The wedding’s a week away, and the princess has prepared herself to wed the duke. Mostly. But unbeknownst to Violet, they won’t spend their wedding night alone. In order to safeguard the royal bloodlines, marriage consummations are witnessed by an audience of Hastings councilmen and their wives. Can Violet make it through the trying ordeal with her newly improved manners intact? Can her husband use his disciplinary prowess and sensual finesse to guide her to ecstasy? This five-chapter novelette invites readers to enjoy the happily ever after—Thomas and Violet’s courtship, their wedding and bedding, and the morning after, when the newly married couple find themselves alone—and bonded—at last.

This was book 2 in the "Royal Discipline" Violet is nervous about the marriage to His Grace Thomas she doesn't know if she can be married to a man that wants to spank her nightly. While on a walk Thomas learns that Violet has lost her temper with one of the maids and she wants pleasure herself so plays with her to help her. As the wedding is near she starts having her doubts and on the day of the wedding Jeannie her maid from His Grace's house comes to help her. As the wedding takes place at the wedding feast Thomas realizes that no has told Violet about what is going to happen on the wedding night. The wedding night has to be viewed by the council because Violet is a Princess her father or anyone else has told her anything about sex and she was not happy to have all the people watching. This was a good short quick read. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I wish this book was longer or had a part 3
Short story, continues book 1. Undisciplined h, spoiled and rude but the H tames her with nightly spankings. This book is about their wedding, and how he plans their future. He's not putting up with her awful behaviour. The title tells it all, steamy, entertaining fun.
I was a little cross about this because this and Royal Discipline should be one story not two short stories.
What I liked was the way it reverted to historical wedding nights where our virgin princess is lacking in knowledge regards the whole wedding night connubial act...but with the added kink for voyeurs of witnessing the consummation of the marriage. History tells us that royals and aristocracy across Europe had to have witnesses, though usually outside the bed chamber or bed curtains but then the evidence of virginity, the bloodied sheets were hung out for all to see. How embarrassing! Humiliation even now if it were done, but imagine you are ignorant of the act of sex and loss of your virginity, even more humiliation added to the wedding night!
If this was one whole story and the issues of Princess and Duke using language relevant to their class, I would be happy with 4 stars across the two parts. However, the split into parts and as is I can only give 3 - 3.5 stars.
We get a bit more, a little glimpse to show that Violet is still Violet and His Grace is still the same. We knew these two would be explosive once they were married and they did not disappoint!
All's well that ends well and a wedding is the best ending you could wish for....but who did Violet end up marrying? Is it his Grace, the Duke of Thornton?? And what happens during the wedding night, will all be well? Loved this little gem following the Royal Discipline!
Thomas and Violet have the royal wedding and bedding that is expected of all heirs to the throne of Hastings. Violet is kept in the dark and has not idea what is to take place so Thomas guides her through the 'performance' on The Royal Wedding Night.
Violet discovers a side of Thomas that she didn't realize when she went to his Manor for corrective discipline and in the end they return home to begin their life together. This was a nice ending to the first part of the story in the first book.
Aggghhh. Why did I this when I hated the first one? Because it was free and I SO wanted it to be better! Again, the cruddy man didn't even say he loved her! I dont care about the wedding night..mi care that the author didn't even take the time to make me care about the Duke or the princess's father. They were both horrible and no feeling characters. I LIKE regency romances and the like and I LOVE BDSM. This was neither and just plain horrible. I felt really really sorry for the woman!

I suppose the reader should read the first novels to be ready for this one. Everything was fast and short. It didn't give much time for the acceptance of romance . It was more like an animal breeding event. This isn't my kind of book. I prefer a more natural build of love and respect, and characters that have substance.
Violet and Thomas finally have their wedding and the much anticipated wedding night. They must couple in front of at least a dozen attendees but they perform with much pleasure. I loved this quick finale of Royal Discipline.
This book was very necessary after reading the first Royal Discipline...it was lovely to read how he not only showed his discipline side but his love and affection.
I wish it were a little longer. I would have liked to see Violet and the Duke adjusting to marriage. It was awesome to see the fulfillment of the promise at the end of the first book nonetheless.
She's been beaten into submission and now she must wed her jailor. What's a princess to do but fall head over heels in love with her duke. Spicy little story.
Just like the title says, it was a steamy read starting with the betrothal, wedding then the wedding night and a start of our characters life as married couples.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review....
Wedding, spanking, and, goodbyes. Violet must come to terms with the fact that she is going to marry the Duke. Will she have spankings daily now or was that just during her training? Will he expose her skirts again Oh my? He was an exacting disciplinarian. In this Novella Annabel really captures her panic and fears even when her friend from the Duke's house show's up. Nothing can calm her. It is very well done. The Duke himself is the only one who seems able to get her under control. Will there be a wedding?
Beautiful written story as always your readers can only want more. Warning her storytelling can become very addictive and all you want is to read them all the time. Enjoy D.H. from New York City
