Savage Mafia Prince

Rate this book
Where is Kiro?
He’s the lost Dragusha brother, heir to a vast mafia empire—brilliant, violent, and utterly savage…and he’s been missing for years.

*A standalone HEA romance!*

Ann
I'm supposed to be doing simple undercover research at the Fancher Institute for the Mentally Ill & Dangerous, but I can’t keep my mind off Patient 34. He’s startlingly young and gorgeous, but it’s not just that. He’s strapped way too tightly to that bed. And there’s no name or criminal history on his chart. What are these people hiding? My reporter’s instincts are screaming.

Here's the other thing: the staffers here believe he’s so sedated that there’s not a thought in his head, but I catch him watching me when nobody’s looking. Our connection sizzles when I enter the room. When our eyes meet, I know he understands me in a way nobody else ever has.
I’m supposed to follow my editor’s orders—I have secrets, too—but everything about Patient 34 is suspicious. How can I not investigate?

Well…dayum! This one totally blew me away! While I liked the previous installments, I loved this one. It was without a doubt the best installment in the series and it honestly sucked me in from the very beginning. The story was so griping I couldn’t put it down for one minute, not only because of its dark, suspenseful elements, but also because of the romantic aspect which was intriguing and done very well. 'Savage Mafia Prince' is the third and final installment in Annika Martin’s series, entitled 'A Dangerous Royals Romance' and like its predecessors it focuses on one of the Dragusha brothers, this time Kiro.

“I was savage and feral from the first moment I can remember, a creature of blood and violence and hell with a fever inside me.”

Kiro is the lost Dragusha brother. Twenty years ago he was stolen from his parents and his brothers and sold in an illegal adoption ring. He doesn’t know who he really is, that he’s the lost prince or that one of his older brothers is now the head of the biggest Albanian mafia family in Chicago. He has no recollection of his brothers or that he became Bloody Lazurus’s target, his brothers’ biggest enemy. Over the years, Kiro’s life wasn’t easy. He was treated like a savage by everyone, some nasty circumstances making him living in the wild, being known by everyone as Savage Adonis. Now, Kiro is being kept in a hospital for the criminally insane being heavily sedated and restrained.

“He’s a force of nature. Pure aliveness. Pure power. He’s the most ferociously hot thing I’ve ever seen. The most dangerous thing I’ve ever seen. Barely human. Savage Adonis.”

Ann is an undercover reporter working as a nurse at the institute when Kiro is kept. Even if she works on a different story, she pays attention on everything that happens there. And that’s how she realizes that Patient 34, aka Kiro’s drugs are not “working” on him. She’s eager to find out who the patient is and his story, so she starts to investigate, soon after finding out that his case is not handled like it was supposed to.

Kiro and Ann’s connection is powerful from the beginning. While at first they don’t trust each other, they are both drawn to the other. Things get complicated, but also the dynamic between them starts to change when the enemy wants to capture not only Kiro, but Ann too.

“He’s broken me somehow. And I like it. I want to be broken by him over and over.”

Kiro and Ann’s story, like the previous installments in the series is told in multiple POVs which I found very interesting and also necessary. Like I mentioned above, this installment was the best installment in the series (at least for me), but also the most intriguing and hottest, which I obviously enjoyed. For me, everything was better in this third book. The story was unique, most gripping somehow, the plot more complex, the two main characters more intriguing and fantastically portrayed. Mrs. Martin mixed the suspense, action, steam and everything in between effortlessly, delivering an intense, fast-paced story that kept me at the edge of my seat the entire time.

“You’re mine to feed. Mine to care for.” I’ll smell her arousal soon. “Mine to fuck,”

Kiro was a fascinating hero I’ve been intrigued about ever since I read the first installment. I absolutely loved his portrayal and I enjoyed how his background was gradually revealed. My heart ached for him, for what they did to him, for his loneliness and helpfulness. Kiro was an intense character from the moment he was introduced. He was angry and savage like a beast at times, but also protective and possessive other times, a truly Alpha male, a sexy caveman that really won my heart from the start. His need to protect Ann was heartwarming and as the story progresses we can see how sweet and caring can be.

Ann was an awesome character as well. She was strong, intelligent and determined and I loved her feistiness. I loved how compassionate and considerate she was with Kiro and I loved the way he figured out Kiro, how she has seen him for who he really is, how at times she had understood him better than anyone.

“I’ll always come for you,” he says. “Always, as long as my heart beats, I’ll come for you. Protect you.”

I loved Kiro and Ann together and I loved how the romantic aspect was done. Their relationship seemed doomed from the beginning in some way, but the way they connected with each other was fantastically done. Their relationship progressed naturally and nothing felt rushed or OTT. I absolutely loved the explosive chemistry between them and OMG, the sex scenes were off the charts hot.

Once again, the supportive characters were intriguing and well portrayed and I loved seeing the Dragusha brothers reunite.

All in all, 'Savage Mafia Prince' was a fantastic addition to the series – intriguing, dark, suspenseful and so steamy. I recommend this installment/series if you love alpha heroes/mafia books/suspenseful action packed stories.

“Everything about you is so beautiful to me.”

He’s broken me somehow. And I like it. I want to be broken by him over and over.

The wait is finally over. The youngest and most lethal Dragusha brother's story is finally here. To say that I was eagerly anticipating Kiro's book would be a HUGE understatement. I was practically panting with need for it.

A young boy, long thought dead, surviving in the wilderness for years and being raised among wolves, only to be captured and locked in a cage. Researched, bound, deemed criminal and mentally insane, Kiro counts down the minutes till he finally makes his ultimate escape, while unbeknownst to him his brothers continue their search for him before their mortal enemy gets to him first. But then a beautiful and broken woman working through the demons of her own past complicates things for Kiro's plans...
He’s a force of nature. Pure aliveness. Pure power. He’s the most ferociously hot thing I’ve ever seen. The most dangerous thing I’ve ever seen.

Ann only knows him as patient Patient 34. He's on so many drugs he's practically comatose, but yet she can't help but feel an almost electric current of danger oozing from his still form. As an undercover reporter sent on a different assignment than Patient 34, Ann can't help but sense a deeper story and she's determined to get to the bottom of it. But what's more important to her, the story, or the developing bond she feels to Kiro every passing second in his company?

I have to admit, that I may have let my anticipation for this book build up my expectations. I was thinking the series would end with a bang. I expected lots of action and a quick paced story filled with gritty darkness. And while this was some of those things, it also wasn't. It was slower paced with most of the action happening towards the end.

That aside, I adored Kiro. There's this hidden savage vulnerability to him that I just couldn't get enough of. He was like a wounded wolf; you want to take care of him, but you still know he's a wild predator. His history is heartbreaking and the man is nothing if not a survivor. Ann was a great heroine and I loved her tenderness with him. I suppose I just found myself wishing for a little more. More grit. More dark. Each book in the series is very different and together they do have a good balance. If you're reading this as a standalone, you're doing yourself a great disservice. This is a continuing story line and many details would be lost on you having not read the previous two books.

Was it everything I hoped? Not quite. Did it still hit the spot and settle my craving for Kiro's story? Absolutely.

Savage Mafia Prince
A Dangerous Royals Romance, #3
By Annika Martin

Kiro- Savage Mafia Prince

Sad to say this is the 3rd & final book in this series
I wasn’t certainly what to expected in his book.. All I knew is was going to be another tense & intriguing read. And let me tell you there was certainly no disappointment
In Dark Mafia Prince & Wicked Mafia Prince Aleksio was the one with head on his shoulders, while Viktor was more the brawn. Now we find ourselves with Kiro

Annika Martin delivers once again with Kiro’s story. While each book centers around one particular brother the continuing storyline throughout this series has me totally hooked. I love a good Mafia romance & with three extremely different & Very Alpha’s intriguing brothers this series is certainly a winner in my eyes.

Kiro is the lost Dragusha brother that everyone one seems to want for different reasons. While Kiro feels lost & alone trapped inside Criminally insane asylum. The only family he know is the wolf’s that help raise him in the wild where he was left at the age of 9. Lil does he know that he has 2 brothers looking for him, or even worse most of the Albanian Mob is looking for him

Ann - I’m a journalist who started life as a nurse. Not a lot of things surprise me. But Kiro does. No, scratch that—he doesn’t surprise me. He fills me with awe.
Ann goes undercover as nurse at the institute where Kiro is kept, on completely different story. When she accidentally realizes that Patient 34 is not as drug up as everyone thinks, she becomes concern. They call Patient 34 the escape artist.

Kiro gave up his chance to escape from a living hell to help me when Donny attacked me, so when I was next giving the opportunity to help him I didn’t hesitate
Together on the run for their life’s from the Police & a powerful Albanian mafia kingpin with nothing but Murderous intentions to uphold or try to not hold prophecy that was told over 20 years ago.. A race against time for everyone

“I’ve told her my secrets. I’ve vowed to protect her. I can’t let her go”

The reunion between the brothers brought tears to my eyes Cuz I wanted to see so much more between the brothers. I don’t know I just expected Lil bit more from the reunion since Aleksio & Viktor had been looking for so long for Kiro they had been separated for so many years. But that’s just my opinion

I recommend this installment/series.. Mrs. Martin writing skills are amazing… But again that’s just my opinion

This has it all- Revenge - vengeance-Suspense - betrayal-Hot Sex7 Plenty of violence …. Everything a Mafia Series should have
1- Viktor-Dark Mafia Prince -6-28-16
2- Viktor- Wicked Mafia Prince -7-26-16
3- Kiro- Savage Mafia Prince -10-11-16

Hot savage beautiful Kiro.

I've been waiting for Kiro's story since he was first mentioned in 'Dark' and we find him drugged and restrained in the Fancher Institute where he's know only as patient 34.
Kiro's life has been a nightmare of abuse and cruelty, the only time he remembers being happy is living with the wolves.
Ann trained as a nurse but journalism is where she found her perfect job but her career has taken a huge dive and since no respectable editor will hire her anymore she finds herself working undercover for Stormline at the Fancher Institute.
She's amazed when she meets patient 34, firstly by his looks and size since he's incredibly hot and totally huge but it becomes more than this, she knows he's aware of his surroundings even though no one believes her plus why doesn't he have a name, her journalistic curiosity kicks in and she's determined to discover his name and his history. Meanwhile kiro is planning his escape, Lazarus is planning his murder he just needs to find him and his brothers Aleksio and Viktor are consumed with finding him first.
I enjoyed this book I loved Kiro and how powerful he was but.....
Why is there always a but?
This book was really good no complaints there, well I did wonder since it takes three armed guards and a nurse to take his blood pressure and inject his meds what is the situation for bathroom breaks, I mean seriously can they all fit in there?
No, that wasn't my but.
This book didn't go exactly as I expected because since it was 3 of 3 I assumed the brothers would all meet up before half way and then we'd get a large portion of the Dragusha brothers together taking on the world, that doesn't mean I wanted less Kiro because I definitely didn't so while this book was good I wanted more of them together and I feel his would have been better as book 3 of 4, a book for each of them and then one of them together.

I think this was the best book of the series. I liked the Savage Adonis aka Kiro. More than liked him. Despite not having 'book smarts', he was highly intelligent and incredibly self-aware. From what little I learned of what became of him in book 2, my heart was already breaking. Reading more of his struggle in this book was devastating, but it made me love him all the more. I admired his cunning, his integrity, his loyalty, his strength, his ability to persevere, and even his love for Ann.

So why only 4 stars? Sorry, but just like the other heroines, I didn't have a lot of love for Ann either.

This story had a lot of heart and Kiro was definitely the star of the show!

P.S. How great was the scene when the brothers finally reunited??? *tear* So worth it!!

P.P.S. I swear I read something that there was going to be a book for Lazarus. Say what now? Is he going to be just as evil or will he have a come-to-Jesus moment? And will this book involve Valerie in some way?

I'm rating this book 4.5 stars. I really loved and enjoyed reading this book. It had everything you need or want in a romance book. Great character, chemistry, originality, love, and it was interesting. I read this book straight through and it kept me hooked on it since the very beginning. I was never bored and overall it captured my interest almost immediately. I truly felt the two love interests were meant to be together. I wasn't sure at first about reading this but I'm glad I did. This read was also totally unique and it definitely wasn't close to any other book I've ever read. The wolves really added something to this book that made it amazing. I know I'll remember this book for years to come. The only thing that made this not 5 stars was the phone thing. Even I now that happens with your phone. That's why I'm rating this book 4.5 stars.

Side note: This book can be read as stand alone even though it's in a series. I read this book first before the other two and wasn't confused or anything.

If you’ve been following this mafia family saga from the beginning, then you’ve probably been as intrigued about the third Dragusha brother as I have, and now Kiro finally gets his story.

Ann Saybrook, 29, is a down on her luck journalist, struggling with her own issues while undercover at a mental institution in Minnesota. But she might be on to a bigger story than the one she’s assigned once she encounters Patient 34.

Kiro Dragusha, 21, has no idea that he’s the long lost link to fulfilling an old mafia prophecy, that he has a criminal empire at his disposal, or that he has two powerful brothers searching desperately for him. All he wants it to return to his life in the wilderness with the wolves…and to take his mate, Nurse Ann, along.

“Caveman and captive is a good role-play fantasy, but this role-play is moving into reality with alarming speed, and cavewoman is not my preferred lifestyle.”

Told via Ann and Kiro’s alternating first person POV (as well as a few other familiar voices) Savage Mafia Prince is an action-adventure romantic suspense. Like the previous books in this series, it pulls you in till you can’t put it down.

Kiro is probably everything readers have imagined and more. He’s fast. He’s fierce. He’s intense. He’s determined. No matter the obstacle, he’s not to be stopped.

“It’s a dress rehearsal for sucking his cock—we both know it.”

Oh yeah, and he’s savagely sexy too! A blend of the Incredible Hulk along with “Paul Bunyan meets GQ,” you’ll want your own alpha savage who’s devoted to you. (That little rhyme was totally unintentional but hey it would make a great motto for Kiro!) Major point for originality with this character. If you are tired of reading the same romantic heroes, then this is a must read for uniqueness. Kiro is a fully developed riveting character—he will make you swoon, tug at your heartstrings, and turn you on!

I also want to praise the absence of OW/OM drama in this whole series. I know many readers like myself get tired of romantic plots than hinge on another man or woman causing trouble for the main couple, and this series proves that you don’t need all that melodrama to make a riveting story. These tales have been packed with danger, intrigue, and inner turmoil that each couple has to face, and those issues provide ample conflict to propel the plot.

Each book has left me wanting a little more, and I closed this one feeling the same, craving more of this eclectic family together.

SAVAGE MAFIA PRINCE: Each book within the series can be read as a standalone. I've read each of these books within the series but I have to say this is the one I've anticipated the most.

Finally we're getting Kiro's story, the lost Dragusha's brother, missing from his family since he was a baby, stolen in the night, never to be seen again. Sold in an illegal adoption ring. Kiro has no recollection of his brothers that are looking for him, they will never give up until the three are reconnected again.

Patient 34, the man with no name, but we know him as Kiro, They say he's dangerous, held hostage in restraints in a mental institute, for the criminally insane.

Restrained from arms to waist, waist to bed, ankles to bed, neck to bed, and if that's not enough he's also severely heavily sedated, enough to take down an elephant. What the guards don't know though is that Patient 34 has a high metabolism so the drugs pass through his system quickly.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic He will never have his meds reduced. He will never have his restraints reduced, and the only way 34's getting out of this room is feet first.

In the first chapter were introduced to twenty-nine year old Ann from her own POV a burnt out reporter whose undercover as a nurse to bring the story of the century to light of the goings on at the Fancher Institute for the Mentally Ill & Dangerous where Patient 34 has piqued her interest.

He's scheming, planning his escape. It's only a matter of time before he'll make his move, thinking it would only be himself but after protecting Ann the both flee the Institute together.

A race against time.

The reunion between the brothers brought tears to my eyes. The three finally reunited after being separated for so many years.

Just as I thought it was the best book in the series.
The story was so good and I couldn't put it down for one minute. Kiro and Ann’s connection was so powerful and great.
I expected a lot of the ending but it wasn't what I wanted I feel still there is more untold story, unfinished business that we need to read.
overall is was a surprisingly good read. :)

Savage Mafia Prince is the third and final installment to the A Dangerous Royals Romance Series that chronicles the search of Kiro, the last remaining Dragusha sibling.

#savageMafiaPrince

Patient 34 doesn't have a name. He is a savage monster locked away in a mentally ill and dangerous facility. He is just Patient 34 to others but in truth he is the long lost baby brother of Aleksio and Viktor. As the brothers race to find their brother before Lazarus gets to Kiro, Patient 34 develops a bond with the new nurse, Ann.

Ann is not just a nurse but also an investigative journalist working undercover at the MiD facility. It is there she meets Patient 34 and forms a deep unspoken connection with him. It is there she sees the real man behind the savagery.

While this book is told in multiple POVs, Annika Martin beautifully weaves layers of suspense, grittiness and romance in the backdrops. Kiro hands down was the IT factor as to why this installment stood out. Kiro may be a simple man but his inner working of his mind was smart and cunning. The sexual and romantic development of Ann and Kiro was hot and explosive. Readers like myself could feel the inevitable and turning point of this story when it was only a matter of time till Ann helped Kiro in his escape at the mental facility.

So if you are looking for a raw, primal, sexy and dangerous love story that was brimming with action and passion then this series might be for you.

Where’s Kiro? This was the question that I needed to be answered since the first book of the Dangerous Royals series. It was a whirlwind of adrenaline and three books to get here, but I can say I finally have closure.

Kiro is the youngest of the three Dragusha brothers and an heir to an Albanian mob family. After the death of their parents when he was just a baby, he was taken and has no idea who he truly is. His older brothers have been reunited and have tried to find answers about his whereabouts, but ran into dead ends at every turn. Kiro was stolen, illegally adopted, abandoned in the wilderness, raised in a pack of wolves, and later caged as a science experiment. He is literally a savage in every sense of the word.

Ann is an undercover journalist posing as a nurse. She knows that there is something suspicious about nearly-comatose Patient 34 in the psyche ward. She’s there on another assignment, but she can’t ignore the facts and delves into his history. Searching for the truth about Patient 34 (Kiro) gets her kidnapped and chased by madmen set on killing the mob heir.

Kiro’s story is heartbreaking from the very beginning. He had zero chance to be a normal child, teenager, or adult. He survived the worst circumstances imaginable, so I can understand why Ann would want to help him. Kiro is so primal with her in every way. It’s all he’s ever known, so I thought that Martin did an excellent job with his point of view and inner thoughts.

All of that said, I would have liked a little more time with the brothers after their reunion. Most of the action occurs at the end of the book and it felt a bit rushed. After taking three books to get to this monumental moment, it felt glossed over in the end. Maybe I could beg for another book? Perhaps a novella instead? It’s a great series, so if you enjoy darker romances with suspense and action, the Dangerous Royals are for you.

“Together we rule. Together we cannot be defeated.”

What a series this has been! Intense, passionate and very suspenseful! The build up through the previous books, Dark Mafia Prince and Wicked Mafia Prince has culminated in this instalment and wow! What a game of cat and mouse adrenaline filled story it was as we set upon a quest with the Dragusha brothers to restore the prophecy and see them as fulfil their reign as rightful heirs to a criminal empire.

The Dragusha brothers love their women with a fierceness, possessiveness and all-consuming passion that pulsated off the pages! When these guys love, they love for life. They’re strong, powerful and share an inexplicable brotherly bond that has never wavered despite being ripped apart after their parents were murdered when they were small boys.

‘You can never give people anything. They only hurt you with it.’

Each book has covered a different Dragusha brother, Aleksio, Viktor and now Kiro, the youngest and most vulnerable of the brothers. This young man has had it tough since being kidnapped as a baby. Passed from foster home, to laboratory to now being held in the Fancher Institute for the Mentally Ill, completely unaware that he has a family looking for him.

Under instructions from the head of the hospital, Dr Fancher, Kiro is being kept in a drug induced vegetated state, strapped to a bed day and night to keep him from escaping. They’re of the assumption that Kiro can neither speak nor communicate due to his inactive state, that is until he meets Nurse Ann and shows her glimpses that he can in fact understand what is going on around him.

“Don’t worry, Ann. I will always protect you.”

Ann is a journalist, working undercover at the hospital to break a story about drug movement within those walls. What Ann uncovers is so much more. She’s immediately drawn to Patient 34, knowing he is relating to her which sees her naturally inquisitive nature investigate who Patient 34 really is and why he is being kept in such deplorable circumstances.

The connection between Ann and Kiro is magnetic, raw, primal and instantly passionate. He is drawn to her, compelled to her in a very sexual way, yet he relishes the caring side she shows him. Having lived a life of pain and hurt, Kiro responds to Ann’s caring nature.

His breath is velvet on my cheek. “There’s nowhere you can hide from me. No part of you can hide from me.”

Having lived most of his life in the wild, Kiro’s lust and desire is very primitive and oh boy did the sex scenes between Ann and Krio reflect this! Wow! They were fervent, rough, consuming and very, very hot.

“You’re mine to feed. Mine to care for. Mine to fuck. Mine to make come.”

The story really kicks off when Ann attempts to free Kiro. Time isn’t on their side as everyone is after Kiro. Aleksio and Viktor are in a race against time to find Kiro before the crazed and dangerous Lazarus, a powerful Albanian Mafia kingpin, hell bent on ensuring the brothers never connect to prevent the prophecy from coming to fruition. With no scruples or compassion, this man will stop at nothing in his quest to find Kiro before his brothers.

A tantalising, thrilling, adrenaline filled story told with excitement and passion delivering the hunger, love, primal possessiveness and yes…even some ‘caveman kink’ of a man who would do anything to protect the woman he loves. The prophecy, bond and intense link of brotherhood, the gripping love stories, and the exhilarating suspense all went into making this a series one we couldn’t put down!

Savage Mafia Prince (Dangerous Royals Romance #3) by Annika Martin
4.5 stars!!!

“I used to say that the story begins where the comfort zone ends…”

Wow, what a conclusion to this totally compelling series that Annika Martin has delivered. I love my Mafia books and this whole trilogy has been suspenseful, intriguing, intense and extremely hot. The Dragusha brothers were all totally different, separated as children and finally reunited. While they missed growing up together their similarities in temperament, their actions and their morals definitely bonded these men together. These guys don’t love easily, but when they do, they are all in. All three were intense, passionate and protective and god help anyone that endangered either themselves or their partners.

Each book in this series centres around one brother while the plot lines from the very first book continue throughout the series. Dark Mafia Prince was Aleksio, Wicked Mafia Prince was Viktor and now it is the turn of, Kiro, in Savage Mafia Prince. Kiro was the youngest brother, ripped apart from his family as a babe in arms. He knew nothing of his past or his family and having escaped from the home he was placed in, he grew up in the wild, with the wolves, he was a real life Tarzan. Kiro feels at home with dirt under his feet, fresh air and wild abandon not in an asylum in a drug induced vegetative state which is where he finds himself at the start of this story.

“He’s a force of nature. Pure aliveness. Pure power. He’s the most ferociously hot thing I have ever seen. The most dangerous thing I’ve ever seen. Barely human. Savage Adonis.”

Nurse Ann is an undercover journalist who has had her fair share of stories in war zones and battle fields. She has her own demons but now she needs to re-establish herself as one of the most sought after journalists after her last job hit the skids. Hired to investigate a potential drugs ring within the hospital her nursing background comes in handy and cements her firmly in the right place at the right time.

Nurse Ann has her patients and none are more intriguing than Patient 34, a young man kept sedated for the safety of the staff and allegedly himself. Patient 34 was a wild one, had no respect from any of the staff and was treated appallingly, but it stunk, and being the investigative person that she was Ann knew that there was more to Patient 34 than met the eye.

“I wanted the savage story. Now I’m in it.”

Kiro a.k.a. Patient 34 was clever and cunning, he acted the part of the sedated patient but through sheer determination and strength he had found a way around his drug induced haze. Oblivious to the fact that Patient 34 is alert Nurse Ann shows him compassion and uses his lifeless body as a sounding board to her troubles and woe. She shows him affection, something that he has never had and it soon becomes apparent that Patient 34 has developed feelings he never knew existed and never knew he wanted.

“If you don’t know your own story, it controls you. The ignorance of your story is hurting us.”

With Lazarus still gunning for Kiro it is only a matter of time before he is found and the race is definitely on between him and Aleksio and Viktor. Lazarus, determined to prevent the prophecy from coming true and Aleksio and Viktor, determined to keep their family together and take their proper place. But once Ann unearths the truth about Patient 34 will she be an ally or foe?

The chemistry between Kiro and Ann was palpable and being the wild, caveman that he was Kiro’s actions and reactions were primal and feral leading to some rough, raw and uninhibited scenes. Finding a mate was a base instinct an act all about the release and the claiming, but Ann shows Kiro love and Annika Martin depicted this perfectly. His metamorphosis from caveman to lover was stunning.

“You’re mine to feed. Mine to care for…Mine to fuck…Mine to make come.”

This was a fantastic culmination to an unputdownable trilogy. I have loved this series from the very beginning and to see its conclusion is kind of bitter sweet. The Dragusha brothers are certainly memorable and this will go down as one of my Mafia favourites. This is a trilogy that I can highly recommend.

This one kept me up until 4 in the morning, needing to know what happens between Ann and Kiro. I haven't read the other books in the series, but they're standalones that connect within a family of Albanian mafia, and this one jumped out at me the most.

A savage man, locked away in a mental hospital, seen and understood by an undercover reporter posing as a nurse? It was such a beautiful premise that definitely held up in the storyline.

The portion where the two of them trekked through the wild was so interesting, seeing him revert back to his wild self. Seeing them bond, him believing she was his mate. She took a little longer to believe that, but couldn't deny the feelings she was accumulating for the man.

A good bit of this book focuses on the gangster Lazarus and his men dead set on finding Kiro to kill him, and also of his brothers trying to find him. There was a lot of suspense and dark undertones.

The only complaint I have is that the ending felt rushed - the reunion between the brothers, and the return to civilization. Other than that, this kept me on the edge of my seat and OBSESSED with Kiro the entire time. A man raised by wolves and unflaggingly loyal to Ann, he was so intriguing.

I may read the others because the two brothers seem just as interesting.

Read this book if you like:

- Sex in public spaces or outside
- Men who look like they can break a human in half
- Growls (all of them)
-Mates
-Men who don’t wear shoes and run through the woods barefoot (it was said multiple times in the book, that’s nasty).

This book was interesting. It was number three in the series and there were honestly parts like about the brothers that I believe I would have understood better if I would have read the first two books. That being said Kiro is literally everything.

Kiro literally was left in an asylum for the mentally deranged and was named patient 34. We ultimately fine out his name but not until a group of Albanians try to murder him in the asylum. He escapes with Nurse Ann who he has fallen deeply for and is trying to make her his mate.

This book I think would have been better if I would have read the first two books prior to reading this one. However it was good. Also, how can you hate a man that growls and says “Mine”.

KIRO OMG KIRO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The third Dragusha brother has been lost for ages, but his brothers never gave up hope.

Everyone at the Fancher Institute for the Mentally Ill & Dangerous believes that Patient 34 is too sedated to even think but Ann knows better. She feels his awareness and his gaze on her every time she is near him. She had plans to accomplish at the Institute but her entire attention is taken up by Patient 34. He is a mystery she is desperate to solve. But things aren't what they seem. Everything surrounding 34 is shrouded in darkness and buried secrets but Ann can't seem to stop.

I can't even tell you how much I loved Kiro and this book. The entire story made my heart pound and I cried for Kiro. So much. This is probably the most emotional story out of the series and with good reason. I want to shout out to the world about how amazing Annika is. Her stories make you feel so much all at once. What an epic conclusion to an equally amazing series. ~Sonal

Thank goodness this series is over. Something in this pissed me off 🐺 and I know I'm not the only one that it will trigger. I listed that info below under spoilers. 🐺 Ugh.... begrudgingly here's a quick recap.

Kiro (wild beast, youngest Dragusha brother) was left in the woods at age 8 by an evil foster family. He was raised by a pack of wolves, until he was "rescued", held hostage, rescued again, and then sent to a psych ward. They keep him strapped to a bed 24/7 and drug him so much in order to keep him sedated. Kiro is a beast man and can control his BP and breathing and body thoroughly enough to fool the medical staff into thinking he's unconscious. That is until Nurse Ann (b*tch, also a reporter) comes along and catches him looking at her. Stupid Nurse Ann and Kiro feel a connection. Even though he never talks to her, she talks to him constantly. All he wants to do is escape and go back to his wolf family in the woods. When Bloody Lazarus, who f*cking Tanechka didn't kill in the last book, comes and holds the psych ward hostage, Kiro manages to escape with the b*tch, Nurse Ann. Some reporter crap happens with Ann and her story about the wild beast man, yadda yadda, and she wants to help him get back to his home while she continues to document him and "sneak" pictures of him. Kiro knows what she's doing, but he wants her as his mate. When they're halfway to his home, he tells her that he doesn't plan on letting her leave. When they finally have sex, it was so freaking HOT. Just that one time though. Annika Martin is NOT the author you want to go to for smut. Just remember that.

So..... The story of Kiro and Nurse Ann would have been AWESOME, except for the fact that Annika Martin kills someone and inserted other POVs that nobody f*cking cared about. You've got Aleksio, Tanechka, Viktor, and Bloody Lazarus POVs. It broke up the story and ruined the flow. I was so pissed off. I don't understand why she does that. If she had taken those out, this would have gotten a totally different rating.

I absolutely LOVE Kiro. What's not to love about him? He's everything. Ann, well there's a lot to dislike about her. She never acted like she developed real feelings for him and I hated that.

The biggest things I hated about this, besides the POV issue, are this SPOILER and the ending.

So we learn all about Kiro's wolf family and what does the author do.... she kills them. It's absolutely HEARTBREAKING when Kiro finds the bodies of his family. I CRIED like a mofo. I want to give it 1-star just for that alone. But I love Kiro. Then we get to the ending and it just ends. Kiro only wants to live in the woods with his wolf colony, away from all humans, but when his brothers finally find him, he's just like ok I'm ready to go into society and be normal. It didn't make ANY sense whatsoever. Totally not believable. Then, we spent all this time with them saying that the 3 brothers had to be together to rule the empire. They find him and take him home and then nothing. What are they supposed to do now? Like that was the big mystery in the whole story and it just dropped.

How do you rate a book like this?

I was so intrigued by the wild child Kiro. I love the premise of a man raised in wilderness with wolves for family.
The romance was interesting as well.
But I never quiet connected with the heroine, she seemed cold to me and then our hero basically kidnaps her and has sex with her on a rock with her face down, ouch.

It was fascinating but also pretty predictable.

This one felt so far off from the main plot of the story and the least "mafia" vibe even though we get other povs from the brothers from the first 2 books.

4.5 stars!

This was the wildest and most intriguing book in the series. It was utterly fascinating and captivating.
An explosive final installment for the Dragusha brothers!
Great job Annika! I loved it!

I loved this series. Annika Martin knew how to catch my attention throughout 3 books, about three brothers and their journey to get their family back together.

For the last installment, here’s Kiro’s story. Wild, passionate, primal, and feral. The little brother had a tough life and was living like a “savage”, being the center of people’s sickness attention. Just like an animal.

Kiro was the kind of hero that moved me. Behind this tough and hard facade was a man looking for love, to belong to someone. His lonely life made him wary and wary about people. Being taken advantage of, just like an experiment was so well written. Can I say I love his caveman and Alpha ways? Just freaking hot! The way he saw the world was a pure delight, something innocent with an ounce of experience.

Ann was supposed to be on a mission. As a reporter, stories mattered. When she crossed path with Kiro, her life started to change. She had deep scars and some traumatic events still haunted her. She became addicted to this magnetic and mesmerizing man and couldn’t stay away. She really saw him, the man, not the savage or monster people were looking for.

This book was an adventure, thanks to the scenery places but also from Kiro and Ann’s journey together. I won’t reveal you exactly the plot but be ready for their journey. Dark, sinfully erotic, just a beautiful discovery of themselves where they had to fight for their lives, to face their fears and finding the right person. Someone who makes you whole, complete you, your heart and your soul.

I think this one was definitely my fave and when a Dragusha man is in love, nothing comes between him and his mate. They love fiercely and intensely. Damn Kiro’s story was something else!

Brilliant and explosive third book.

Best book in the series

This was quite the departure. This was about the youngest brother who was raised by wolves. Yep that is what I said wolves. I loved it. He was wild and wow was he hot. H e is being held captive in an insane asylum and the nurse becomes his 'mate'. We travel with them through forests and wolf dens as he is being hunted by a demented Mafia guy who wants to kill him. His two brothers are also looking but they don't have good Intel and we really don't see them until the end. Loved this story but honestly realism is not its strong point But it is entertaining. Kiro the hero is incredibly hot.

Rated 3.5 Stars

I was really conflicted on how to rate this book as there were parts that I truly loved. However, there were also parts I found so frustrating because they were repetitious and contradictory. For instance the fact that Kiro had brothers was revealed to two characters, later on these same two characters in different scenes act like they were never privy to this information. That said, I still found Savage Mafia Prince an intriguing and enjoyable story.

Savage Mafia Prince is the third story in the Dangerous Royals Romance series, featuring three brothers whose reunification is feared and anticipated by their Albanian mafia brethren. Each story can be read as a standalone, but there is a continuing story arc through all three books. In book 1, Dark Mafia Prince, eldest brother Aleksio Dragusha made moves to solidify his empire and get his brothers back, separated when they were young by the killing of their parents by rival mafia leaders. He found his true love in the daughter of an enemy. In Wicked Mafia Prince, second born Viktor found the woman he thought lost forever and more leads were uncovered in the search for the youngest. Now, in Savage Mafia Prince, both brothers are getting closer to finding Kiro but so is their sworn enemy, Bloody Lazarus.

Kiro is an enigma, a boy adopted but eventually unwanted, cast out into the woods at a young age who survived for years in the wilderness. He’s a savage, raised partly by wolves and when found in the wild eventually ends up in a mental institution, drugged but waiting for his chance to escape. He doesn’t know that he has two brothers searching for him, or that an enemy who fears an old prophecy about the Dragusha brothers is one step closer.

Ann is a reporter who is following a story lead on supply thefts at the mental institution where Kiro is being kept. She’s got a background in nursing and has used this to get the position. She doesn’t know who patient 34 is, she just knows that he’s strapped to a gurney in his padded soundproof and well-guarded cell. The cocktail of drugs he’s on to reduce his mental capacity and physical strength should make him a vegetable – but she catches the occasional glimpse of complete lucidity that tells her things aren’t what they seem. And when she finds herself confiding in him about her past, her mental breakdown while covering her last war story, she feels a bond with him. Soon she finds herself caught up in something she never expected, on the run with him, hunted by would-be killers and more. The savage man comes to show her his true heart. But will it be enough to convince her to stay with him? And will they survive long enough for the brothers to be finally reunited?

What an exciting, action packed and sexy story! From the very first few pages, I was hooked, as Ann meets Patient 34 and starts to delve into his case. Just the fact that he has no name means there is a story there, one she is determined to uncover. But her investigation is made more difficult by her mistrusting and suspicious co-workers. It’s a tension filled plot and kept me on edge throughout. As for Kiro, his story is heartbreaking. Abandoned as a child, forced to fend for himself, he showed remarkable resilience and is waiting for the moment he can finally break free. He trusts no-one, even Ann who talks to him as if he can hear her (which he can, though no one else suspects). When Ann figures out who Kiro is and is involved in his escape from the hospital he still can’t trust her, having experienced betrayal from reporters before. Kiro’s sense of hearing and smell are like an animal, honed from years in the wild. He knows when Ann is near him whether she is afraid – or aroused. Not trusting her doesn’t mean he is not interested in her being his mate. The result is behavior of the highest alpha male order and some super steamy scenes between them. Kiro doesn’t mince words. He wants her and he is very clear on what he expects in return. Yet with that dominant personality comes the ultra protectiveness of the dominant male and the realization and understanding that he will do anything to keep her safe.

There are scenes in the story from other characters’ points of view, notably the bad guy Bloody Lazarus who is hunting Kiro to put an end to the Dragusha brothers prophecy once and for all. There are also scenes from Aleksio and Viktor as they follow the trail. It’s definitely not a sweet and light romance, though there are some tender scenes amid the sex and violence. The setting is unique for a mafia story – first at the mental hospital and then out in the wilderness as Kiro tries to find his way ‘home’ with Ann at his side. There are lots of twists and turns before we get to a happy ending for Kiro and Ann, and the conclusion to the brothers’ story. It’s an intense and exciting read!

It's finally time to experience Kiro and his own unique story!

It feels like we’ve been waiting for Kiro’s story for an age but in reality it’s only been months. Destined to be the culmination of the Dangerous Royals series, the barrier was possibly set impossibly high for Kiro and Savage Mafia Prince, but did it deliver?

Mostly, yes, although I didn’t find myself swept away by this book, in the same way as its predecessors. Had I read it without the mafia theme so strongly attached to it I am sure I would have loved it. For me, I missed the drama of the mafia and organised crime family essence portrayed in the series to date, although this did appear at the end of the book, much to my delight. This is not a bad thing per se but, for me personally, I found myself in unchartered territory and reading a book with a Tarzan and Jane theme throughout.

We know Kiro was taken as a child which resulted in him living in the wild and becoming a shadow of the man he was destined to be. We know he had been captured and was highly dangerous and was now living out his days in a mental health facility and that’s where we are finally properly introduced to him, and his story. I loved how the author handled Kiro’s unconscious consciousness whilst under heavy medication. It may be a little too difficult to accept for some but for me that element worked well, especially as it was the way Kiro was introduced to his love interest in this book, Ann.

Ann is an undercover reporter working at as a nurse at the institute. Working on a completely different story, she doesn’t expect the pull of Kiro’s treatment and isolation to draw her focus away from her real purpose there. Ann finds herself talking openly to Kiro and, having experienced horrors in her own life, she finds it cathartic to talk to a man who is unable to respond, or even listen to her rambling words, or so she thinks. Kiro is hiding his level of consciousness though and soon he finds himself unable to ignore Ann any longer. With a lip twitch here and an eye follow there, Ann soon comes to realise that Kiro is trying to deceive the staff at the institute and Ann starts to investigate why this is. With Kiro mostly unresponsive, he’s of little help so Ann must dig deeper and in doing so gets herself into danger.

Kiro has formed a bond with Ann and despite not trusting her, finds himself drawn to protect her and after Ann is attacked, Kiro reveals the true level of his sedation. With his secret out though, he is pumped with even more drugs and that’s when Bloody Lazarus targets Ann. With the need to find the third Dragusha brother still a priority for him, he searches the wards to find and kill Kiro, with Ann’s forced assistance.

As expected, despite his drugged state, Kiro springs into action in Ann’s defence and the two flee the facility together and once again into the wilderness, and to Kiro’s true family. Kiro still finds it difficult to trust Ann and feels that she is leading Lazarus to him, however, his attraction to her overwhelms him and his sensibilities and the two start to form a relationship under the stars.

Lazarus may have all the answers in relation to Kiro’s locations but Aleksio and Viktor inevitably catch up with Kiro but is it too late to save their long, lost brother?

Despite my misgivings about this story, it is an epic one and one like no other. I am sorry to see this trilogy conclude but the characters and the relationships they formed along the way will last with me.

If you haven't experienced this author before then I implore you to do so, you won't be disappointed.

4 SAVAGE CROWNS

Savage Mafia Prince, the conclusion to the Dangerous Royals series, is not what I was expecting nor was Kiro. Both of these surprises kept me engaged from the first page.

Kiro is a complete and total savage. His brute strength, his ideas, and his interactions with others all indicate that he is nothing but a wild man not fit to be with the public. However, there is a whole other person lying dormant. Underneath his rough exterior is a deeply emotional man. So many times my heart broke for Kiro throughout this book. His search for a family and the need for acceptance is just completely gut wrenching. On the opposite end of the spectrum, his raw animalistic aggression was just completely HOT! The violence and destruction he left in his wake shouldn't have been attractive; however, just like Ann, the reader is completely enthralled with the ferocious nature of this man. His dedication to the people he loves is also another admirable trait that makes him a fantastic hero.

Ann, the heroine of this story stumbles upon Kiro, and unlike everyone else around him, she senses the personality that is lying beneath his catatonic facade. From the minute they connect, even though it is the tinniest moment, the chemistry between the two is palpable. Her desire to help him, to do what is best for him, and to return him to his home will make the reader love her, because that is what we want for him.

The sex in this book is aggressive, raw, and uncivilized, which makes sense based on the main character of the book. I found these scenes to be explosive and actually served to develop the characters and their relationship. These scenes also become about more than the sex; the emotions that run through them exhibits how these sometimes animalistic encounters between them exemplifies how much they care about each other.

The plot of this story is engaging from the very first page. There is danger lurking around every corner for Kiro and Ann, leaving them no choice but to depend on each other. By fighting off these dangers, the two grow closer as they try to find their way to safety and home. The book culminates with the face off the reader has been waiting for since book one. The reunion is heartfelt, yet quickly interrupted with the impending battle, and I wish there would have been more for the brother's, even if that came later in the book. The falling action and resolution of the book will leave the reader satisfied with the story, but I would have ultimately liked more about them after the war is over.

Annika Martin's Savage Mafia Prince is unlike any other romance I have read. These characters and their stories will have you sitting on the edge of your seat waiting with bated breath to see how it will all unfold, so if you haven't started this series yet, then do it! Fulfill the prophecy!
