Sitting in the stands watching your favorite baseball team play is a high that dives off the diamond straight to you as the energy engulfs the air. The fans are engaged and intently watching the players with baseball greats in tight pants an added bonus. Adrenaline courses through your veins as you hope your team wins. You can’t help but feel alive. Fastball, the new baseball book from A.M. Hargrove and Terri Laine, made me feel alive and oh did I love this rush of a romance!
Fastball began with a blast of heat—a bang to my body—that had my body clenching and my heart racing after just three pages. I was captivated. I was claimed. I was caught. This Fastball swiftly shot me with a dual dose of desire and delight—emotions emerging like a ball knocked out of the park—where every ounce of me was engaged. I WAS ALL IN AND IT WAS AMAZING!!!
Beautiful Gina Ferraro is independent, a bada$$, a bit crass, rides a Harley, and doesn’t do relationships. She is a no-strings-kind-of-gal. When she needs a man, it’s a bang-and-bolt deal. Except one hot night she banged the panty-melting pitcher for the Carolina Cougars, Ryder Wilde, and then bolted. She doesn’t want to still want Ryder but she does.

4.5 "FAST BALL" STARS!!!

Hot.Damn.This.Book!!! It is actually my first read of this collaboration and reading a line from the blurb, "A gorgeous guy walks into a bar and says to me, “Do you want to F#ck?” and damn if I don’t say yes." ...I caved in and I couldn't let it pass. My interest was piqued and I know right there and then, FAST BALL...COUNT ME IN!!!
A.M Hargrove and Terri E. Laine's next installment is Gina and Ryder's story. I might not have read the first installment but I feel like I know them all. That's just to say that I felt a connection not just with the leads but with the previous character's as well. I enjoyed every moment I have with the book. Once I started reading, I was hooked because I just love how it was written. The story telling is vivid and the tone just gave a heightened emotion and leave more substance to my reading experience.
The journey I have with Gina and Ryder is one of the best ride I have. I admit at times I really wanted to smack some sense to this woman as much as I love her character. The push and pull she had with Ryder is annoying but once you get to know the real story you will really understand why she felt that way. But man I love her guts and her dirty and filthy ways. I love that she knows what she wants and she owned it in her own ways. I love her dirty mouth and I love her really that way.

See, and she loved it dirty. Goodbye vanilla!!! ;) And to tell you she's just as much as filthy as Ryder.

Ryder.. Oh man... he's a living wet dream!!! I love his character portrayal just as much as I love Gina's. He's filthy and dirty but oh boy he's sweet and swoony too. More than his playboy ways and Gina's fear of commitment, these two together is just as explosive as an earth shattering, toe curling and mind numbing orgasm!!!
I truly enjoyed reading the book. It is scorching and panty melting with just first few pages so just think how it will be for the next chapters??? It is mouth watering sexy and dirty and is just my cup of tea. It is written well and pacing is slightly not consistent for several pages but is just negligible because of the content. It is a quick fast read but full of emotions. Indeed an excellent work of a collaboration.

One of my fastest read because the story is so engaging and oh so hot scene won't let you down. Ryder is one baseball player you'd like to meet, sexy, thoughtful, and willing to learn beyond vanilla style *wink* [warning:you need to fan yourself every now and then]. Gina is afraid to give her heart to any man, been hurt before that's why she's not into commitment, but can she ignore Ryder when all he wants is her happiness and willing to do some kinky sexy scene? I love how the story progress...the pace moving smoothly...the collaboration between these authors are just perfect! Kudos A.M. Hargrove & Terri E. Laine for another hot and well written story!!! Looking forward to the next Wilde adventure!!!

I liked the idea of this book more than the book itself. Strong badass heroine, who acts as a man – I really liked the concept, but the heroine’s character was a bit “overachieved”. Some of her actions/decisions were slightly weird. IMO.
The hero was OK. Former “light” manwhore (as he was described by his sister/friends), as for me I saw him more as a caring smitten man. He chased the h, and I liked it! *shy smile*.
I appreciated that the h was more experienced and kinkier than the H – refreshing new approach in the romance world! *lol*
I liked how the H shamed his teammate who cheated on his wife.
Overall: too much things happened in this book so I couldn’t keep up sometimes.

I enjoyed this book overall. However, I did find it a little difficult to connect with Gina. She was a little hard to engage with, the way she kept pushing Ryder away, and then bringing him in again. I was a lot more able to connect with Ryder, and I think at times I was frustrated with Gina as I could tell Ryder was sincere, but she was struggling. I do think the back and forth of the relationship made it a little harder for me to fully connect with it and with them.
I thought there were issues with Gina and her past that possibly were not fully addressed and explored. I felt like they were the reason she pushed Ryder away, but that they may not have been entirely resolved. I felt Ryder was 100% engaged in the relationship, where she remained about 95% involved with them as a couple.
The scene, without being too spoilery after their first sexual encounter was really heartfelt and emotional. But at other times, I thought the dialog was a little uneven, which messed with the pacing for me.
I do recommend this overall, but do feel that there were issues with the pacing that kept me from being able to totally engage with the story and the characters.

What a pleasant surprise!! I mean, I know that Terri E. Laine and A.M. Hargrove are amazing writers and I loved all their previous works that I’ve read so far but I was still surprised at how much I loved this short read! It was so hot!!! I love me some Wilde boy =P
This is the second book in the Wilde Players Dirty Romance Series and even though you don't have to have read the first book since they are both standalones, the characters are friends and take part in both books so if you want to read this series I would suggest you to read it in the correct order.
The Story:
Gina was abandoned by her own mother when she was a baby and her father never really cared for her. That's why she never gets too close to people to keep from getting hurt. One-Night-Stands and bad boys are what she's seeking and nothing more.
Ryder Wilde doesn't get scared away by her attitude and keeps coming back to her even though she is a hard nut to crack. He's too vanilla for her liking and she believes they aren't compatible though he is determined to try and show her how well they fit together.
Who will be right? Gina in thinking of them as being not compatible or Ryder in believing of them being the perfect fit?
Gina is used to running away but will he keep chasing her? For how long until he’ll give up? Is her sex lifestyle something he’s really sure to try and can he give her what she craves for?
Thoughts:
I’ve read the first book and liked it a lot but this one I absolutely loved!! What a hot sizzling read - especially the first part of the book - and her family’s story was so touching!
The steamy parts were sexy as hell and it felt like all the best parts of a full length novel were put into this shortish, quick read. It’s almost like watching your favorite romance movie in fast forward. I didn’t really connect with Gina’s character but I absolutely loved Ryders. I enjoyed how Ryder never gave up and was determined to have her and show her that she's worthy of love. Everybody needs a person like him in his life.
If this doesn't turn you on then I have no idea what does. Hawt baseball guy meets sexy siren with claws! Ready, set, go! Read!! =P

Another KU find. The heroine, Gina, was a hard character to like. She pushed people away to prevent herself from being hurt, but she came off as being mean rather than someone building a wall around herself.
Ryder was a likable hero, but he was a little too much of a doormat to Gina. He constantly let her get away with treating him poorly. I wanted him to stand up to her and lay it all on the line, but he never did it. Even when she took "a break", he was right there to sweep her up as if it had been hours since they last saw each other and not weeks.
A decent read, but I would have like to see the characters develop a bit more and for the relationship with Ryder and Gina develop a bit more outside the bedroom.

Not my thing! I hated Gina! She was plain stupid! And Ryder was always like 'I'm so finished with her! Wow!! Fastball started off with a bang, literally, and boy did it take me for a ride. This has to be my favourite of the series so far, I freakin' loved it!!
Fastball is a real page-turner, the plot was fast paced and kept me hooked from the start. It had me laughing out loud so many times, fuming and shouting at Ryder's agent (no spoilers) and fanning myself from the oh-so-hot, steamy scenes! There was a rather touching scene that gave me goosebumps and left me with tears in my eyes.
I loved Gina, she was such a strong woman, she'd had to be growing up practically on her own but yet she was soft and fragile on the inside when you looked closer. She certainly met her match with Ryder. Maaan, they made the Fourth of July look tame with their fireworks between the sheets, in the bathroom. Anywhere!
Ryder, what can I say about that hot, sexy pitcher other than...he is so mine with his dirty mouth and even dirtier moves, just sayin'.
Another awesome success from the pens of the dynamic writing duo Hargrove & Laine, this series just gets better & better. Bring on book three..quick!!

I love sport romances and this one is awesome. Ryder is a very talented pitcher and could have any woman he wants but Gina has caught his eye, especially after a night that he can't stop thinking about, but convincing Gina that there is more than just sex between will be hard, but he's willing to go out of his comfort zone to try. Gina isn't into relationships right now, her sexual taste is a little beyond vanilla and even though she can't stop thinking about Ryder she already knows it want work, he's too vanilla but when she notices him stepping out of his zone she falls harder but can it work, with other people against them, can she have the one thing she never knew she really wanted? loved it. great characters.

I really loved Sidelined and was looking forward to Fastball. It did not disappoint! This is Ryder and Gina's story and it was hot!!! In kind of a twist from the norm, Gina was the one who did everything she could to avoid falling for Ryder and put the brakes on their budding relationship. The chemistry between these two was off the charts and the sex scenes were on fire! This is an excellent author combination! These ladies know how to write fabulous and steamy books! I loved it!!

I started this a little confused it was like I missed some chapters because there was no intro as such and it was like the reader is expected to know who is who, I couldnt understand the synopsis at first? the book starts at a baseball match obviously the characters first encounter is in a previous book & I wasn't aware it was a series. Gina is a woman with backbone normally you would expect the man to be into kink and sex clubs but in Fastball it's Gina who holds all the cards and likes the control, she is the kind of woman who has always put up barriers and never enters relationships.
Ryder is a star baseball player the plot doesn't focus on this as it mainly focuses on Gina and Ryder's relationship. Ryder is on a mission and isn't giving up on Gina and gradually starts to chip at her walls.
A plot told in dual pov's with great main characters and extended characters. Other characters include Ryders sister Riley, Gina's best friends Cassidy and Mark.
A hot read, great chemistry with a bit of angst and does lead to a well deserved hea for Gina and Ryder.
Good read, I would read other books from the other characters.

Fastball was a fast paced scorching hot story that I read in one sitting because it's that captivating. This is a 4 star story.

Gina was first introduced in the first story Sidelined. Ryder is really attracted to her but she strings him along. She stated he is not to her likings and compatible with her. Ryder is out to prove her wrong.
They have a lot of chemistry going on. What makes up the story for me are the characters. I really liked Ryder, because he was honest and never backed out of a challenge. Gina was something else all together. Although they were all great characters created from creative minds, I had a difficult time relating to Gina. Let's just say she's was too wild and reckless to my liking. I sighed quite a few times. Bottom line if the readers are in the mood for a sexy steamy story get this one.
Story told in a dual POV with an HEA. This is the second story in the A Wilde Player Dirty Romance series. For better enjoyment, I prefer to read books in a series in order.

I was hooked into this book from page one.
That hasn't happened to me in a looooooooooooooong time... seriously, page one.
I'm not one to sugar coat, and these two are crazy together. Sometimes they are great and others I legitimately couldn't stand what they were doing to each other. You all know I hate spoilers sooooooo I don't want to give anything away so I'm done talking about the storyline.
I love these two authors - their work is fantastic. I can't say enough about it; really their work is so good. I don't know how you write so well with another person and still sound like one author talking. I LOVE IT. Whatever they're doing I hope they keep it up and give me so much more for my library!!
This book's flow is amazing. Obviously from my gushing above, the writing style is one of my all time favorites. Their characters are so developed, complicated, emotional, and so very well thought out and put together. The story unfolds beautifully through the book. You learn everything just as you need to; there isn't any unless information or weird out of place sections.
I highly recommend this book to you!

Fastball is a great read from Terri E Laine and A.M Hargrove. I love the writing style of these two ladies they create characters that have a great connection and just pull you in their story.
I have to admit it did take me a little time to warm up to Gina she did come across a little whiney and selfish in the beginning but the more I read and began to understand her back story the more I began to like her. I liked how Ryder new exactly what or should I say who he wanted he's one "hot" baseball player he could literally have any women he wants but no matter how much Gina tries to push him away he's determined to show her just how much she deserves to be loved.
Overall a great read and I'm hoping that maybe we'll get Riley's story next.

These Wilde men are HOT! I loved Sidelined and was excited that Gina and Ryder's story continued in Fastball. Ryder can get any woman he wants, but one night with Gina and he's hooked. Gina isn't sure of his intentions and although she's attracted to him, she tries to keep him at arms length.
It's sexy how Ryder is honest and puts his feelings on the line. He's not playing games this time and he wants to be with Gina. I love the chemistry and funny banter between them. They have a physical connection, but know deep down it's more than that.
It's great to have Fletcher and Cassidy from Sidelined in the story too. Fletcher and Ryder are lose and Cassidy and Gina are best friends, so it makes total sense they are part of this story. The transition is great. Love these authors together and look forward to reading more from them. Great series so far ladies!

I was warned I might need a fan while reading this....the warning was warranted.
In this book we have Ryder and Gina. Gina does not do relationships. . . ever. But she does love sex. What I loved most about this story is that it is the woman running from the relationship and when we get her background, we can understand why. She accepts and owns her sexuality. Ryder has been described as a player, but we don't really see this - something I like. He is willing to step out of his comfort zone to be with Gina - but does stick to his guns his own hard limits.
There is a lot of back and forth, miscommunication and moments of wanting to slap the characters and I loved every minute of it!
I'm definitely going to read the other two books in this series.

I love this writing team, Hargrove & Laine, hope they will write again together very very soon, they write such steamy reads. let's me see is this my 2nd read or 3 book i have read by them? 1st read by them was "A Beautiful Sin", such a great read, if you have not read that one, check it out.... so i wanted to give this one a shot, 'cause I knew they would not let me down. yep, i was right, you will love it too!! promise!!! Dirty and fast!
Ryder and Gina have a super fast hot relationship that is incredibly dirty. It's a chase for him to catch her and it's a home run when he does. She has fears just like everyone else when it comes to relationships that make you question everything but it's a sweet book even if it is super dirty!

I really loved Ryder he was a caring guy, “in a good way. Can’t you feel exactly how much I want you? I’m trying to be a gentleman here and talk to you, but I can show you just how much I’ve missed being inside you these last few days.” I liked this book, I really loved Ryder.
