'And then he’s kissing me again.
Claiming me.
Owning me.
Possessing my heart and devouring my soul.'

Keelyn and Merrick are people who know real loss and real heartbreak.
One embraces a bright and sunny outlook, trying to deal with the loss.
One lets the grief swallow them up and wants answers.
Both relate in their grief but are very different in most other ways.
Can they find love again, in each other? Or are their pasts going to define them?

I loved Keelyn, she was adorable, the cutest, but she was also very strong. It's admirable how positive she can be after such a devastating loss. When it came to Merrick it can maybe come across as a bit much or maybe pushy but it's not, she comes from the best place, her heart leads her and she follows! I loved all of the relationships she had; with her sister, with her niece, with her employee and of course the one with Merrick.

Merrick... Oh, Merrick. Aloof. Growly. Lost. Merrick lost everything so he had nothing else to lose and he had only one goal. Then Keelyn crashes into his world and he can't shake her. But he also can't forget the reason he came to that town. I loved him. I also ached for him because he's struggling with what was and what is. What he came to town for and the reason he's now staying...

'Because this wasn’t supposed to happen. I wasn’t supposed to find a second chance.'

Something I really admire about this story is the balance between the past and the present especially where the MC's and their life shared with someone else before they died and now they're finding love again. I've read a couple of books with this kind of story line and it's HARD to get that balance right with the present relationship without tarnishing it or disregarding the past relationship altogether but Lucia Grace totally got it so right.

I really liked this one. It was a great second chance at love and healing story. It was sweet, sexy and suspenseful. I'm so excited to see what's next from this author!

I am 100% completely and Utterly in Love with this. I read it in one go because I had to know what happened. I knew from the first page this book was going to be good, but it blew me away. I want to shout from the rooftops "GO READ THIS BOOK"

Everything I am is Merrick and Keelynn's story. They have both suffered unimaginable lose. Which makes them both guarded, well Merrick more so. Together they start to heal each other's past. I just loved everything about this couple together. Their chemistry was insane. Merrick is A 100% Alpha, he is bossy and freaking Hot. I want a Merrick. Keelynn I adored her even after all the heartbreak she has suffers she still opens herself up to Merrick and shows him they can heal.

This a book about a second chance at Love and living. Everything just clicks with this book, it has all the feels. I cried, I laughed, I swooned, I needed a cold shower. It has everything you want and need in a book. You have the romance but you also have the suspense as Merrick tries to avenge his family.

This book is so beautifully written. This author writes in a way that you get so swept up in the story you feel you are living it with them. Lucia has such a talent. I just wish more people knew more about this author because they are missing out. I didn't want this book to end I wanted to keep reading about these amazing characters.

description

A few months ago I was not so open to try new authors because I had settled in a comfort zone. So I decided to give authors that are new to me a try. Lucia Grace is one of them. But let me tell you, I was not disappointed in the least. She delivered a 5 amazing star story.

ARC of Everything I Need by Lucia Grace provided in exchange of an honest spoiler free review.

Merrick has been through the unimaginable that left him isolated, broody, sad and very angry. He's out to get revenge for what was taken from him. Just one smile from KeeLynn and she becomes the sunshine in his darkness. She has been through some hardship of her own. Now, their future is threatened by the same danger that took everything from Merrick. He will do anything to keep her from arms way.

This story had everything to make it an amazing journey with these characters. There was suspense with some little action involved. A tragic heartfelt story that made me shed quite a few tears along the way. I can't forget to mention their love for each other that was so passionate, raw and intense.

This story took me by storm, from the very first page. I devoured it in a matter of hours because it's so intriguing, captivating and suspenseful. I didn't want it to end.

These characters were perfectly developed and created to fit this story. I got to feel for them , my heart was broken in pieces many times over but with the author's words and storyline she was able to put it back together.

This is a standalone told in a dual POV. The epilogue was beautifully written to give me an HEA. This is an author that I will be checking for past and futur books. I strongly recommend this story.

You know when you read a prologue and it steals your breath and breaks your heart...that's what Everything I Need did to me. Merrick had it all a loving family & a great job as an FBI agent. One heartbreaking moment and he lost everything. He moves to a new town to seek retribution for his wife and daughter, along the way he meets Keelynn.

Keelynn knows all about heartbreak and loss, after losing her grandparents & high school sweetheart. Finding love again with the town newcomer isn't something she ever expects. She runs a quant little bookstore called Between the Pages *cute name*. Her first encounter with Merrick is a little awkward she bumps into him coming out of the grocery store.

"Oh crap. I'm so sorry!" A sweet, melodic voice floats through the air.

They continue to run into each from time to time in different places. One particular meeting when Keelynn needs a handy man & who other than Merrick turns up, ends in a steamy & passionate encounter in her kitchen. Merrick is hiding secrets from her & also the real reason why he is in the town.

This book was full of steamy scenes & action packed moments. Merrick was a hot swoon worthy hero & Keelynn was a sweet sassy heroine. The side characters were great especially Toni a sixty-eight year retired postal worker, who worked with Keelynn. She gave me a full laugh out loud moments. Overall I really enjoyed this book & look forward to reading more of this authors work.

Another great book from another new to me author. This book was recommended by another favorite author of mine (thank you KC Lynn!) on Facebook so decided to check it out. I am so glad I did!! I adored the characters in this book. Don’t get me wrong, there is angst in this story, the losses these two had were heart breaking.

Keelyn had multiple losses in her life but brought such light to those around her. Despite the pain (she hid very well) she dealt with it with smiles and sunshine. Merrick also had tragic losses, he lost the two people who meant the world to him. He dealt with it by seeking revenge and stayed in the dark. So when he met Keelyn he honestly did not know how to react. Keelyn on the other hand saw a kindred spirit.

Their love story was beautiful. This is a second chance love story, and it was written perfectly. One always fear that their first love will overshadow any new partners, but these two accepted and created their own story. There is some suspense in this story dealing with Merrick’s revenge which will bring out the hot sexy alpha in him. It was a bit frustrating how long it took for Merrick to open up and talk to Keelyn, the consequences definitely opened his eyes. But in the end with the type of person Keelyn is, the result is perfect. I loved the epilogue! This is definitely a must read!

Everything I need is all about second chances, but not the stereotypical second chance love you may think of when it comes to the romances genre. Both characters know what true loss means and it was interesting to see how the two different tragedies shaped them in such drastically different ways.

Keelyn is warm, bright, and consuming. She is the sun. Despite the sadness she has chosen a path of light and happiness to try and fight (and kind of fake) her way through dealing with all her losses.

Merrick is “dark.” Not like fifty shades or anything of that nature, but he has let the revenge sought out to him and reversed it into his own. He has let his pain consume him to the point his perspective may be too narrow.

So the question is how do dark and light fit together? Perhaps it is the mixture of dark and light that create the perfect medium hue. The picture perfect light. The type of light that inspires artists.
This book was very good. It has lots of elements that most people who enjoy the FBI/cop/military man who tends take care of his then this is the perfect for you.

Merrick and Keelynn are no strangers to tragedy. Both have suffered losses that change their lives forever. Merrick's way of dealing with his losses are to seek retribution on those who caused it. Keelynn disguises her pain with a smile on her face. Both are merely existing, until their paths cross and they finally can start living. Will Merrick's need for revenge ruin his second chance at love? This book had me hooked from the beginning. I have read all of the books by this author and one thing that I love is her ability to write great secondary characters. This book was no different. She has become a "buy now with one-click" author for me and I really feel like this is her best work yet. I can't wait to read more from her!

Truly beautiful, heartwarming story! Two individuals, lost the of their lives, both to tragic events! One may have been more horrific than the other, yet no less, left a hole, loss in the survivors heart. The two people meet by chance or fate however one might look at it. Merrick and Keelynn run into each other, more than once, continually feel!!! Neither knows what to do with those feeling? Merrick is keeping things from Keelynn, will she be able to forgive him for these secrets when they come out?? Great story about understanding, forgiving oneself, learning to love again, open your heart, definitely worth your time to read❤️❤️❤️.

Two broken souls

Keelynn has lost a lot in her short life and is trying to take each day as it comes, not interested in being set up on dates by her sister.
Then along comes Merrick a lost soul, after losing his wife and child because of his job as an FBI agent. He's set to seek revenge.
Keelynn can see the hurt and pain in his eyes and wants to help him.
They are drawn to each other and both learn to love again, they are taken on an emotional journey finding out about each other lives and excepting they have both loved before.
I really enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend.

Sunshine through the darkness! Beautiful!

I loved this book. Merrick and Keelynn have seen so much pain and los in their lives. But they make each other whole. Can Merrick see past the demons he fights daily, to allow that sunshine?
This book gives you a major case of the feels! I smiled, I shed tears, I felt the passion. Amazing read!

This story took my breathe away. I'm not huge fan of second chances type of romances, especially when it involved a dead spouse/partner who was very beloved by the MC (main character). Many times even with an HEA, the author failed to leave me satisfied because I feel that the MC didn't love their new partner enough. It is not so with Everything I Need. Lucia Grace managed to strike the balance with both MCs who lost their first loves. She made me believed that both of them, especially the H genuinely loves the h and that she's not some random replacement. What made me cared is due to the fact that Ms Grace wrote a beautiful love story, with fleshed out characters and omigosh .. the words on the pages were written so eloquently.

"Your smile, Merrick. They’re so rare, even now. That when I catch sight of one, I can’t help but stop and stare and trace it into my memory. Because each one is so perfect.”

The first few pages already made me bawled ugly tears and my heart ached by the sheer devastation that Merrick went through. Then I got to know Keelyn and her devastation and I was bawling all over again. There were again some scenes in between that made my heart ached so much for both of them. What sealed it for me is the decision that Merrick finally made, that's when I knew he truly loves Keelyn. I'm so glad that Ms Grace add an epilogue as it left me super satisfied. I devoured this book in one sitting. It is a must read.

Oh wow!!! So much emotion, suspense, heartbreak and love wrapped up in this story. I adored Merrick and Keelyn. These two have lost so much but grieved and recovered differently.

They had so much in common and wasn’t thinking of ever moving on from their losses until they crossed each other’s path. Keelyn always had a smile on her face and that caught Merrick attention. Merrick was gorgeous but broody which attracted Keelyn. She saw something in him that showed they were connected in so many ways.

This wasn’t an insta-love but these two couldn’t help hide what they were feeling for each other that just sort of happened without them even thinking. Keelyn was a ray of sunshine and Merrick was her protector. There was several incidents that would keep you in suspense and things that happened that will have you holding your breath wondering what’s next.

The epilogue I loved but I wish it continued.

Everything I Need was a quick read that I enjoyed for the most part. I liked Keelynn & Merrick and their love story, but I had a little bit of a problem with the pacing & timing of the storyline. As I read about the early days of when they met and started their relationship, it seemed like the events that I had read so far were probably about a weeks worth of stuff and all of a sudden it came out that it was actually over a few months that these events had taken place. The way that this time span was written was just kind of confusing to me. I also thought that things were a little anticlimactic. Like the big moment that took place at the warehouse was too brief and resolved too easily considering that's what the whole book was leading up to.

I really loved this book. Many authors don't necessarily pull off these second chance at love stories. They tend to make you feel that the new love is coming in second place to the old one. This was not the case here. You can see and feel the love between the first loves but it doesn't overshadow the new ones. The love between Merrick and Keelyn was different than their prior loves. Not better, different which makes this more enjoyable to read. They both respected and accepted each other's past but knew what they had was just as true and perfect and hopeful.

Keelyn was one of the best female MC I have read in a while. She was sweet, nurturing, fun, open, and untainted in spite of her tragic past. She was perfect for Merrick.

Merrick was pretty much closed off. I never felt that he was an ass or anything, just in so much pain. You can feel his guilt over the loss of his family. I can understand his need for revenge and being consumed by it how ever it can lead to trouble. When he gave in to his attraction to Keelyn, he was totally hot.

This was a fast paced, engaging story. Kudos to for writing such an awesome story!
