Great Characters, Smooth Plot and Tons of Excitement

Holmes in America by Karen Vaughan is one of those hard-to-put-down, high energy, suspenseful books you dream of finding. This Canadian police procedural had great characters, a smooth flowing plot, and tons of excitement. I highly recommend.

This was a fantastic book by Vaughan! She created new characters that are believable and entertaining. Using the name of Sherlock Holmes and designated them to two different characters.
Kristen Sherlock is a detective who has been accused of stealing drugs from a drug bust and demoted, along with being in charge of a British detective, Nigel Holmes, who himself has a less than stellar record with Scotland Yard.
Together they both do an amazing job at solving crimes and clearing Sherlock's name, while Holmes learns how to be a proper detective.
I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good mystery laced with Vaughan's fantastic humor.

Nigel Holmes was a British police officer who couldn't seem to stay out of trouble. He's sent to Toronto to straighten out his lfe and join forces with Kristen Sherlock, who is a detective in that city. The two go on an adventure as Kristen is threatened by Paul Langley, a man who readers are going to love to hate. The story is told with the author's unique and intriguing sense of humor that always makes her books fun as well as suspenseful. If you grab a Karen Vaughan book, you will find yourself going back to this author every time you want a great read written with humor but also telling a suspense filled mysterious tale.
