Yes! This is what Superman is supposed to be. Tomasi's Superman is a hero who is very uplifting and embodies hope and optimism. If somebody asks me who Superman is now (in DC Rebirth) I'd give them this issue with a smile.

The family angle of Rebirth Superman works so effectively that their voices ring true happiness in my heart. The Super family is a joy to see. These warm touches, especially at the last pages of the issue is comics sincerity at its finest.

I love how Superman #7 is self-aware of Batman's absurdity. Here, we see Supes' "optimistic brooding" over the city of Metropolis.

I highly recommend this issue my friends. You'd definitely cherish reading it.

Definitely enjoyed this one a lot more! It's back to the family feel with Clark, Lois and Jon. They go to the Hamilton County Fair and Clark promises not to do anything super.

There's not a lot that goes on here. It's more of showing how the "Smiths" live their lives. Jon's absolutely adorable! Clark stops a small level crime and tries to hide it from Lois. It's all very cute and domestic and I loved it! I love seeing what superheroes are like when they're not fighting villains.

Also, loved the bit where Clark helps out with the other heroes and everyone says thank you except Batman. That was funny :)

This was a really great issue! I'm honestly suprised at how much I'm enjoying this run; I've always been more of a Batman person. Anyway, this was probably my favorite issue this week.

Am I getting older? I seem to enjoy more the issues with the heroes on their down time.

This. All of it. Just keep doing this.

CHARACTER! Show me a decent character story from time to time and you'll keep me reading.

Show me an ADORABLE character story that ends in what has to be as close to a perfect final panel ever and I'll start advertising for you....

A great family story, but it would be better if it didn't have a cliffhanger ending.

Love this comic so much, Not much action but the characters and story is so amazing. Not to think of the graphic cause that is superb. It also has lots of hilarious parts that got me laughing so hard.

Other than the Rebirth one shot, this may be the best single issue of Rebirth, and the best thing is, it's not even action packed at all (in fact, this is great, it gives a much-needed break after an action-packed arc), it's just Superfam going on a carnival on an ordinary night. The writing is perfect, very character-driven and definitely sticking to the characteristics of all the three main characters, while showing us a side of Superman that we don't get to see often, Clark Kent, the father and husband. And Jorge Jimenez's art is just so on point, the way he draws Jon is definitely my favorite out of all the interpretations. Overall, 99/10

'Superman #7' shows another side of Superman. We know he is a superhero and a husband and father, but in this issue, he gets to take a day off from being a superhero and spend it with those he loves.

After the battles of the past few issues with Eradicator and Doomsday, Superman gets to catch his breath. And what better way to do that than a day at the fair? While the tug of being a hero can be strong, this is a day that his family needs. It's a story of family and getting the priorities right, at least for now. Can Superman have a day at peace or will duty call?

I really liked this story. The look in Jon's eyes as he looks at his dad are really great. It could have been a fluff story, but instead, at least for me, it comes across as a strong family story. It's a good way to finish the first story arc of this series and set things up going forward.

I received a review copy of this issue from DC Entertainment and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this comic book.

I read the comment of others reviewers and can't help myself to think, yeah great family story, but that's not what I'm paying for and wanting when I bought this Superman issues. Not action at all, just Clark living out with his family... Strange!

Yeah okay this was pretty damned cute. It also has a smidge of Bats being a typical jerkface. Good times!

I cannot take the cutness of all these issues. For me, there was something in this one, particularly, that made my heart melt. Beautifully written and illustrated. Can't wait to see what comes next!

WHAT A GOOD ISSUE. This was adorable, I love seeing heroes be people too, and this issue was perfect. It was a fun little standalone story with lots of heart. Incredible!

I would read 500+ issues just like this one. Heartwarming and fun. Felt a bit like Smallville. And Lois' expressions on the rollercoaster!

A good 'Day in the life' of Superman's family. Not a story of him being Super. Just of him being a husband and dad.

Superman does his regular rounds around Metropolis to make sure his city is safe. When he finishes that, he goes to help his Justice League friends & they are all grateful except Batman, of course.

I do not know why Superman just does not defeat all the criminals everywhere, but I guess he needs to have a life as well.

After his day of saving people, Lois, his son & him decide to go to the fair (...father-son in there cute "nerdy" classes). He promises no Superman business, but I mean he is Superman after all so he has to end up saving people. It was cute seeing Lois's reaction when she heard on the microphone that he was "Supermaning".

Also, Jon sees his friend, Kathy at the fair because her grandpa or dad entered some cow contest. Her grandpa/dad was introducing the Smiths to a doctor, who he told about Jon's fall. Like Clark, I do no like it.

I loved this issue so much because I love seeing Clark with his family. It makes my heart swell with joy. I am sad that he is a Smith instead of a Kent. Once he is always Superman... that is all that counts.

That was brilliant .

As a issue if you are looking for a long arc or something than sorry this will disappoint you but if you want entertainment than do pick it up as a pure jolly and sometime campy issue that makes you grin and enjoy the issue thoroughly by remembering of the old days of superman .

Superman takes his family to a fair and promises to enjoy the fair fully with the family and not take up the superhero duty and yet he finds out there’s trouble nearby .

Granted this issue didn’t follow up with the end of the first arc in Superman and it didn’t do much in terms of progressing the Superman story but it was as I said before reminiscent of the old days of Superman , Back when he was the Man of Steel and managed to face every villain around and then after he is done always have a smile on his face .

Back to the old days was the goal of Rebirth and Superman titles has never felt like being back to those days before this issue

This was charming if pointless. Still not feeling this version of the characters and their bizarre commitment to not caring about other people. Still, it's nice to see them branching out in the smallest of ways here.

Un respiro para estar con la familia en este numero y es parte de lo que mas me gusta de esta serie de Superman, la familia. No siempre hay que estar salvando el mundo.

Great family story

I really enjoyed this. Even Superman needs some time off. That is exactly what does in this story by taking some downtime with his family.
