This books undoubtedly has been an informative read. I picked up this book only because the title conveys about simplifying the process of entrepreneurship. An act of venturing which comes with endless possibilities at both ends of the spectrum has been put forward in most simplified manner which makes it a beautiful read for anyone who is looking forward to explore the path of creating your own company.
Ashok alongwith Gopalan takes us on the journey of their own experiences and shares with the insights of what goes beyond creating a multi million dollar entity. The way thoughts have been laid out with such clarity is commendable.
Each chapter comes with key takeaways at the end only to absorb the information shared throughout the chapter with more precision. The book has been overall drafted in a well thought out manner and which makes it an easy informative read.
I would strongly recommend this book to anyone who is willing to get started with their own venture. This books puts forward the true picture out for you and guides you in several areas that could be unknown to us.
All in all, a great pick. I enjoyed reading it throughout :')
Entrepreneurship Simplified by Ashok Soota comes at a time when the Indian startup ecosystem is going through a churn. If you were to compare the last three-quarters of this year with last year, there was a major decrease in investments. Indian startups saw $3.5 billion invested across 815 deals between Q1-Q3 2016, as compared last year’s (Jan to Sept) $7.3 billion invested across 639 deals.
The authors focus on: idea validation, how to raise funding, winning with VCs (which many entrepreneurs would definitely like to know), and how to build values and culture as the team grows. There are separate chapters on marketing and business strategy, wealth creation and sharing and of course, the initial public offering. Considering entrepreneurship is as much about failing as it is about winning, the authors have included a full chapter on failure and success.
Entrepreneurship Simplified is a definitive book on the subject that replicates the passion, fun and sense of fulfilment that accompanies the start-up adventure.

A step by step guide from Idea to IPO. Anyone who wants to be an entrepreneur can use it as a crash course to know what all things have to be considered. Someone who is following that path can use it as a reference.
We are always aware of examples from Silicon Valley but this book highlights examples from Indian context. Some examples: Mindtree, Happiest Minds, etc.
This book doesn't scare people -- the oneliner review for the book. While most of the books I read on the similar subject tend to inflate the author's persona and bravado while operating a business, Ashok Soota took more of a plebeian approach. He articulated his own success, missteps, failures and more importantly lessons he learned from those failures in a very unambiguous and succinct manner.
