I really enjoyed this book. I believe this is my favorite book so far in the series. Author Paty is a wonderful writer. Shandra finally accepted her “gift” and never hesitated when her family needs her help. She heads to the reservation to help clear her cousin’s name. Shandra partnered with her another cousin Velma since Velma lived on the reservation to question the people involved. I really enjoyed Shandra and Velma’s investigation, Velma has a big personality which really added to this storyline. Even though Ryan couldn’t be with Shandra, in the beginning, he checks in with her and heads to the reservation as soon as he has time off from work. Ryan and Shandra are good for one another and we finally learn what Ryan has been dealing with from his past. The mystery was great, I kept changing who I thought the murder was as the investigation continued.

I was lucky enough to hear the audio version of this book. Narrator Ann M Thompson is a gifted storyteller. She really brings the story to life. I listened to this book in two days but only because I had to “adult”, I definitely recommend this book to mystery lovers.

I was given a copy of this book in hopes I would give a review. All thoughts and opinions are that of my own and in no way been influenced.

Reservation Revenge, by Paty Jager, is an engaging mystery. It is the sixth book in the Shandra Higheagle Mystery series and while reading the others may give some background to some of the characters, this can easily be read as a stand-alone novel. Shandra is off to the family reservation to help clear a cousin's name and finds herself embroiled in a bed of secrets. Can she unravel them in time to keep her cousin out of prison? There's lots of action and a good murder mystery--one that keeps the reader guessing as to who the culprit is. There are plenty of twists to the plot that help to keep the reader's interest high. I look forward to reading more of this author's works. The narrator, Ann M. Thompson, does a good job giving voice to the characters as she reads the story which made for an enjoyable listening experience. I was given a copy of the audiobook and was not required to write a review. The opinions are my own.

Reservation RevengeIn Reservation Revenge by Paty Jager, Shandra Higheagle wakes up one night from a dream of her grandmother crying and soon gets a phone call from her Aunt Jo, of Shandra’s Native American side of the family. Shandra’s college-age cousin, Coop, has had an arrest warrant made out for him for murder. He went to a party the night before at the local lake. There Arthur Randall, a member of the family that has been feuding with the Higheagles for generations, tried to assault Coop’s girlfriend, Sandy Williams, ripping her shirt open, leading to Coop’s punching Arthur. The next morning, Arthur was found dead, and the police put out a warrant to arrest Coop.

In this 6th book in the series, Shandra finds herself back on the reservation after her Aunt rings her asking for her help, after Coop, Shandra's cousin and Aunt Jo's eldest Son is wanted for murder.

Ryan can't help this time as the tribal police are involved as well as the state police.

Together with Velma, Shandra starts asking questions, which inevitably lead her into trouble, but she gets the answers she's looking for. However, someone from Ryan's past recognises him and this could cause him some trouble!

I really enjoyed this book, as much as I have enjoyed the others in this series.

Artisan Shandra had her Nez Perce heritage kept from her until her paternal grandmother died and visited her in a dream which allowed her to investigate and solve an important murder. Now another family member is involved in a murder complicated by an old feud kept current by some shady people. All is further complicated by the usual rivalry between law enforcement agencies and her own beloved who takes time off from his own police detective job to drive the five hours to the rez and support her. Excellent mystery full of twists and red herrings and suspense. Lots of interesting characters and beautiful country. Don't miss this one! The author is new to me, but I plan to get more of her books!
I won the audio in a giveaway, and the narrator did a fine job.

Shandra gets a call that a cousin is accused of murder, now going once more to support the family. She talks to Cody, with him saying he is innocence, but how to prove. The reservation had a lawyer to represent him, and for Cody to turn himself in. The people of the town are almost like a lynch mob saying he is guilty, no sense looking any further . Ryan is concern, and hoping she will stay out of it. Feeling she has to make up for not being with her family for years, she wants to find the killer, and clear Cody. This was a busy plot, a lot of names and happenings to keep track of. This wasn’t my favorite story of hers. Also I missed not having Ryan more into the story. Overall was a good

This story took me places I wasn’t expecting it to go. It’s a tricky, twisty plot with more double-crosses and deceptions than you can shake a stick at. I loved seeing Shandra embracing her dreaming abilities, as well as being more open about the relationship possibilities between her and Ryan. It was interesting to watch as she navigated an investigation without Ryan to always give her the inside scoop. I’m very interested to see what this pair gets up to next.

The stories are interesting for light reading. The author's first books were very poorly edited, but this one only had one noticeable editing mistake....improving.

I am a great fan of the Shandra Higheagle mystery series and of Pati Jager. I think this is the best book of the series so far. This story has many twists and turns so much so that every time I thought I had it figured out something new popped up and I had to rethink my theory. I can't wait until the next book.

This book offered many interesting characters along with insight into the American Indian culture. I love how Shandra's grandmother comes to her in dreams to help solve these mysteries.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
