Shevaun DeLucia lives in upstate New York with her husband, and two boys while also enjoying spending time with her two grown children who have already left the nest. As a stay-at-home mom while her children were young, she fell in love with reading. She indulged in the small moments that took her away from the reality of her loud, overly rambunctious household, bringing her into a world of fantasy. When reading wasn’t enough to satisfy her, she turned to writing, determined to create the perfect ending of her own.

Jayded is a great story. It's told in both Max and Kyle's POVs. I loved the fact that we get to see what both of them were thinking.

Kyle is a ladies man. He not one those cocky ladies man were it take you a while to like them. Kyle is a very likable character right from the beginning. He works at his parents' company Saunders Literary Agency. His older brother Junior works there too.

Max was ready to get married to her fiance. She breaks it off and heads to New York. She interviews to become a partner at Saunders Literary Agency. Max is a very strong character. She is not looking for love. Her and Kyle's paths cross and they are both attracted to each other.

There is a lot of sexual tension between the two at first. After they get past the sexual tension there is some promise for a great relationship. Things are not easy for them, they work together, Max has an ex that's not ready to let her go, and Kyle has a clingy ex that still wants more, all those make for an interesting story.

This Book Was Given To Me By The Author In Exchange For An Honest Review

This was a amazing story. Shevaun Delucia is a incredible storyteller and knows how to bring the sizzle into any story! Right from page one Shevaun's creative and intriguing characters kept me captivated until the very end.

I loved Max and Kyle's chemistry, they feel as if they are coming up off the page to act out the scenes for you. It is so real and raw and Shevaun leaves no stone unturned when it comes to the twists and turns of romance in this one. All those who read it will feel the burn of the secrets, lies, love and heartbreak.

Shevaun Delucia is a wonderful writer who brings so much realism and raw feeling into her story that you can't help but feel as if you are there with her characters every step of the way. Don't miss out on your chance to read her newest masterpiece!

Kyle Saunders is nothing more than a playboy. He is 24 years old and in his prime. Well, in walks Maxine "Max" Daniels. A 33 year old business woman. She is getting away from her South Carolina roots and sparks begin to fly between her & Kyle. They decide to have the friends with benefits relationship since they work together. Can this lead to more? Will it get messy? Not to mention they both have "stalkers" following them around. Only time will tell in this "complicated" but "hopeful" love story called "Jayded."

From the beginning I really bonded with Max. She knew exactly what she wanted and built her business from the ground up. A merger with a larger company was a great opportunity. Plus, she gets to move to Rochester, New York. A long ways away from her South Carolina upbringing. Max has secrets as all women do. Things she isn't willing to let anyone in to see. That is until she meets Kyle. Things she begins to tell come a little more easy for her as time passes between them. But, she has a big issue with his age. Will Max let Kyle's age hinder her happiness or will she say the (H E DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS) with it?

Kyle is always out to prove himself to his Dad & older brother Junior. Kyle's mom sees how hard he works but the other family members think of him as a screw up. Doesn't matter that he graduated with a Bachelors & went on for a Masters Degree. He will always be a "self entitled" kid to Dad and a "spoiled brat" to big brother. Junior has his issues with Kyle and is always butting his nose in where is doesn't belong. His dad seems to always feel the need to micromanage everything. I kind of giggled at some of the conversations or squabbles they got into. LOL Kyle doesn't care about age when it comes to Max. What he wants is her honesty & why she runs away from things. Can she tell the truth or risk losing him forever?

Kinsey is Max's assistant and old college roommate. This girl I get a complete kick out of. She reminds me of a older version of Kinsey from Lost Girl. She is as straight laced as they come and has no problem tearing people a new ***hole. She would do anything for Max.

***5 STAR REVIEW***5 STAR REVIEW***

After ending her engagement to her fiancée, there wasn't a better time for Saunders Agency to make Max an offer she couldn’t refuse. Leaving behind her old house and her ex she jumps at the chance to go to New York to possibly partner up with the agency.

Kyle is the 24 year old son of the owners of the Saunders Agency, who he works for. He doesn't want to settle down anytime soon. Why would he when he can have any woman he wants. That is until he first sets his eyes on Max, she was everything he didn’t know he was wanting. Despite the 9 year age gap between them they both want to have a little 'fun' with each other.

Add in Max's ex who refuses to believe that they are over and a clingy, possessive ex fling who won't let Kyle go and watch the drama begin. Will Kyle and Max get the happy ever after that they don’t even want??

This is a brilliant book by a very talented author. I loved Max. She refused to let her past beat her down, despite having a rough childhood she never lets it get her down and didn't let it shape her future. She doesn’t take any crap from anyone and tells it how it is!

Kyle was so sweet!! For all he appears as a bit of a playboy that soon changed once he set his sights on Max. He refused to let her run and hide. I loved the fact that although Max is 9 years senior than him he doesn't let it bother him in the slightest, even though Max wasn't too keen on the age difference.
Although they both kept denying a relationship you could tell that they had feelings for each other..

I thought it was great that the book was split into both Max and Kyle's point of view, so you got both their thoughts and feelings instead of just being one sided.

This was definitely an interesting read with lust at first sight and quite a bit of steamy scenes. These two characters just clicked so easily that they formed a special bond with one another. The author did a good job of showing this relationship growing from their first meeting until the very end of the book.

We meet Maxine who is out to discover a new life, not happy with the one she was living. She’s very much a go getter and out to succeed in life, work is her life. So of course its convenient when she goes for a new job and finds someone from the office, a hot young someone named Kyle, who also happens to be the son of the owners who are about to be her partners. No, that does not promise any kind of drama at all … not! I think their main difference is their age, she’s much older than he is, but like the old saying goes ‘Age ain’t nothing but a number’.

You can definitely spot the differences though because Kyle reminded me of a stereotypical Bachelor from the city with an accent and a crassness that I reserve for my Jersey and New York boys, I know you know what I’m talking about. ‘How you doin?’ Anyway even with all of that he begins to grow on me, a softer side is shown as his feelings begin to develop for Maxine without him even realizing it.

I also really love the side story of his best friend, who is just like him but then begins to catch feelings for the quiet Elise, it’s cute. And let's not even get started on Maxine's assistant Kinsley who is a firecracker of a friend who goes straight to the point. She is entertainment all by herself. I can see a book all about her but the question is who would be the mystery guy because she doesn't seem to catch anyones eye or interest, hmmm makes you wonder. All the characters were great and I could only imagine what it's like working at their company. Although I could probably do without the stalker, you'll see who I'm talking about super creepy and delusional.

Overall it was a great read with a story line that is relate able and will keep you occupied from beginning to the very end, with lots of great saucy scenes in between. The ending will definitely keep you wondering where will the story take you. There's so many ways the story can continue but I hope to get a chance to read more about these characters.

Sweet, Sexy and Hot book to read.

Love comes unexpectedly between Kyle and Maxine. The desire for these two people is constant and undeniable. How can they resist their feelings for each other when they work at the same place. Kyle is 24 and one of the sons who owns the company that Maxine who is 33 years old become to join the company. Age is not a factor for these two. Love has no limit when you feel that strong connection to somebody who you just meet.

Jayded by Shevaun DeLucia is one amazing but hot book to read. This book is hard to put it down. The story is so beautiful. There is family conflict and above all there is love. I LOVED this book so much. I LOVED that one of the characters is my son's name. I also LOVED that setting is in Rochester which is not far from where I lived.

I highly recommend this book to everybody who is looking for a happily ever after book which makes you laugh, feels warm and fall in-love.

Jayded by Shevaun Delucia was such an awesome read. It tells an amazingly fun story of a May/December office relationship

Kyle was a wise for his years Alpha male with no intention of settling down until he meets the lovely Max. She set his heart and umm groin on fire from the moment they met and the attraction between them made for some hot and steamy moments.

I enjoyed the way Shevaun expressed his immediate possessiveness of Max. I nearly spit out my drink when she used the phrase "pee on my tree" in a certain section.

Max had her own possessive side as well, and it made for some nice dialogue between her and another not so nice female character.

In most office romances that I've read, the male lead was older than the female lead. That wasn't the case in this story. I liked it because it added another layer of complications that the couple needed to get over in the hopes of making it. Great read.

Next book in this series please

Jayded by Shevaun DeLucia

Independent reviewer for Paranormal Romance and Authors That Rock.
I was lucky enough to get a free copy of this book for an honest Review.

I thought the book was well written and I like it from the first page. I loved the story of Kyle and Maxine. Not only did it have loads of saucy scenes in it but it also had a storyline and romance. The only thing I was a little disappointed in was the ending I hoped for more it really felt like the author ran out of ideas for a ending or maybe there will be a second book so that you can find out what happens to both of them and also the other characters in the book like Jonathan, Junior Kinsey and of course what is happing with Elise and Jeff.
I am giving it a 4 star rating because of ending as it really missed something for me

4 Office Romance Stars

Maxine was looking for a change. She needed a change of scenery. A change of jobs. So when she decides to look into working for a larger family owned agency she's not sure what she will find. Does she want to work for someone else? Is this the right place to start over?

Kyle is the son of the agency owners. He is schmexy, partying man-ho. When he gets a look at Maxine, he knows she should be off limits, but he can't help himself.

Max and Kyle start a hot office romance that they know can't really go anywhere. I mean, come on....they have so many things stacked against them. Age difference. Work issues. His past that EVERYONE knows about. Her past no one knows about.

Kyle and Maxine are fun and oh so hot. This was my first book by Ms DeLucia. It won't be my last

I FRIGGING LOVE KYLE SAUNDERS!!!!!
Fear comes in all forms and for Kyle Commitment is his biggest fear. That is until he meets Maxine. She owns her own publishing company in South Carolina, but she wants to do better and maybe a bit bigger.
What Kyle ( a man-whore) and Max don't except is the electricity that comes when ever they are around each other. The start a friends with benefits type of relationship, HA!!! That is when their rollercoaster begins. And let me just say that their huge down dips are amazing.
What an amazing book this was

I loved this book. It is well written and developed. I fell in love with the characters. Kyle is 24 years old, works for his parents literacy agency and likes to play the field. Max is a 33 year old business woman who is considering merging her publishing company with the one Kyle's family owns. Max and Kyle are attracted at first sight but neither is looking for something serious. I highly recommend the book to romance lovers. There are quite a few steamy scenes.

Jayded: to be sexually pleasured to a point where all other lovers are inferior

This is the first book I've read by Shevaun, I appreciate her reaching out to me to review her book! When you first meet Maxine, she's getting out of relationship where she felt suffocated. She's ready to start over in a new place. I really liked Maxine, she has her head on straight and knows what she wants. She's a great example of what happens when you work hard and pursue your dreams. She has some baggage as most people do, but Max is a no nonsense women and won't let anyone or anything distract her. That is until she meets Kyle! Kyle is a ladies man, having fun, as he should. He's young, has a great job working at his parents agency and working his way up! Kyle is not your typical rich kid, he doesn't use the fact that his parents own the company he works for as an excuse to slack off. Shevaun takes readers on a very detailed outline of Max and Kyle's relationship which I really liked. I always say, I love it when authors take the time to set the stage for characters romance, it makes it easier for readers to get to know the characters and feel connected to them. Maxine and Kyle feel an instant attraction to each other. The more they keep away from each other, the more the attraction grows. What originally begins as lust, turns into something more organic. Max and Kyle have a lot to lose, their careers for one, and their hearts. As I was reading I wanted both of them to throw their inhibitions out the window. Their lust was so explosive and a little bit of forbidden, since Max is kind of his boss, and she's older. They learn that assumptions mean nothing when it comes to the heart. Max thinks that Kyle can't be serious about relationships because he's young, I felt like she used his age as an excuse, but Kyle surprises her in ways she didn't imagine. I really liked how mature Kyle was, yes, he's a bachelor, but he really knows what he wants. He owns up to his mistakes and doesn't get into a habit of making them again and again. The story does get a little rushed towards the end as Max and Kyle's relationship goes in a direction that I did not see coming! It was a great surprise and I was so happy in the end.

All in all, Jayded was a fun read! Readers will get caught up with Max, Kyle, the drama, the good times and bad. I found myself interested in two of the secondary characters Jeff and Elise, I hoping their story is next!

I gave Jayded 3.5 ⭐️

~~~~~~~~~~Kelli's ★★★★★ Review~~~~~~~~~~
Jayded was a fantastic book. I couldn't put it down. I would love to see follow up stories about other characters.
Kyle is your typical 24 yr old player. He works for his parents publishing company. Maxine comes along to join the company as a partner. Nine years his senior, she refuses at acknowledge the attraction she feels towards Kyle. Not to mention... Hello... Bosses son! But the attraction is way too much. They begin a something more than friends with benefits arrangement that neither of them want to label as a relationship. But soon they realize they aren't able to be away from each other. Max has some baggage from a previous relationship that she hasn't told Kyle about. When that blows up in their faces, things go south. Can they overcome the issues?
~~~~~~~~~~Sharlene's ★★★★✰ Review~~~~~~~~~~

Max and Kyle meet at work and though they fight it, they end up in a relationship. When I think about them, I think of sweet and hot. The way they interact with each other is so sweet and honest but the sex is so hot! This story IMO was pretty honest and true - with both parties not really knowing where they are or where they want to go. In my experience, that is how most people are nowadays. Even though I read to escape reality, I found this story refreshing. I really enjoyed the writing as it was easy to read and get into. The scenery descriptions were good. The characters were very well developed - even some of the secondary ones. I was left with some questions on the secondary characters though. Which leads me to believe maybe there will be another book with them in it? I definitely would be interested in reading more about this group of people.

This is a stand alone and does have an HEA.

So I'm reading the Forbidden Romance series backwards, but that is okay! I first was introduced to Shevaun when I read Nirvana. I got a glimpse of the characters that I have met. This is the first book in the series and I can see the why so many people liked it. It's a story about a new beginnings for one and another finds what he was looking for.

Maxine is trying to start over, she is moving to a new place and letting go of extra baggage. She recently merged her company with Saunders Literary Agency. Max is a woman who knows what she wants and how to get it! She works extremely hard at her job and will not anyone get in her way. Max has a lot of spirit and can be a little possessive.

Kyle is the son of owner of Saunders Literary Agency. He happens to work there as well as an agent. He is all alpha, ladies man. He loves to have a good time and enjoy life! But he also does not let it effect his work. Kyle is not ready to settle down or so he thinks.

Max and Kyle meet at work. They bicker and banter back and fourth! They end up going tearing apart each other to being friends with benefits. That only lasts so long because they are so possessive that they didn't want anyone to have the other. Their chemistry was insanely hot. Max is older is than Kyle and that begins to play a role in their relationship.

Can Max overlook that she is older than Kyle? Does Kyle make Max realize he is in it for the long haul? Will Max have her happy ending with Kyle?

This book was a great read! I could not put it down! I highly recommend reading the entire series! Great Job Shevaun!

I hate what Max went through growing up, I am just glad she had her brothers there for her. Kyle is your typical 24 year old bachelor, and loving his life. Max knocks him completely off his feet. Love does not know age, so age should not matter. The chemistry between these two is off the charts, and let me tell you it is hot. I am really happy with the way the book ended, who would have known. You will not be sorry for one clicking this book.

This was my first book by DeLucia. Kyle and Maxine meet through work when her business merges with his family's & they begin a hot office romance which they keep hidden from everyone mainly because of their difference in age. They are really cute together & have some great chemistry. Although the ending felt a little rushed to me it was a enjoyable read.
