Where do I begin? This book is not an original, that is true. Lilah's character is childish. Asher is a sweet guy, who has his own doubts but faces a great deal of emotional downhill for Lilah. The story at the beginning was normal, I agree the pace of the story was boring. But then in the middle when the characters were bonding over conflicts, I enjoyed it greatly. But was it really necessary to bring in Brendan? Another billionaire mogul like Asher who has his eyes set on Lilah- also he is as handsome as Asher. I am really tired of this body specific men in stories. Lilah ignored Asher after having sex with him in Paris and goes out with Brendan- even though he made her uncomfortable from the very beginning of their acquaintance- this is really out of Lilah's character who is a person who speaks her mind and does not deal with negative companies. I don't blame Asher because he is the one taking sound minded decisions, by constantly communicating with Lilah. Well, at the end Lilah exposes Brendan for stealing data from Asher's company and justice is served. Lilah and Asher have sex and Lilah becomes pregnant but she hides it all from Asher as he said he does not want children. I dare say, Twilight and its fanfiction Fifty Shades really has set a generic tempo to stories like these. The guy does not want a baby, the girl gets pregnant anyway. So she ignores him again, even though he tried his best to contact her and understand what was compelling her to take such drastic decisions. And when Asher finally is strong enough to leave Lilah and move on with his life, he finds her in her office in a pool of blood. They get to the hospital and Asher finds out she is pregnant. We skip to three years later without seeing how these two got to see past their problems, we don't get to see how they managed to prepare for another new life.

Sorry for the harsh comment but, when writing a story-regardless of the genre- build up the conflicts and the emotions in the story. the whole ordeal was repetitive and I skimmed through paragraphs to ensure I knew what was the ending.

I just couldn't keep reading.

Wow- this book is far too verbose. Structurally, the narrative doesn't flow and just rambles on and on and on....I couldn't take anymore. I couldn't even get through the first book (although why there are four more of these crammed in here, I'll never know). Each time a character began to speak, it was literally a three paragraph diatribe at which point I kept imagining someone getting out their soap box before their conversational "speech" and running out of oxygen in the process. Either that or short, stilted redundant replies.
Writing style aside- it was just plain BORING. Period. Nothing happens. The characters were extremely bland and despite the premise, there was absolutely no chemistry in what is suppose to be a character-focused romance.

Lilah's boss is one sexy as sin billionaire... Meet Asher Sinclair, Yum!

This is my first time reading a book by Claire Adams, but it won't be my last.

Sleeping with my boss is about a sexy Alpha male ,billionaire, Asher and hard working, ambitious, Lilah who unknowingly destroys an ad campaign by the sexy CEO.

Asher being impressed rather than pissed, offers Lilah a promotion and from there, the chemistry between the two is explosive. Except, their hesitancy for being in a relationship and Ashers company possibly sinking doesn't help matters between these two.

What will happen when Lilah sleeps with her boss? Find out in Sleeping with my boss!

Adam’s appears to have a good following but, I’m sorry, I just don’t see what the fascination is. Once again, this story dragged on, the plot was formulaic and the text full of editing errors. The characters, as in all of Adam’s books that I have read, spend their time drinking way too much and, usually, It’s only when drunk they let down the barriers and have sex. This is not healthy. In one chapter, Adam’s had Lilah drinking Long Island Iced Teas and then going out snorkelling and jet skiing.
The story was also repetitive. Two of the sex scenes began in the same manner, with Lilah deciding to take control because she felt that Asher usually had the power and he needed to know how it felt to be told what to do. Frankly, it was not sexy; she just came over as bitchy. Each was addressed as though it was the first time it happened. Additionally, each time they had sex, they would wake to a problem, and one would leave. With no communication, they would then not talk for weeks and the relationship would return to nothing… until they went drinking again. Both were incredibly immature and neither was ready to be in a relationship.
I have given Adam’s a chance and have now read several of her books, I don’t think I will be reading any more.

Didn’t really like the main character, Lilah.
Loved Asher though.
Only 2 stars because I felt like I was reading a fan fiction or something. Many grammatical mistakes and chapters where it was supposed to be Lilah’s pov but it was Ashers’s and the other way around.
When they found Brendon confessed his crime and mentioned the secretary being in on it, there was no mention of it afterwards and the story continued on like nothing happened. Only a slight mention later on of a new secretary.
And sushi… when pregnant?

Disappointing endings

Adams builds these great characters and stories. You're right there with her up to the climax of the story. And the next chapter is the epilogue. How was it resolved? I was left hanging and not satisfied, which is too bad because her characters are interesting.

Exciting

I really enjoyed the book and all the ones added in. Ms. Adams is an excellent writer with a beautiful mind for intriguing detail of putting the reader into the story as if you were at the scene. This is not the first book of hers I've read and I eagerly await the next.

Way to wordy

These books were way to wordy, drawn out and repetitive. There were lots of errors too. Characters were not developed very well and storylines were here, there and everywhere. They rambled and repeated so many times I lost interest. Not a fan.

A Great Read!

Really great read. The chemistry between Asher and Lilah was irresistible.
I enjoyed the storyline, and it kept my interest.
Asher was the boss you couldn't resist. He was talented, intellectual, driven, and charismatic; not to mention gorgeous. Lilah was a go getter, fiery, smart, and a beautiful irresistible new advertising team member Asher had hired to assist him on an account that had taken a nosedive in recent sells.
Throughout the story the two grew closer professionally and their feelings grew stronger.
When something happens to the company that threatens its security, it causes Asher to question Lilah's loyalty. In enters one of the boss's main enemies. Trust me; things get tense.
By this time they have mixed both business with pleasure and Lilah's distant behavior along with the company she's keeping hasn't helped.
Doubts swirl throughout, loyalties get tested and emotions are on high alert.
Jealous and angry, Asher pushes blame for the failure of an account on Lilah during a meeting with everyone present, what follows....didn't see that one coming did you Asher?
Another character in the book I fell in love with was Lilah's brother Eddie, a musician/singer. His character played a medium size roll in the scope of things, but made a huge impact. He was awesome.
I loved the story and I highly recommend the book.

I voluntarily received this book as an ARC from the author.

Another great book by Ms Adams. We have Lilah an up and coming PR maven. Then we have Asher, a hot young billionaire who just happens to own the PR firm that Lilah is working for.

Lilah gives a presentation to the PR team about the boss's latest campaign and doesn't pull any punches. But what she doesn't realize is that Asher is sitting incognito in the audience and he's impressed. Asher offers Lilah her dream position on his top level team.

There is a lot of baggage that comes with Asher. He's used to women just seeing his bank balance. He still has the lingering demons from his father's past over his head and the death of his mother. Lilah's come out of a very bad breakup so she's got her own too.

Will these two be able to work together and work past all these issues? The chemistry is electric between these two but Lilah is a very career driven and stubborn woman.

Can it work for them in the end?

Asher is a billionaire CEO who likes his privacy, when looking for someone to help with his ad campaign, that's where he meets Lilah. Lilah wants to make a name for herself and works really hard. Lilah nails the campaign which Asher knew she would. They can't deny the attraction and one drunken kiss changes everything. Both have past and it seems it brings them together but Lilah doesn't want anyone to think sleeping with the boss got her to where she is. But when Asher's rival tries to bring down his company, its Lilah who gets stuck in the middle. With keeping her feelings back will Asher wait for Lilah?

This book as really good at first. I loved the story line, and it kept me interested. However, in the end it just ended then went to 3 years later. Everyone knows that on a romance book, they all pretty much have a girl meets boy, boy/girl hook up, boy/girl disagree, boy/girl get back together. We this book has all of those things, but in the end it kind of skips how they worked it out to get back together. I missed that part. In my mind, I needed to know what he said/she said to make it ok for them to continue the relationship. But other than the quick ending, it was a wonderful book.

I've read some of the story's in this set but I got tired in the end.
I liked the story's but I didn't get the wow feelings so it ended there. The writing style is good and the characters are well described so it's a good enough book.
Maybe it's just me, I'm getting to demanding after reading so many books that it's going to take a special book to get me exited.
Still I recommend this if you like heroes and heroines, romance and a little erotic and some action.

Me, I'm putting this on my not finished shelf.

Claire Adams has not let me down yet. You'll want to read her books. This book includes four more stories written by her and Alexa Davis. First bonus book is called Billionaires Flight with Austin and Emily. Second bonus book is called Billionaire SEAL with Ryan and Echo. Third bonus book is called Billionaires Trust with Dax and Brooke. The last bonus book is called Law of Seduction with Adam and Alicia.

This book had twist & turns I didn't see coming. It was hilarious how Asher & Lilah kept pushing each other away. That Brendan guy was a real psycho. I am glad this book had an HEA ending. The chemistry between these two could be felt while reading this book.

Romance in the office

If you like an easy read with just the right amount of spice this should fill the bill. Claire always makes fun and always gives us characters we can care about.

Mediocre

This is just a fairly generic romance story with nothing particularly interesting or exciting happening. The bonus books are all far better with much more interesting content and are therefore the better reads and boost the rating.

A must read!

Asher Sinclair is not your typical billionaire! After a meeting Lilah finds out just that. He has a big heart and tends to show her but obstacles get in their way, I'm not a spoiler so read this wonderful book to find out!

Read as part of "The Boss Box Set"
This isn't  a sleazy story, but more an independent  woman  trying  hard to  make it to  the  top of her profession, without  the  leg up of a Boss that was truly infatuated  with her.   A compelling read!

I enjoyed the beginning of series more than end. The drug dealer and lawyer seemed far fetched! Overall, it was good.

Very intriguing character study of two wounded people and how they make decisions about what they are and are not willing to sacrifice and what their priorities are. I really liked how the author painted their vulnerabilities without making the characters seem weak or like saps. The things keeping them apart were realistically written though the final precipitating events got too cliche...a disappointment in a book that had mostly avoided that. Also the male main character's reaction was not at all realistic given events that happened earlier in the book. That title is a poor choice...makes the book sound more trite than it is.
