Tami has played the fool one too many times and has had just about enough of her cheating husband’s promises. When her husband of four years, Messiah, brings home a baby that doesn't belong to her, Tami had to admit that her current relationship status is toxic. While she feels that her world has been turned upside down, Tami chooses to stand by her man and is determined to make her relationship work. When the lies and disrespect become too much for even Tami to bear, will she find comfort in the arms of someone else?
Envy is a man that many women desire, but the one who has caught his interest belongs to someone else. When Envy and Tami have a chance encounter, he is disappointed to learn that she is married, but neither can deny the growing attraction that they feel for each other. The only thing is that Envy is not a patient man, and Tami is determined to continue to be there for her husband, although she knows he doesn’t deserve it.
Messiah is learning a little too late that the grass is not always greener on the other side. He’s taken his wife for granted for many years, but he always thought she’d continue to have his back. When his biggest secret comes to light, Messiah has to admit that he may have lost Tami for good.
Caught between two men, Tami is forced to make a decision. Who will she choose when her head and her heart are leading her in two different directions? Will Envy be content to continue to sit on the sidelines while Tami makes her decision, or will he find someone who isn’t afraid to admit that she wants him as much as he wants her? Will Messiah be able to convince Tami that he’s a changed man and the mistakes of his past won’t continue to affect their future? Or will Tami finally realize that in this dangerous game of life, the only person she can truly count on is herself?
This was a good read, but I swear Tami was pissing me off. Every time u looked up somebody was doing her wrong, only for her to turn around and do something good for them. I really hope everything works out for her and Envy.
Woo child tami couldn’t win for losing. Messiah and Envy both spreading there oats. Tami good cause I don’t know if I would be able to forgive as easily ass her !!
This book was a decent read.... but I just kept waiting for the plot to thicken, but it never did! I am however going to read part 2 just to see if Olivia is really pregnant by Envy or what. Also anxious to see whether Tami and Envy take their relationship to the next level
It was a good read. Tami has a heart of gold oh my goodness I know I couldn't have been the bigger person like she was. It makes her appear weak but to me it shows her strength. I can't wait to see what happens in part 2. There are so many questions. What happened to Rema? Is Olivia really pregnant by Envy? Will Envy and Tami stay together? We shall see.
I cannot stand Tammi. She's so weak and pathetic. She lets everyone walk over her. Just dumb. I have no respect for her and she obviously has none for herself. Sad what some women put up with in the name of "love"
This was a well written story with a good storyline. Tami seemed to give a little too much though. There was just the right amount of drama and I looked forward to the sequel.
