If you want to learn about the Depression, but don't know where to start, this is the right thing to read. It gives the right mixture of getting the point across without getting into to much, making it easy to understand. The girl Kit, a fictitious character yet the model for what a normal kid had to go through during the Great Depression Era. I believe that this would be good for teachers and someone who just wants a general knowledge of the Depression.

I do not care for this book. It includes more overviews of Kit's story than anything else. The history is there, but not very in depth- at least not as in depth as her other world book. The pull outs and flip outs are boring.

I forgot how much fun and interactive this book was. Gives a nice introduction about the Great Depression as well as referencing Kit's life through her main books. Had some some games throughout which were a great way to pass the time!
