Crazy mobster
Selina is one tough cookie. She stands up to the mob and gets kidnapped at taken to be a mate to a tiger mobster. Parker is crazy, obviously. Luckily her brother knew Stone. Stone and Selina have great chemistry and once Selina let's go of her judgemental attitude everything is good. It's hard to understand why Parked was so obseesed though.

This was a number one, fantastic read. I absolutely loved the fast pace and all the action. I really liked that Selina was smart and used her head to her advantage through all the trouble that ended up following her. Stone is the kind of book boyfriend I could enjoy. I recommend this heartily.

After not liking the first book I didn’t pick up the box set for ages.
Tidying up I gave it another go and have to say book 2 was quite entertaining. Just had too many gender grammar errors for my reading enjoyment, her instead of him etc.

I absolutely adored this book and it is definitely worthy of more than five stars! I was given this book to review in exchange for a free review and I am so glad that I did, I love Anya Nowlan's writing! She is so so talented!
This book has an amazing storyline! It is a very exciting and thrilling book that gives you moments of many emotions...There is love, hate, hope, trust, loyalty and revenge which makes this book truly an obsessive page turner, i hardly got any sleep last night as i couldn't stop reading this book, just wanted to find out what happens next! I really loved where the storyline went, the beginning eased into the characters and the story built up speed and just kept on going, filling it with thrilling adrenaline moments all throughout the book right up until the last chapter.
Selina comes across to me as such a pure soul, she has an inner light and confidence. She is able to adapt to situations so well she is definitely a surprise, then of course you have the ex-seal Stone ho can take on any situation, and does willingly, loving the adrenaline rush especially when a friend has asked for help, to me this shows how big his heart is when he lets someone in. He is extremely adaptable and feels that he can control anything, that is until he finds his mate.
Anya Nowlan is able to write in a way that calls you into the worlds that she has created, there is a feeling of hope throughout the whole book by the way it is written. You fall into it and don't want come back out! This is a serious page turner and a compelling and compulsive read! Such an amazing book, i am craving for more!!!

This storyline is fascinating and is very emotional with a little twist on how the characters meet. The flow of words is so great and the pace of the story is just right. Rory and Anya is truly gifted, very creative and talented. The Lessons in Purrsuasion: BBW Paranormal Werelion Surprise Pregnancy Mob Romance Chicago Catastrophe by Anya Nowlan, Rory Dale is Magnificent and very Well Written as all of their books are. I enjoyed this storyline so much I couldn't put my tablet down. But from the first page to the last I was memorized. The characters are engaging, fabulous and fantastic. The dialogue is passionate, realistic, and you will love the interaction between the main characters, the chemistry is scorching hot and they leap off the page with life that's so real. The scenes description are vivid, beautiful picturesque and dynamic with lots passion. This is a another great story from these ladies and I must tell you about their awesome world building, character development and the other parts, this storyline has a great depth, I loved stories about Tigers and other big cats. There always has to be some bad elements to make us fully appreciate the hero and heroine this one is no exception! I am in awe of how Stone Calloway character holds his own! I can't think of any other story that has a Tiger like his and that is truly a great thing! My one most favorite trait of a shifters is the ability in which the human and animal sides converse, interact with their different personalities and how they co-exist together! Rory and Anya has not only done this but has done it so FANTASTICALLY!! Because there is this miscommunication between Selina and Stone she doesn't trust him. These characters are unique they aren't like any of the hundreds of shifter books I have read over the years! So naturally, it was one of the two main qualities that had me so intrigued and captivated by this storyline! This is fascinating book that I am very much enthralled with ALL of it! The love that was flowing between Stone and Selina is eventually very tender & beautiful, everything is romantic but not too over-the-top for me. In fact I am very impressed with how this story-telling and content is very captivating. I can't wait to read more of Rory and Anya books! It's obvious to me that they have a truly awesome amount of talent and after you read this story, I think you will agree with me!

Lions, Tigers, and good girls....oh my!!!!
Stone is a former Navy SEAL trying to overcome his recent career choice. Leave it behind and start anew, that is what he is thinking is happening. He should have known better. He is a lion shifter and a hottie! He receives a very frantic call from a former military buddy. He is being asked to play detective/rescuer of this buddy's sister. Taken by another shifter, a high up the chain of thugs/mafia gang shifter. Stone will not turn down his buddy, even though he really is not wanting to pick up his old habits and ways just for this. That is until he sees her and it is paws down going to happen, and he will rescue her.
Selina is just a bakery owner (along with her brother and parents) in a quaint little town. She is just wanting to get inside her place and relax after a long day of work. However, that is not what is going to happen to her. She senses something isn't right but by the time she is able to respond she is taken. Next thing she remembers is being at a strange place out in the middle of nowhere and strange men holding her at gunpoint, threatening her. She is scared and angry. What the ....what is happening? Now she is being whisked to a luxury place and to this dangerous brooding guy??? All because her family said no to giving money to the mafia gang? This can't be happening. Oh, but it is....and it gets better.
After a few days of being held up by this Parker (mob gang lieutenant) guy in his luxury place, he lays a big "bomb" on her of what his exact intentions are. He is a tiger shifter (if you read the first book in this series you would understand the tiger shifter heat explanation) and he is going into heat.....oh boy. Selina is a prisoner but with some freedoms, not her choice freedoms but some nonetheless. Parker expects her to dine with him, and basically become his. Selina is refusing and Parker is not going to take no for an answer. She needs a knight in shining armor to rescue her from this crazy man.
Stone saw her, and his lion knew she was his lions peace and calm, funny how that happens, isn't it? Now he is on the rescue mission of a lifetime. He is a guns blazing, no bars hold kind of a guy, which in this case is exactly the only way he can rescue her. He does go in for the kill, literally and figuratively speaking. Does he rescue her in time though?? How does he get her out of there and to safety without her freaking out and running from him too? Can he tell her what he is knowing what she has had thrown at her just recently?
Selina is rescued by a very handsome, gorgeous man. But she has reminders of the lack of patience the last guy had. Do not for one minute believe Stone misses that. Just adding to the anger and retaliation this Parker has coming to him. Stone gets her away from one danger but what twists and turns await them from here? There are some pretty good ones too. Once her family knows Stone has her, there are secrets revealed to her, some sprung on her and some sort of explained and then revealed deeper as the situations play out. Can Selina trust him? Does the lion and the girl fight their attraction the entire time? Is she going to stand up and be stronger than she ever thought she could? Does beauty and the beast get a happy ever after?
You will really need to read this book, it is very very riveting and hard to set down once you start it. It is not a long drawn out book, and many characters throughout but never so much to get lost or lose track of who is coming or going. It is an absolute must read and totally AWESOME. I will say you do not have to read the first book in this series to follow with this book at all. Although I want to add, you should just because of how good they both are!

This book jumps into the action pretty much and manages to capture your interest. I would have liked to see more about the beginning escalation that led to the kidnapping before jumping in but it didn't really take from the book. The relationship between heroine and hero was quite interesting given the weird circumstances they were in. I did enjoy the twists in the book and feel this book is for mature audiences. I am an independent reviewer for Romance Authors That Rock and am giving this book 4 hearts.

They made it so she had to close her business and now she was forced into doing massages for the enemy, the Crimson Claw. He thought he had a bargaining chip when he took her but he found out she was just a causality of their greed. Now they are working together to bring down the enemy and keep her safe.

3.5 Stars - This was a quick read. Stone is an ex Navy Seal and hitman who has been hired by his good friend who has a big problem. His sister has been kidnapped by a Chicago shifter gang. Stone is on the prowl.
Selina has been kidnapped by thugs when her family refuses to pay a fee for having their bakery. One if the thugs is infatuated with her. She is taken a back by her rescuer.
There was too much going on with the bad guys. It took away from the Romance portion for me. I wanted more romance.

Lessons in Purrsuasion is a great read! I enjoyed reading this book from the very first page. This book includes shifters, the mob, violence, murder, kidnapping, mating and a whole lot of other things. This reader enjoyed reading about each and every one of these things. Selena and Stone provide a lot of reading enjoyment throughout this story. I will definitely be recommending it to others!

Being retired at 30 had not been in Stone’s plans, but now Joe is asking for his help. While trying to stand up to the Crimson Claws, Selina is kidnapped and taken to Parker; rather than killing her, he tells her she is to be his mate. Stone tracks down Selina and rescues her but all too soon someone is on their trail. Kate, Stone’s ex-girlfriend, is the only one he can turn to for help. Selina has suddenly and unceremoniously been introduced to a world she is not sure she wants any part of, and the only way out is through the same people who both intrigue and scare her. All Selina knows about Stone is that he used to be her brother’s friend in the Navy and he is a hitman; he has also risked his life to save her from Parker and she couldn’t deny the intoxicating affect he has on her; she is drawn to a violent, dangerous man, who she has known for a matter of days, not realising she is his mate. Parker is relentless in his pursuit of Selina; his reputation with the Crimson Claws is on the line, so he elicits Kate’s help in finding Stone and Selina. Richard is in love with Kate and makes a tough call to protect her, but instead only implicates her and his actions have consequences. Stone has a plan, but for it to work it all hinges on the element of surprise. Parker has the upper hand because he has the Crimson Claws backing him up, but his obsession with Selina will be his eventual downfall. This was an intriguing, well-written shifter story and one which I thoroughly enjoyed reading. It had lots of twists and turns that made it exciting and engaging throughout. Selina us in alot of trouble. She pays the price of her family standing up to the Crimson Claws clan. His protectiveness for her is so lovely and her fierceness to be her own person and not be a damsel in distress is admiring. Kate well she is one woman you would not want to get on the wrong side of but has a gentle side too. I can't help but feel bad for Richard, I know he made a stupid decision and he brought it on himself. But still feel bad for him. The things you do for love.

A very awesome read just love Anya Nowlans books she just grabs you and ensnares you and you do not want to put the books down this is the second books and it just wants to keep up the series can't wait until the next book in the series she just keeps getting better and better.

This is turning out to be a great series! This book is full of excitement and nail-biting moments, plus some very steamy scenes. Stone and Selina are attracted to each other immediately, but both try to fight it. However, when the chemistry is this hot, there is no way to fight it. After lots of sexual innuendo, they give in and it is quite hot. But, someone desires Selina and that same someone wants to kill Stone. Will they survive?
This was a great read, very entertaining with lots of drama including 3 kidnappings of Selina and hiding out with an ex-girlfriend. It was a really enjoyable book. Selina is very feisty and Stone is totally alpha, which makes for some great entertainment and fireworks. I would recommend this book for sure!

This is a rollicking action packed love story. Selina works for her family's bakery. The mob starts demanding money from the local businesses, but when her family refuses, she is kidnapped as a lesson. But the mobster who kidnapped her decides not to kill her, but take her for his mate. Selena's brother hires Stone, a former navy seal to get her back. What follows is a wild ride as Stone and Selena try to hide from the mob. But the mob keeps finding them, and Stone has to continually get her back. While being hunted they fall in love, and Selena goes from being terrified, to standing up for herself and helping Stone take down the crazy infatuated mobster. This book just flows from one adventure to another for Stone and Selena, as they fight for their lives, not knowing who they can trust. I couldn't put the book down.

If you like mobsters, heroes, shifters,kidnapping this is definitely for you. Even if you don't this standalone story set in Chicago is a wonderful read. It grabbed my interest from the start and didn't let go.

What a ride
What do you get when you have a bounty on your head, unsuspecting mate, multiple kidnappers, a tiger shifter who is an lieutenant in the Crimson Claw mob (financial Laundry), throw in a surprise pregnancy and robots it off an ex girlfriend who happens to a hit woman? You get the story of Stone Calloway. I think that about sums it up in a nutshell without spilling the story. I was given this as an ARC but of course I brought the book. I so love the collaboration with Anya and Rory. I could not stop ready it. Oh yeah! Did I forget a bakery? It was a rollercoaster of a story. Wow! This book was a thrill ride from the beginning. Stone Calloway receives a call from an old friend needed his help to rescue his kidnapped sister. She's been taken by a shifter gang that's taken over the city.
Selina knew there would be retaliation for her family not paying the gang but she never thought they would kill anyone. Now that they have her she's either dies or worse. Worse has come when top lieutenant Parker wants to keep her.
Stone is so James Bond. He rescues Selina but they had no ideal that Parker is determined to have her.
It just gets more exciting as the book on. Gun battles, betrayal and fights galore.

So her brother (joe) called a friend. Stone Calloway he is a lion shifter, ex hitman and ex navy seal. He use to live for action but now he is out of that life style. Only thing was Joe needed him, seems the crimson claw took his little sister. When he and his lion see her it's for keeps.
Wow awesome action on this one great storyline and awesome characters. It had me at the edge of my seat and I couldn't put it down. Shifter fans and mob fans this one is for you.

they did it again! The Chicago Catastrophe series is off and running. Full stories without cliffs. Lessons in Purrsuasion has a sexy male lead, two strong women, shifters galore, kidnappings, mayhem, murder, mystery, romance, and love...pretty much a cornucopia of everything! The story flows fast and smooth. The characters are well developed and believable. Throughly enjoyed and highly recommend!

Perfect book
This book has it all action,drama,military men,strong women,lions ,tigers and did I mention cars hmm. This book has it all wild romance,a mafia like plot. Strong heroines who are true fighters when the going gets tough. A villain who thinks might makes right but finds there is always someone stronger or bigger. I am sure interested to see the x in her own book. This is definitely a must read couldn't put it down.

Lessons in Purrsuasion is my first book from this author and I wasn't disappointed. I really enjoyed the fast pace of this book and action.
One thing that did kind of annoy me about this book though was the fact there was so much fast pace action going on Stone and Selina didn't really get to know each other. She knew the basics about him and knew that if her brother trusted him then she could as well.

Don't let the soft title fool you. There's not much soft in this book. It's hard edged and fierce. Stone is a killer with a softer side tho and he goes against impossible odds to save the girl. There's mobsters and then there's stone. One man against an army and he fights hard. Action packed and fast paced. It takes you on a rollercoaster. Even though you know there will be a happy ending you can't see how. Great read.

An ARC was given to me for an honest review. A friend needs help, so of course, he's going to help him. She's been taken from her family because they stood up for themselves. She's supposed to have been killed but the creepy tiger shifter changed his mind. This is an intense entertaining read. Enjoy I did.

Crimson claw is at it again in the second book of the series. Action packed with a heavy dose of sexy Shifter saving his mate. I love the story line that the authors have thought up for this series and can not wait to read more. I was given a free ARC copy of this story in exchange for an honest review

There was action right out the gate with this store and it was none stop the entire time. The characters were very engaging and you can't help but to get drawn into their world. I read the entire thing in one go, sitting on the edge of my seat the entire time.
