayden protect Jill? Is Hayden safe? Or is someone willing to do anything to accomplish their goal, even if it means killing the sheriff? Who's responsible for taking Jill and Christy? Are the two cases even connected? Will Hayden and Jill finally get their HEA? Or is their relationship destined to remain only a memory?

"I will be the man you need. I will be good enough for you." - Hayden
"You always were." - Jill

One-click now and follow along as two people with a long history of loving one another, find their way back to the one they were always meant to be with. Please keep in mind there is a prequel to this series titled The Gathering Dusk introducing Samantha Dark.

I really wanted to like this book. I did really like the story, but the writing just ruined it for me. I’m a huge fan of Cynthia Eden’s earlier work, so it’s obvious she’s had to clean up her language quite a bit for these Harlequin Intrigue titles, which completely throws me off because it’s not what I expect from her. Calling a man who abducts a girl with the end goal of killing her, a jerk? Not even close to harsh enough language. That’s just one instance of many, and each one is grating because I know that previously she would have chosen different words.

I probably would have enjoyed this book more if I hadn’t had her earlier Deadly series to compare it to, but none of her newer romantic suspense novels live up to that amazing trilogy of books. Like I said, I liked the premise for the story. Girl gets abducted but the town bad boy saves her and they form a strong bond, only to be torn apart, then reunite when they’re older and experienced enough to know what they want. It sounded perfect to me, but how the story was written was a disappointment.

What I love about Harlequin Romance Intrigue books are they are quick, easy to put down and a fast read. What I forgot about Cynthia Eden novel is no matter who she writes for you can't put her books down. From first to last word she will have reads hooked turning pages and rereading wondering did that really just happen. The story doesn't end with the last word she has the reader wondering what really happens in the mind of a serial killer and about the people who truly hunt him every day.
This book isn't the first or the last I will read by this amazing New York Best Seller.

I couldn't put this book down every word pulled me into a world of killers, best friends, romance and who will be alive at the end of the book.

Thank you Netgalley for the advance copy

I found this one to be fairly standard fare, predictable from the start, from Jill and Hayden's friendship with the bad boy, then more. How Hayden did what he could to save her, then walking away when they were young. In the present things were predictable again, even down to who the bad guy was. I'm surprised they didn't figure things out sooner.

Abduction is a fast paced suspense that falls into the realm of the Killer Instincts series. It could be read as a stand alone but the two main characters from the Killer Instincts series do play a part in this book.

The women in this series are strong FBI women who can take care of themselves. Their men are Alpha's but they respect the strengths of their women.

This both a second chance romance of Sheriff Hayden Black and FBI agent Jillian West and trying to solve the cold case of who abducted Jillian and killed another girl her age when she was a teenager. Jillian returning to town awakens the killer who wants to finish what he started.

WOW! This is one of my favorite books. It had it all. It had one of the sweetest love stories mixed in with an ongoing murder investigation, and a current kidnapping. The action, and suspense was excellent.

Hayden was known as the trouble maker in town. Jill was 13 years old. She was the first person who’d ever looked at him like he wasn’t trash. She looked at him like he was someone who mattered. Shortly after they met, Jill was kidnapped. Hayden set off on a bike following them. He saved her. In one-day Hayden had gone to the bad boy to the town hero, and it was all because of Jill.

Fast forward 10 tens. Hayden had served 10 years as a Navy Seal, and is now the town sheriff. Jill was a FBI investigator. She has reached burn out, and needs a break. She heads back to Hope where she first met Hayden. She wants closure from when she was kidnapped. Now that she is a FBI investigator, she needs to work the old case, and search for answers. The day after she was kidnapped, and saved, another girl her age was killed. She has survivors guilt.

It doesn’t take long, for things to start happening once she makes it home. The story also lets you into the mind of the man that killed the girl, and kidnapped Jill. Beautiful Jill was the only one that ever got away. Now that they are both back in the same town, he wants to finish what he started. Hayden vows to keep Jill safe. I love how the two got a second chance at love.

This one is going on my list of favorites. I just can’t explain how good this one is. You’ll just have to read it to find out.

Jill was abducted when she was 13. Hayden, the town bad boy, was the one who rescued her. It turns out Hayden was colored by his father's action. His father was a horrible person (so the son must be too). After Jill's rescue, the town see him in a new light. They become best friends and then lovers. As teenagers do, they break up so Hayden can prove himself worthy of Jill and Jill can go to college and then the FBI.
Fast forward 10 years and Hayden is retired from the Seals, Jill is an FBI agent specializing in child abduction. After a case goes wrong, she comes back to her hometown. She plans on using the time to look into the cold case of the abduction/murder of a girl her age after her escape/rescue.
Both Hayden and Jill are likable, competent characters. They talk and reconnect. They worked well and I liked them together. There is a decent amount of suspense and mystery.
I read this for Romance-opoly Emergency Services Moon track

He saved her life when they were teens, later he left and broke her heart.

Jillian West has returned to Hope and come face to face with Hayden Black the boy who saved her and the man she never stopped loving. When Jillian start investigating an old murder, the evil that took her as a child resurfaces and Hayden will put everything on the line to protect her.

I am loving this series and would definitely recommend this book and series to readers

Didn't love it, didn't hate it. Liked the heroine well enough, liked the hero a lot. Figured out who the killer was long before it was revealed.

Lu en français. Un super Cynthia Eden avec un suspense haletant. Comme d'habitude, on a du mal à savoir qui est le méchant avant la fin.

As a young girl Jillian was kidnapped and saved by the towns trouble maker Hayden. After that he was seen in a good light and eventually became a Sheriff of the town. Thing is the kidnapper was never caught. Now Jillian is back in town and is looking to open up her case and find her kidnapper when a child goes missing. Now its a race against the clock to save the teen.

I loved this book. There was so much going on hardly any down time before something happened. I loved that there was that not only does the readers get the pov of both main characters but the kidnappers pov as well. I also loved the connection between the characters and seeing everything came out in the end. I loved that I managed to be surprised in the ending, I wasn't expecting that person! Overall a really great book it kept me hooked till the end.

Abduction
4 Stars

Series note: This book is connected to Eden's Killer Instincts series. In terms of chronology, it should be read before the prequel Gathering Dusk. That said, I read it following After the Dark and it did not affect my enjoyment of the story.

After a case ends badly, FBI agent Jillian West returns to her hometown for some much needed rest. Once there, she learns that the new sheriff is none other than her childhood sweetheart, Hayden Black. Once the town bad boy, Hayden became a hero when he saved Jillian from a vicious predator. Now, he and Jill join forces to hunt down the killer who escaped justice before he strikes again.

The investigation revolving around discovering the identity of the man who took Jill and later killed another girl is suspenseful. Nevertheless, it is pretty easy to guess the culprit simply due to the lack of suspects. The inclusion of characters from the Killer Instinct series is a bonus and it was interesting to see Samantha and Blake when they first became partners.

Jill and Hayden's second chances romance is the real focus of the book. They are likable as individuals and engaging as a couple with strong chemistry.

One minor issue that I've noticed in Eden writing is her overuse of the word "guy". It appears far to often and has become so noticeable as to be annoying.

Overall, a quick and enjoyable read. I look forward to reading the rest of the Killer Instinct series.

Once the town troublemaker, Sheriff Hayden Black became the teen hero who saved young Jillian West from a savage kidnapper. He never got over their brief affair. Now the ex-SEAL and the burned-out FBI agent have reunited in their Florida hometown and rediscovered their powerful attraction. But as they hunt down a long-forgotten killer, will they get a second chance at happiness? When a series of accidents begins to plague Jill, Hayden won't let her fall victim again. There's too much history between them…and too much desire.

Events from the pasts have molded the lives of Hayden Black and Jillian West. Her brutal kidnapping years before lead them to lives they now lead. When they are reunited years later, they find there are still embers burning between them that flair to a raging inferno as they hunt a killer and investigate the incidents that have been plaguing Jill before the next accident can claim her life.

Suspenseul story filled with strong characters and a tight storyline. The romance rivals the mystery in claimng the attention of the reader. Either way readers will find themselves glued to their seats as they travel the Florida sites.

My rating of "Abduction - Killer Instincts" is 4.75 out of 5 stars.
