Rate this book
POOKA is a modern take on an ancient Irish folktale. Orla is a young girl who often creates her own trouble. The mysterious, playful Pooka finds her by the castle ruins and takes her on a wild ride up to the moon. Left alone to contemplate her behavior, she begins to feel homesick. Suddenly, a young witch crashes into the moon astride a vacuum cleaner. This stubborn witch proves even more bad tempered and angry than Orla and they forge an alliance where they need to learn to cooperate to get back to earth.
