What if a monster lived inside your mailbox? What if your school had a cursed locker that made its owners go missing? What might happen if you wandered down a silent, dark, mazelike alleyway? What if you rode on a haunted roller coaster? In each of the tales in this book, people are afraid. Very afraid. Read their stories. See if you share their fears. Because if you don't now, you will.

Michael Dahl is the prolific author of more than 200 books for children and young adults. This is the follow-up volume to “Frightmares” (2015). Some of the stories in “Frightmares 2” will be appearing in future volumes by Michael Dahl. For example, “The Monster in the Mailbox,” is the title story for the 2017 release “The Monster in the Mailbox: And Other Scary Tales.” Still, young readers will enjoy reading speculative fiction from the security of their armchair. Dahl explores and expands on common fears: What if your school had a cursed locker that made its owners go missing? Could a roller coaster be haunted? Enlivened by illustrations from Xavier Bonet, young readers will enjoy a not-so-scary foray into the supernatural.
The first part was ok, i had fun. i would probably really enjoy it if i was younger. The second and third part were a dissapointment. The beginnings were thrilling, but then the end would kill the tension. So in conclusion: big potential, just the rest was badly executed :/.
