Mom of two rockin' girls, Reader of everything, Author of The Dragon Guards series and many more surprises to come!

I am a sarcastic, sometimes foul-mouthed, not afraid to drink a beer, always southern woman with 2 of the most amazing teenage daughters,
a menagerie of animals and a voracious appetite for reading who recently decided to write the storied running through her brain. I read my first book, Dr Suess' Cat in The Hat by myself at 4 and was hooked.
I believe a good book along with shoes, makeup and purses will never let a girl down and that all heroes of all the books
I have ever read or will ever write pale in comparison to my daddy! I am a sucker for a happy ending and love some hot sweaty sex with a healthy dose of romance.
I am still working on my story but believe it will contain all of the above with as much SPICE as I can work into it. CHEERS!

A little vengeance plot cooked up by the god of war, Ares, leads to Juliette detailing her surprising past. Achille's impatient, yet utterly charming self had already won me over in previous books, and it was nice to see his character stay consistent here. Having all the Kings jump into action to help one of their own achieve his HEA was just icing on the cake!

I really enjoyed Achilles and Juliette's story! There's more action and conversation happening and I liked the story flow a lot better than the first two books. Now I'm anxious to see what secrets the philosopher Bain has been hiding from the other Kings!

Reading the Kings of the Blood box set which includes books one through three is a fascinating and wonderfully thrilling experience.
First, this is my first time reading any of the Kings of the Blood books and I was completely fascinated with the world and Julia Mills’ intriguing concept of vampires but not yet really vampires, which I finally decided are immortal warriors with vampire like qualities, anyway the whole working for the gods notion worked really well too and made these delightful characters unique and special. The stories are well written and each character is strong, captivating and well developed which made it easy to connect to them and to become enthralled in the stories. Each story has a wonderfully sweet and entertaining romance, blazing hot passion and sizzling chemistry which includes explicit sexual material. The fast paced plots are full of thrilling action and suspense, including some violent content.

Now for Viktor: Heart of a King; Viktor and his soul mate have some really explosive chemistry and the story is full of suspense which keeps readers enthralled until the very end.

Next we have Roman: Fury of Her King; Roman and his soul mate have a bit more action in their romance because they dance around each other a bit. The fast paced plot includes some thrilling action and suspense when Roman is betrayed which keeps readers on the edge of their seat.

And finally we have Achilles: Soul of Her King; this story mixes things up quite a bit by with rule breaking and secrets with the fast paced plot including thrilling danger and excitement from a very powerful enemy.

I can only wish that these stories were bit longer and the stories a bit more fleshed out but I really enjoyed them and the fascinating world that Julia Mills has created, so I am looking forward to Bain’s book which will hopefully be released soon.

Love bed Achilles( Lee) and Juliette’s story !! Talk about interference from the Gods !! Area makes it his life’s work to make Juliette suffer, and if he can kill off his brother Zeus’ Kong’s of the Blood while he’s at it ..... more happiness for him !! But Lee and the other Kings have a 3 card Monte game up their sleeves to fool the God of War and Juliette will be the bait !! 5⭐️‘s for an intriguing, fast paced read that keeps you guessing until the very end !!

Soooooo much better than book 2! I really liked Juliette and I think she’s a great complement to Lee, who is my favorite King so far.

This is an OK vampire romance, but I did have a few issues with it. It gets 3 stars from me. It is a totally different, and very interesting, take on vampires -- so I have to give Julia Mills big points on creativity.

In this story/series, the "kings of the blood" were created by the Greek god Zeus, and only periodically take enough blood to sustain them -- never killing any of their donors. They are basically immortal soldiers created by Zeus, and their main goal is eradicating evil. Each of the kings has one fated mate, and they know when that person is born, but cannot contact them. They have to wait until their mate finds them on their own. If their mate doesn't find them before they reach 3,000 years old, they will die. I thought this was interesting, but also a bit creepy that Achilles knew so much about Juliet, and could basically watch her whenever he wanted -- seemed kind of stalkerish to me.

There was quite a bit of violence in this story, a bit more than I like. I get that Achilles and the other kings were warriors for Zeus, but I would have preferred for the violence to be a little less descriptive. Maybe just tell us they killed someone, but don't describe it? I also would have liked more information on why Ares was so determined to kill Juliet -- that was never really explained.

I liked Achilles, and loved that Juliet was the most important person in his world. It was sweet how he was willing to do anything to protect her. I also liked the addition of Juliet being "special", but I won't give spoilers as to what was special about her.

I will probably read the rest of the series when it is published, since I think Julia's take on vampires is so interesting. I doubt that I would read the other books, though, if they weren't available for free with Kindle Unlimited.

My rating system is below.
1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it.
2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws.
3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating.
4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one.
5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.

If you're looking for something deliciously dufferent, look no more, the Kings are here! In fact Achilles is the third King so far. Each story is a stand alone but the first two Kings are truly worth meeting.... Here's the skinny on on Achilles. The Kings are a kind of vampire. Yes, they are immortal and need blood to live, but just a very small amount and not that often. The God's are responisble for their existence which includes finding their mate before their third millennia or they will die the final death...BUT... they can not approach their mate. They must wait until she is drawn to him and comes to him.... Juliette is Achilles intended mate and there is a little, no,........ something big is different about Juliette.
I absolutely adore both of these characters. Achilles, well he is all about protecting Juliette, but she is a strong, snarky woman in her own right. They are well matched and together they are going to take care of some rather evil business. But it's not all business, have no fear.... there is plenty of delicious hot romance happening.... I do recommend this to 18+ who like their loving with a side of adventure

This book covers the story of how the King Achilles and his soul-mate Juliette join with the rest of the kings to thwart the vindictive God Ares and bond so they can both live in eternal happiness.

I loved this story and the ending of it. There were plenty of twists and turns, but at the end of the day the kings know they can rely on each other and their mates to be a united family. I loved the way Achilles (Lee) was his normal alpha male self, and that his mate was not a weak willed woman and was a force to complement him. You don't have to read the previous books in the series to read this although it will help to have a little more of the background.

** Please note this book contains adult content including some sex.

Achilles has always been the one to break the rules when it came to his group of Kings of the Blood. Juliette has always known what she was and what was expected of her in the future. Someone from her family is determined to ruin them. Will Achilles be able to rescue her in time? Will Juliette finally be ready for the love of her mate?

I loved how both of these characters were supernatural. I loved how Achilles was a half cocked guy and was determined to get things done even if it meant winging it. I loved how Juliette was intelligent and already knew what he was so she was able to work with him towards their goal. Great read and cannot wait for more in this series!

Demi-god destined to be kinged

The third book in the series mixes more Greek mythology than the others in the series. In fact, it is the most interesting part of the story for me. Unfortunately, the author falls short. The grand confrontation feels like a fumble. This story does have the seven kings together to join forces against the threat to their brother, Archilles.

Achilles

I love this series.
I have been checking the author website information, and Amazon for further books in this collection. I do hope we will continue the series through all the other King's.
I have almost read all the current books of this author, and have thoroughly enjoyed each and every one.

I was looking forward to Achilles story and wasn't disappointed at all.

My Favorite one so far.

Although I throughly enjoyed Victor and Romans stories, I absolutely fell in love with Lee, I had a feeling his story would be awesome and so it was. I look forward to the next one!

REVIEW
Julia MillsI have enjoyed the books thus far in this series and Achilles well let me say the author gave us so much more in his story.

We get Achilles aka Lee's story and how and when he finds his mate but what he doesn't understand is his mate Juliette some how can mind speak with him and they haven't even touched yet. Well if you have read the previous books in this series then you know The Gods are always up to something and this book is no different however it's Juliette's family that is out to ruin this couples happily ever after. Fantastic story and I love that the author gives so much back story on these two.

Sweet and interesting! I definitely recommend reading the first 2 books before reading this one because although it is about a different couple then the other 2 books, there are connecting characters and connecting events, which means there are some spoilers for the previous books in this book. Achilles is part of a group of immortals, who do drink blood, but they aren't called vampires, they are called Kings, and the Gods are responsible for their existence. Each of these Kings needs to find his intended mate before 3 millennia, or they will die for good, but the Kings aren't allowed to approach their mates until their mates make the first connection. Achilles has been keeping an eye on his mate, but has kept his distance, so he doesn't break the rules, and finally his mate has connected with him, but she is trapped, so Achilles needs to find a way to save her. On top of his mate, Juliette, being trapped, a vengeful God is out to make Achilles and Juliette's mating difficult. Achilles is adorably sweet and manly, so he is just wonderful! I also liked Juliette, she is strong and I like her independence, and I like how on board she is with the mating. The one thing I didn't really get is why it took her so long to approach Achilles. I also liked the other characters, and look forward to reading their books! The story is entertaining, and I liked the history of the characters. I did enjoy the flashbacks, but I think they did slow the story down a bit, so maybe a little bit less of those would have been good. I also would have liked more time with Achilles and Juliette, but that's just me loving the romance! They are really sweet together, and I love how protective Achilles is of Juliette, and they do have some very steamy times! I really enjoy Julia Mills' writing, so I will definitely be checking out more of her books!

I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

This was a fast paced 3rd Kings of the Blood series. Juliette knows about The Kings of Blood already. She comes from Gods and Goddesses. She’s sweet and determined to make it through and get her man! Achilles has knows where Juliette has been since she was born. He’s been stalkerish ever since. Their bond forms so quickly, more so than the others that its making everyone scratch their heads! All the Kings have to put their heads together to save Juliette and Achilles. Otherwise, her Uncle Ares….bastard that he is will win and kill Juliette through trickery. Will they succeed or will Achilles and Juliette be doomed?!

OMG…I loved this book! This is SUCH an awesome series and if you haven’t read it your so losing out! I cant wait to read more into these books! They are very different and they are NOT vampires! Something more and very cool!

Achilles: Soul of Her King by Julia Mills.
4 out of 5 stars.
Achilles has found the woman who is to be "The Keeper of His Heart" and has already inexplicably established a connection with her. He's tracked her down and kept tabs on her to make sure she is alright until the time that she comes to him. He knows she's a bit of an adventurer but what he wasn't expecting was for her to mentally call him for help when the archeological dig she's on has a cave-in and the tunnel collapses on top of her.
Juliette has known who Achilles is all her life. There are things about her that she needs to tell him too, as she's not just any human female, but right now all she can do is call Achilles and hope that he reaches her before all is lost.
I would recommend this book to all interested in fantasy, vampire-like immortals, and Ancient Gods.

This is the third book in the Kings of the Blood series. They are stand alones, so you don’t have to read them in order. I recommend that you do read them all. It’s a great series. Just like in the previous books, we get how and why Achilles was made a King.

They are like vampires in that they have to have blood. But it’s not often. And it’s never more than they need.

They are protectors.

Achilles, or Lee, is the Archer.

Juliette is his mate. She is different though. I’m not going to go into details though. I don’t want to give anything away.

We do get to see Ares, The God of War. He is a douchebag.

I do want to know how his “trip” went! I don’t think this is the last we will see of him.

This is a great series.

I loved this book!! I loved the first two int he series as well, but I think Achilles is my favorite King so far. Julia has a way of drawing you into her worlds and making them seem so real and it is easy to get lost in them.

Achilles has known about his mate since the day she was born, what he doesn't know is she has known about him even longer, and she know what and who he is. When she calls to him through their bond, he doesn't think about how she can do it, only that she needs him! He drops everything to go to her, only to get bound to a vindictive God with her. Can Achilles save his one true love and unbind himself to the God??

I recommend this book and any other you can find by Julia!! You will not be sorry at all!!!

I am a HUGE fan of Julia Mills. I have read everything she's written and was privileged to have received an ARC of Achilles: Soul of her King in exchange for an honest review. I don't usually wax effusive, but I can say with no equivocation that this is her best work so far. I can just tell she threw herself into this work, body, mind and soul. The depth of emotion just in the prologue is worth the price of this book. While it can be read as a standalone, the experience will be so much more meaningful if you read the first two installments, Viktor and Roman. Get it, get it get it!

Achilles

As a advert reader I am enjoying the, 'King of Blood series'. Different than other fantasy novels as far as finding their mates. But, Julia Mills storytelling is on the money. Where she draws the readers in at the prologue with a synapses of each blood king previous lives and than bring you to the present day. I find this novel to be very mild storyline not a lot of drama or build up of emotional chapters. The chapter's have a tendency to plot along like a slow moving horse. Knowing the Kings will get the girl at the end without a whole lot of turmoil.
