No one knew how or where the end of the world started.DESPERATION begins seven days after the fall of humanity.

Running blind and fighting for their lives, Ethan, Griffin and the others are once again faced with impossible odds as well as a familiar foe. Will they have the strength to do what’s necessary or has this new world taken away their will to survive?

Back to the West Coast, we follow Emma and Tom as the comfortable new existence they’ve come to enjoy, begins to rapidly deteriorate. We also meet a new character that has his sights set on destroying everything and everyone he comes into contact with. But what are his real motives?

Over a thousand miles away, we catch up with our old friends Marcus Goodwin and James Dalton. We follow along as their trip from Colorado to California has more than a few unexpected delays. How will the man who ended the world fare against his own creation?

This is DESPERATION… There is no going back.

Family matters! Ethan's group of survivors is quickly becoming his new family.

Back in time little ways we see how and why Ethan gets involved with BXF Technologies and his relationship with Sister. Family and especially his Sister Emma have always been important to Ethan and when Ethan's group of survivors tell him that they are sticking together with him to go find Emily they quickly become his extended family. Finding a way to safely get his real family (if they survived) and his new extended family members out of the city alive is not going to be easy!

And Emma is stuck out on the west coast alone with major problems of her own.

Another Gripping Zom-poc Tale!

Action, zombies, love, bad guys, plot twists, amazingly realistic characters (plus some real nutty ones!) make all of Jeff Olah's interlocking series absolutely engrossing reads. Always start at book one, but start with any series - each can stand alone but are fun to put together later. I have a few more to read, so this is a shortie review... Ethan just exited the back door alone and I must keep up...

ENJOY! Top notch apocalyptic storytelling here, don't miss out!

Excellent story.

I really like the characters in this story. Some are a bit impulsive, but they try to do what's best. The main bad guy is only out for what he can gain, and doesn't care how he gets there. This is an intense tale and I look forward to the next installment.

Continuing the chase to get to California for his sister, Ethan has turned into an idiot. Following the plot is getting a little dreary. Will continue onto #4 and hope it piques my interest again.

Jeff Olah never disappoints

Excellent series. Could not put it down. I don't believe he has ever written a book that I was disappointed in. Lots of action and story line. As always anxiously awaiting the next

Continuing on an awesome series!

I loved how it takes you into 3 different stories. One with Ethan, one with Emma, and one with Marcus Goodwin. The book was suspenseful just like the previous books. Can't wait for the 4th book!

Is this supposed to be a YA type book?

Okay.. I have read 3 of these and don't think I can go any further. Too much attention to insignificant details and not enough character development. Could use some realistic adult language a get and perhaps a b I t of sex.

Skip this series

The plot is pretty good but the story is full of shallow undeveloped characters. Olah puts forth a good effort but his writing talent is clearly lacking. The story plods along even during action sequences and you never really care about the characters

Good book. I read a lot about the Apocalypse whether it be zombies, EMP or financial crisis and Jeff is at the top of my favorite authors.
