The simplicity of science

Rate this book
In this unusual book Dr. Beck, an American zoologist, has clearly set out the basic concepts of science in terms we can all understand. He explains the logical progress of hypothesis, experiment, observation, theory, and other stages along the path towards the discovery of the nature of things. He presents science, with its tightly-linked chain of reasoning, as a vital tradition of human thought. Above all, he engages our sympathy.
