About the author

Werner Neff was born in Zurich, Switzerland. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from Freie Universität Berlin and a master’s degree in economics from the Universität St. Gallen. His professional career included leadership positions in the hospitality industry before moving into banking, where he specialized in small business lending and mortgage finance for one of Switzerland's leading banks.

After retiring in 2010, Werner and his American wife relocated to the United States. Inspired by his lifelong interest in democratic institutions and public policy, he began a second career as an author and political economist.

His books explore the principles of democracy, constitutional government, civic responsibility, and economic policy from a non-partisan perspective. Drawing on his European background and his experience living in the United States, he seeks to encourage informed citizenship, ethical leadership, and constructive dialogue among Americans who care about preserving and strengthening their constitutional republic.

Werner lives in Colorado with his wife and enjoys classical music, hiking, and skiing in the Rocky Mountains while continuing his research and writing on American democracy.
