Always in the mood for a sweet and deliciously naughty tale. I had become somewhat hopelessly addicted to Alexa Riley unique brand of pure smut and cheesy love stories. Roping The Virgin was a satisfying read that brought a sunny smile to my face. Need I say more?

5 FULL ON FAMILY STARS
"The thought of another woman only pisses me off. I already have one. I've had her from the moment I saw her. She's the only woman who exists for me."
These are swoon worthy thoughts that our hero Blake has about the heroine Luciana.
Now the story is simple with the hero wanting to "rope" his woman in. He will stop at nothing to get her to see that they belong together. He even learns to speak Spanish in order for their children to keep their heritage. Wow just no words for that level of devotion.
The heroine is fascinated by the hero but scared to show him how she feels. She feels:
" I'd always has a small crush on Blake, which is why I avoided him, thinking nothing could come of it."
Life and circumstances insures that these two come together.
They have a lot in common with their close families and their shared love of animals.
Now I know some may b*tch that this book is mostly smut and as such it has no literary value. And those people should really STOP reading Alexa Riley books.
Honestly, by now most people know that when you pick up her books, IT IS GOING TO BE MOSTLY SMUT. It would be like going to a Mexican restaurant and expecting Italian food.
NOT GOING TO HAPPEN HERE PEOPLE.
Personally, I don't read her books in order to engage in a philosophical debate on current events or the merits of one type of government over the other.
Honestly, I read her books cause they are hot smut and they get my motor running.
So if you want a story with fears and tears, you have come to the wrong place.
Safety: Guys let's be honest here, it's Alexa Riley so it's totally safe with both virgins and no OW/OM drama.
Recommend and keeper for me.

The second book in the “Cowboys and Virgins” series and this time the second brother, Blake Jennings, is in the spotlight.
Blake is secretly in love with Luciana who has started working at his farm as a training vet. Blake really cares for his animals and their love for animals will bring Blake and Luciana closer.
Unfortunately (for Blake) Luciana loves her family (her father, sister and sister’s children) too much and she does not want to abandon them. Blake will find the perfect solution for her little problem.
Their story is mostly sweet and less smutty in comparison to most of Alexa Riley’s books.
“I love you, Luciana. I have since the second we locked eyes. Everything I’ve been telling you I want, it’s all been about you. All of it. The life I want out here, making babies, and raising them with you. Having beautiful girls with long dark hair that I can braid. Having little boys with your big brown eyes learning to care for the animals here. All of it, mi alma. All of it with you.”
Two more mysteries are starting in this book and they steal a lot of space from Blake and Luciana’s story:
1. Who is Dolly’s soon-to-be-baby daddy? Dolly is the Jennings’ little sister.
2. What is Trace hiding? Trace is the Jennings’s little brother.
There will be a nice ending for Blake and Luciana and a nice epilogue with babies one year later.

SMOKING HOT COWBOY.... Need I say more?!
Because, honestly who can resist an OTT alpha wearing a cowboy gear like it's his second skin, with equal amounts of dirty talk as sweet and loving words??? Not me, that's for sure. And just when I thought Blake couldn't be any more perfect, he drops the bomb about his past (you'll have to read to find out) !!! WOW
The heroine was fantastic too. Smart, sassy and with the perfect amount of independent and family oriented streak, she was great, but I was a almost bit too busy drooling over the hero, to notice much else.
It's your own fault! Ladies, you are taking the heroes on the romantic literary world to an impossible high standard, and I'm freakin' loving it!!!
I couldn't have devoured this sweet and scorching little read fast enough, and I'm already counting down the days to the next sexy cowboy to land on my kindle!!!<3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Smut, smut, smut!!! AR sure knows how to write it. This story is super sweet with an OTT but cute and understanding (virgin) alpha cowboy who patiently waits for his moment to claim his spanish woman, a vet in the making. The first half of the book is pure sugar and then in the second half we finally get the dirty parts and some loving. I really liked the plot and how it all turned out in the end, especially since we kinda get the plot and characters for the next story. I'm not sure about the fourth book, since the hero seems to be a manho but I think since it is AR after all and judging by the title for the fourth book, I think I'm going to like that story, too.
As said, I liked the main characters, both know how to get what they want and know when the timing is right to take it. The fact that the heroine is from a spanish family should tell you a lot about her personality. Big family with a big heart. I wasn't totally in board with how close they were at the end, since I do like my independence a lot but for this story it kinfa worked great.
All in all, this is another great AR book with lots of fun and smut and the readers will not be disappointed.

Though I will admit that this one felt like it was missing something for me, I did enjoy seeing this new side of the usually playful and relaxed Blake. He loved to mess with his brother in the first book. This time, Luciana has him tied up in knots. The premise of the tale, in typical AR fashion, was largely far fetched and OTT but still cute enough to hit us in that special place we reserve for stories like this. I like my heroines with a little more assertiveness and Lucy pretty much went with the flow so I guess I couldn't tell if what was happening was something she truly wanted. The ease with which they sort of fell into physical contact (touches and kisses here and there) made me wonder if perhaps I'd missed the turning point of the transition into a relationship. I also liked the set up for and interactions with Blake's sister. I can tell her story is going to be a lot of fun. Overall, a cute read. Completely safe.

2.5 Where did the smut go? Stars
I read Alexa Riley for the same reason most do, for the OTT insta love/lust and to get my smut fix. I do not mind the story lines in her books because they go hand in hand with some hot steamy sex!!
For me thats what was missing in this one as it was not until 62% that we see any action in the bedroom and thats saying something since this book only went to about 88%.
I liked Lucy and the fact that she was the one to initiate the action when it did happen, acting like a horny little minx.
So even though I was disappointed I still found Blake hot and super sweet and will continue with the series and hope things heat up!!

Ridiculously sweet, charming, and over the top insta-love romance and I absolutely loved every minute of it. Alexa Riley continues to have me addicted with their short HEA love stories. If you are a fan of protective alpha cowboys and virgin tropes, then this sweet morsel is definitely the book for you.
Roping the Virgin is the second installment of the Cowboys and Virgins Series and most definitely can be read as a standalone. Blake Jennings has set his eyes and heart on one woman only and so when the opportunity to get close to Luciana Salazar came about, Blake didn’t waste anytime to rope in his woman. It didn’t take long of course for this cowboy to make Lucy see that they belong together. So if you are ready to get roped into an over the top sweet HEA virgin love story, then you better saddle up to this Alexa Riley book. As always, Roping The Virgin was a fun entertaining read that will put a smile on your face.

3 You Know When You Know Stars

I seem to have developed a reflex action to Alexa Riley releases...especially when she involves Cowboys. The minute I learn of a new book with a hunky rancher on the cover...my fingers itch and that one click happens before you know it. This latest entry brought the added benefit of the Jennings clan. Trust me when I say... these men all seem to have a focus on women which becomes overwhelming when they find their one.
We met Blake in the first entry to this series. He was easy going and prodded his brother Ty when he fell hard for Mary Jane. Now the shoe is on the other foot. Blake is besides himself. While in town a couple of weeks ago, he saw a vision... a woman took his breath away and all of his sense. He looked at her, saw the sweet shy woman who was talking with the Vet in town and their eyes locked in for just a moment...
But that was all it took...Blake is a goner. He has seen her in town and she is friendly with everyone...everyone except him. With him, she keeps her distance. He is having serious concerns because he knows this woman, Luciana, is the woman he wants to have the life his parents had...He wants it all...family, security, children and love. She is it for him and it is making him a pain in the ass to his family because he hasn't figured out how to get close to her.
Luciana comes from a very loving family. She lives with her married sister and their children along with her father. Her father worked hard to make a life for his family and when he was able, built the home they are all in. It was a traditional family and supportive of whatever the children wanted. Luciana wanted to have a career and loved working with animals. Her mother supported the idea of her becoming a vet and now that she has passed, the family continue to push Luciana in making it happen.
Luciana has finished all her schooling and is now with the town's vet to complete her training hours in the field. Once she is done, she will be a full fledged vet. The focus Luciana wants to pursue is large animals and the town vet has just the answer in how to get the necessary training. A position at the Jennings ranch will give her the hours she needs and is everything she could want.
When Blake hears Ty's wife offered the position and will have Luciana stay with them, he shuts that down quick. Luciana will stay at his ranch and that is that. He has the horses for her to care for... and he is the man to see to it.
Luciana arrives at the ranch and when she see Blake, her heart stops for a moment....this is the man who she has been dreaming about... this is the man who's eyes have been following her whenever he is around.
This tale takes the same path all the other AR reads do...Both feel the connection, both are pining for each other and it is only a matter of hours before the love match is made. What was lovely was the concern and caring Blake had for Luciana's family. He showed class all the way.
This had a lot of the standard but also gave us a couple of leads to what the next two books are going to be. There are brothers and a sister to match up and then the Jennings will be complete.
After reading this installment, I raised my rating by a half point for the first one. I think it may have felt a little more meaty for me. Even so, this hit the AR spot and I will be clicking again for more.
Overall, these are sweet, alpha, ranchers and women who fall hard.

One of the things that I love with Alexa Riley's books is you know what you are going to get! Usually it is a short story with lots of hot sex, and a quick love at first sight kind of idea. The best thing to is even though her stories are on the smutty side of life; they still have a nice little story despite the fact that the book is so short!
"Cowboy's and Virgins" is a series about the Jennings family. This consists of three Jennings brothers, and their sister Dolly. They have a ton of land where they all live in separate dwellings, yet they are close enough to see each other everyday if they want. I love their loyalty to one another, and the best quality they all share is how they fall in love; fast and hard!! They are all extremely possessive of whom they love, and they know how to treat them like royalty, whether it is in or out of the bedroom!!!
This is Book two and Blake is immediately Smitten with Luciana. She is learning to become a vet and needs working hours to complete her schooling. She goes to stay on his ranch until she puts her time in; but what she doesn't know is that Blake isn't planning on letting her leave. He wants her for the rest of her life, and he wants to make babies with her!!! LOL Yes, you did read that right! These Jennings men want lots of babies and their wives to be around them as much as possible!!
Yes, you can expect that these reads are far fetched...but because I expect that, I just go with the flow and enjoy my guilty indulgence!!!

After I finished book 1, I was so excited to know the stories of Ty's two brothers and sister. I love how close their family is and how important family is to each one of them.
The story is about Blake and Luciana, 23.
Each one of the Jennings own a piece of land. Blake's the laid back one in the family. He wanted Luciana since the first time he saw her and tried to get her attention but she did everything to avoid him. She wanted him too but her focus was on her family, finishing school and work. She didn't have time for men.
She wanted to become a vet and work on a farm and the Jennings have four farms. Her sister pushed her to follow her dreams and her family supported her.
It took them longer to become a couple than Ty and MJ (book1 MCs) but I still felt their love and how special they are to each other.
I also loved what Blake said about men flirting or f*cking women. Like what happens when it's time to settle down and your wife hears about your past or see those women you f*ck around. I'm like "You got that right, Blake!" because he's right.
There's an epilogue with marriage and a baby.

This was just ok. Was bored. I liked book 1, crossing my fingers AR continues the series and gives us Dolly and Trace's story. That said Blake and Luciana...
I was more excited about the side characters than Blake and Luciana. They were a boring couple and the whole I have to live at home with my dad, sister and brother in law or I'm going to be sad and not sure I can deal. Seriously, if you need daddy, then you are not ready for a relationship and definitely not ready for a family of your own. Get your own life. I also thought the sex scenes were mediocre. Sad, cause I love AR, she's an automatic buy her smutty short stories are my guilty pleasure. This one was just dull and her MCs zzzzzzz.

I am so glad the ladies decided to give each of the Jennings siblings their own novellas and turn it into the Cowboys & Virgins series.
The first novella Branding the Virgin is probably one of my most favorite of the stories I have read by this pair, and Blake Jennings getting his happily ever after in Roping the Virgin was another enjoyable insta-romp as well.
One look and I knew she’d be mine. I felt it bone deep, something I’d never felt before in my life.
You know what you are getting with an AR novella, whatever its length, the love and attraction comes instantly, the men are alpha, demanding and oh so sweetly over the top, and the heroine is usually innocent and demure as was the case with Luciana on this occasion.
I’m done waiting. I’m taking what I want.
With The Wanted Virgin and The Virgin Cowboy due over the next couple of weeks, the cowboy loving, just keeps on coming, and I for one cannot wait!

Not surprised AR turned this concept into a series. However, this one didn't sit well with me. Probably because it was too fast-paced. Typical AR writing style but lacks something in between.
Blake and Luciana. Cowboy haciendero and veterinarian intern. Both goal-oriented. Both family-tight. Both virgins.
The usual love at first sight, possessive at first lust, impregnate at first pop, AR story.

This story is pretty much flawless, its a great quick, safe, and steamy read. Blake is instantly smitten by the young vet to be and comes up with a plan to get her to work on his ranch so he can slowly win her over.
It is OTT Alexa amazing-ness. The only downside was that I found the heroine to be a bit too doormat... not much resistance on her part, but I suppose it is an insta-love.
I really loved how we got little teasers of the other siblings and their potential stories! Can't wait for Dolly, and even Trace :)

I adore Blake and Luciana, it was love at first sight for these two, Blake just waited for the right time to make Luciana his.
Roping the Virgin has a beautiful story.
