Whilst this book has a sparse amount of words the rich illustrations allow for a lot more to be discussed depending on a child's age and learning level. In a way the book could be used to teach about interactions when playing together such as the importance of being polite, sharing, and being mindful of others playing efforts. The book looks at the idea of play outside of just playing with toys and also incorporates things like cooking, creating, and imaginative play in a variety of settings which further allows for a variety of discussions.
