The first three books in the Holly Anna Paladin mystery series, plus a bonus Christmas novella, all for the low price of $6.99!
Random Acts of Murder: When Holly Anna Paladin is given a year to live, she embraces her final days doing what she loves most—random acts of kindness. But one of her extreme good deeds goes horribly wrong, implicating Holly in a string of murders. Holly is suddenly in a different kind of fight for her life.
Only two other people know Holly was at the site of the murder, and one of them is the killer. Making matters stickier is the fact that the detective assigned to the case is her old high school crush and present day nemesis.
The clock is ticking as Holly is forced to play a dangerous game. Will Holly find the killer before he ruins what’s left of her life? Or will she spend her final days alone and behind bars?
Random Acts of Deceit: "Break up with Chase Dexter, or I’ll kill him.”
Holly Anna Paladin never expected such a gut-wrenching ultimatum. But the man threatening her makes it clear he’s dead serious. With home invasions, hidden cameras, and bomb threats, Holly must make some serious choices.
Whatever Holly decides, the consequences will either break her heart or break her soul. She tries to match wits with the masked man, but he’s always a step ahead of her. The more she fights, the deeper she’s drawn into the perilous situation.
Dealing with the ultimatum, her sister’s wedding problems, and riots that have broken out in the city, Holly’s nearly at her breaking point. She must discover the identity of this mystery man before someone she loves dies. But the deceit is threatening to pull her under . . . six feet under.
Random Acts of Malice: When Holly Anna Paladin’s boyfriend, police detective Chase Dexter, says he’s leaving for two weeks and can’t give any details, she wants to trust him. But when she discovers Chase may be involved in some unwise and dangerous pursuits, she’s compelled to intervene.
Holly gets a run for her money as she’s swept into the world of horseracing. The stakes turn deadly when a dead body surfaces and suspicion is cast on Chase. At every turn, more trouble emerges, making Holly question what she holds true about her relationship and her future.
Just when she thinks she’s on the homestretch, a dark horse arises. Holly might lose everything in a nail-biting fight to the finish.
Random Acts of Scrooge: Christmas is supposed to be the most wonderful time of the year, but a real-life Scrooge is threatening to ruin the season’s good will.
Holly Anna Paladin can’t wait to celebrate Christmas with family and friends. She loves everything about the season—celebrating the birth of Jesus, singing carols, and baking Christmas treats, just to name a few. But when a local family needs help, how can she say no?
Holly’s community has come together to help raise funds to save the home of Greg and Babette Sullivan, but a Bah-Humburgler has snatched the canisters of cash. Holly and her boyfriend, police detective Chase Dexter, team up to catch the Christmas crook.
Will they succeed in collecting enough cash to cover the Sullivans’ overdue bills? Or will someone succeed in ruining Christmas for all those involved?
Christy Barritt is an author, freelance writer and speaker who lives in Virginia. She’s married to her Prince Charming, a man who thinks she’s hilarious—but only when she’s not trying to be. Christy’s a self-proclaimed klutz, an avid music lover who’s known for spontaneously bursting into song, and a road trip aficionado. She’s only won one contest in her life—and her prize was kissing a pig (okay, okay… actually she did win the Daphne du Maurier Award for Excellence in Suspense and Mystery also). Her current claim to fame is showing off her mother, who looks just like former First Lady Barbara Bush When she’s not working or spending time with her family, she enjoys singing, playing the guitar, and exploring small, unsuspecting towns where people have no idea how accident prone she is.
Holly Anna Paladin what will you think of next? Love the intrigue suspense and what's around the corner. I recommend this series to anyone that loves and loved "Murder She Wrote" keeps you reading. Love it!😊
I love the characters in these books. They are quirky and very interesting. Needless to say Holly is original and does get in some trouble but these are just the stories one reads when you life is going through some a rough patch. Thanks for the journey.
So much fun to read this series of Christy Barritt! Full of mystery, with some twists and turns, some romance and some faith! Got to work on those trust issues, though.
Book 1 Random Acts of Murder is a spinoff of the Squeaky Clean Mysteries. You Meet Holly Anna in one of the later of the books I can't remember which one. Holly Anna is diagnosed with a disease that has only given her a year to live and she decides that she wants to full fill the rest of her life helping others. Never does she imagine that it will lead to trouble for her. I had already grown to love Holly Anna from the Squeaky Clean mysteries. It was so hard to watch her go through the troubles she faces just by doing something nice for someone else. Because she is the sweetest person ever. This book will leave you praying things will work out for her in the end. It is a roller coaster ride of emotions and the ending is just what you hope for! I don't think you have to read the squeaky clean mysteries first though I was glad I did. If you haven't read them yet and you loved this book then I suggest you start them now :) They were awesome and even my 13 year old who hated to read read the first 6 in a month!
BOOK 2 I loved Holly Anna in the first book, and after reading the second one, I love her even more. She is totally someone I would want to be friends with. I loved this book. It was full of action and excitement. Holly Anna seems to find herself in trouble like Gabby from the Squeaky Clean Series. It got me thinking maybe there will be a lot more books in this series and I like that idea! Holly is forced to make some really tough decisions and has to face them alone. It shows her true strength and her love for Chase! After all she went through in the first book it was tough to see her go thru so much again but she was strong and persevered and I was glad she got a happy ending!
BOOK 3 I loved this book! It was full of suspense and I love Holly's sweet innocent nature and how it was tested in so many ways. She was still able to stay true to herself even when in difficult situations. This book will have you guessing until the end! My favorite paragraph of the book, “I wish I had some answers for you. I only know that life’s hard. We all experience that in one way or another eventually. Some people learn that lesson earlier in life, and others not until later. It’s not fair. It’s not easy. It doesn’t make a lot of sense. I guess we really have no choice but to deal with it, though. You know?” This is such a great life lesson for us all. I know it has defiantly been mine. I loved it!
BOOK 4 I loved this book and I love the Holly Anna series. This one was full of twists which I like because if it was super predictable it wouldn't be fun to read. Holly makes some tough decisions in this book. It is time for her to take some bigger steps in life. I am excited to see how she handles the changes in the next one!
What an enjoyable and relatable heroine! You will think or wish you were Holly Anna's friend. She's kind, generous, witty and a compassionate social worker. After hours, mostly, she stumbles upon shady events which lead to her amateur crime-solving. She and her best friend are reminiscent of Lucy and Ethel complete with the fashion choices of Holly Anna. I've never met a Christy Barritt book I didn't like.
