Again

You know why I hate your books? Because I always get to the end to soon. I open it and don't close it till I'm done. It is very hard to even close that last page because I want to read more. They always make me laugh and cry. And end on a feel good moment. Great books, great reading. The characters that you want to be best friends with. Can't wait for Beast's real story I sure I will cry and laugh through it as well. Please never stop writing, that is all I ask.

So so good

Every time TS Joyce releases a new book, I read it immediately because I know it will be good. And every time I finish, I sit stunned for a minute over what I just read. I don't know how she does it, but every book is incredible. This one stole my heart, from the beginning. It got me in all the feels. That's why she's such an amazing writer. You're in the story from the beginning, and the character are so real. I feel like I know them.

This whole series is amazing and I almost have no words to describe it. Blackwing Wolf was just as good as the first, and I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Ok so you know sometimes you start reading a book -- by an author you really enjoy (or maybe that's new) and then suddenly for some reason (you can't put your finger on) you're not feeling it.... the story

The book is following the formula you enjoy every time but this time it's not doing it for you...
Am I in a bad mood? Or did I over do myself on this genre?

Well that's what happened here... for reasons unknown to me I was no longer invested in the story lol

I love Love love TS Joyce and her shifter series. They're not terribly long and give me my fix without a lot of fuss but this one was a slow burn for me.

Could be the fact that Dustin was a wolf and inherently wolves in shifter books are super shady and evil.

Sadly I was so looking forward to this story bc Dustin was hilarious in the preceding book (he reminded me of Ryder from the Harpers Mountains series by TS)
Could be because he was described as submissive (in his old pack) and in these series the men are anything but submissive!

I read about 50% and then put it down for almost two weeks :/

I liked Emma thought she was cute and this book definitely had its moments especially after the 60% mark when the crew bonded.

In the end I'm glad I finished. I would've felt guilty, reading book 3 (Beast) without finishing this story first. What can I say? I'm a completist lol

Overall the story was good and maybe it could've been better even if I can't exactly say why lol!

This was so much more than I expected, and a really great addition to this mini-series. I went into this very unsure if I would like Dustin. In previous books, we see him as a shifter who is a bit too sarcastic and can't seem to take anything seriously. But Blackwing Wolf shows us a side of him that I didn't expect. The humor and sarcasm is hiding deep pain. Pain he doesn't want to show anyone, especially Logan and Beast and Kane, and under no circumstances, Emma.

Bravo to the author for making me like a character I had no idea I would turn out to love. Very much looking forward to the next book! 4.5 stars

This is one great book, I laughed so hard at times and cried at times and wasn't sure if Dustin and Emma where go to mate, hated his brother, but it was Kane who surprise me the most, he is one smart sly dragon, and the beast isn't has bad as I thought he was, can't wait for his story to be told, Joyce has her work out telling his story but I know it will great one!!!

Just did not like either MC that much. Especially the hero. Too much a manwhore, could not be serious, too submissive (WAY TOO SUBMISSIVE). Yes I know he fought for her in the end, but I just do not like submissive wolves. This was a hate to lovers to more book. It just was not a favorite.

Very funny H is an oddity, a submissive wolf. It also means he's been brutalised by his dominant brothers. The human h is deaf and he's attracted when they first meet. Their story is tragic, to survive they must change themselves. Favourite H and a great addition to the series.

Laugh out loud funny!

This author has become one of my favorites. I always can depend on her to tell an amazing story. Dustin is so funny, yet so broken. The whole Blackwing crew is. Emma was a great character who had a rough start in life but was still full of love and laughter. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

First opinion's arent always wrong

Holy crap I have no idea where to start with this book.

I hated Dustin , I knew he had some secrets but damn
Emma was raised in the dark but luckily her parents wanted her in the light and pushed her to try for Kane's crew, yes her and Dustin butt heads but when it came down to it she loved him, and he loves her and he was willing to die for her and the crew, but we all know the crews stick by each other and Beast shows he knows that Dustin is crew. Emma and Dustin's story had me laughing, crying and wanting to strangle that damn wolf but he made me love him in the end

I really wasn’t looking forward to this book as I didn’t care for Dustin in the last book at all. He was super slimy and sleezy. It was made worse because I liked Emma and thought she deserved someone better than Dustin. I will say that by the end of the book I was ok with these two as a couple and Dustin grew on my a bit. What saved the book for me was how the Blackwing crew actually became a real crew, their bonding while drunk on a bar bathroom floor is fitting for this group. I also loved how all of them came together at the end to fight off a threat and save one of their own.

Didn't think I would like it....surprise

I didn't like Dustin in the first book, so I wasn't looking forward to this. I was pleasantly surprised, I really like this!

Dustin grew so much and Emma helped us uncover his true self! Under that sarcastic self was a wonderful loving caring guy! He loved Emma for who she was! Great story brought me to tears twice!

I will read the next! Great read!

Blackwing Wolf by T.S Joyce was a very sweet read.

Dustin is a werewolf sent to the Blackwing crew to gather Intel on how to kill a dragon. His alpha is seeking vengeance against Harper for killing half of his pack. But with the love of the only human looking to join the crew, Emma help him realize what he was missing.

But will betraying his brother get him killed or worse and put Emma in danger of losing her only chance at hearing again??

From all the books I read about this author, Blackwing wolf was one of the most I paid attention and enjoyed. There is chemistry between the couple, and Dustin (What a brat) & Emma (trying to connect with a world she doesn't belong) care a lot for each other.
They are very vulnerable and they try to understand themselves above all. Find their place.

He's a submissive wolf and I never ever read before a book with a character as him. It's hard to write one with a submissive wolf and I think here didn't reach the point to show a real sub behavior...

For the rest, nice read.

Loved Dustin!

He was a good character, although he is submissive and I find it interesting they've made a male submissive, he was a nice character. I liked their chemistry and how they are an unlikely couple both unique people.

FIERY ROMANCE - SUSPENSE & LOADS OF ACTION

DISCLOSURE: KU Reader Review!

The way Dustin earns his way into the Blackwing Crew took me by surprise; loved how he did it.

Dark Kane dragon shifter has accepted the fact he and his mate Rowan need a crew for friendship and protection. Next in line to be part of this crew are Dustin werewolf shifter and Emma a human. One would wonder why a human would want to live among shifters. Her story is quite a surprise. Dustin a submissive wolf has been ordered by his alpha to get into the good graces of Kane and Emma; mission to betray them. Dustin's sense of humor and sarcasm tends to be annoying but you can't help liking him. Emma's charm, beauty, and sass send Dustin and his wolf side into a mass of fiery desires with the need for a better life. Dustin may use his humor to hide behind his submissiveness but his intelligence outweighs both.

A THRILLING fast-paced read that kept me intrigued until the end. A well-written story with gripping suspense, spine-chilling action, horrific life-threatening moments, emotional moments, happy times, praise-worthy engaging characters, believable fiery romance and a happy ending worth waiting for. I adored Emma and Dustin together. I found this to be a most gratifying read. Without reservations, I recommend this story to those who love shifters.

Blackwing Wolf

The MFC has a fabulous story of being raised by vampires (but she's not one) and the MMC is a submissive wolf (which doesn't look exactly the way you would think).

The part I want to comment on is the dominant/submissive aspect. The author uses wolf shifters as a great example of what happens when there are too many dominants.

“The truth is the animals are to blame. Too many dominants, not enough submissives. It’s like a mob.”

And this,

“Somewhere in their history, wolves had separated themselves from other shifters and began culling their submissives. And without people to protect, their wolves had gone mad with bloodlust that, honestly, werewolves didn’t put much effort into controlling.”

The underlying message, which shows up in the last book with Logan, is that one of the dominant’s main purposes is protection. They need a community to protect. In fact, this is the reason Kane needs a whole crew, not just a mate. Their animals need to have others to protect - it gives them a healthy purpose and foundation. So many of the MMC’s in this author's work (and much of the romance genre) have endured extensive trauma that disrupts their drive to take care of others. As always, I wonder how much this resonates with RL - our leaders are looking a lot like the Wolf shifter communities here.

This is the second book in this series. Dustin is another one of the shifters that showed up to be a part of the Blackwing Crew. However, he is there for a different reason. Dustin is part of the Valdoro pack and they have sent him there to get on the crew and then betray them. Now he isn’t sure he wants to do that though. Emma is human. A human with a mission to join the Blackwing crew. Neither of them are what they seem at first. When Dustin suggest that they pretend to be a couple for a better chance at joining the crew. Emma thinks he is crazy and he probably is. The problem is that it works a little to well and soon they are falling for each other. Dustin will be faced with a very hard decision. Betray the Blackwings like he is supposed to or betray his pack. I really felt for Dustin. He is a submissive wolf and therefore the lowest ranking member of the pack. Things were never easy for him. He finds somewhat of a home with the Blackwings and Emma. Emma is full of secrets herself. She is spunky and doesn’t take crap from anyone. This book ends of somewhat happy and sad at the same time. I am eager to read Beast’s book next.

Tooth Achingly Sweet

Emma and Dustin are fighting for the chance to become part of the Blackwing crew. After watching two of the D-team get the invite, Dustin concocts a scheme to couple up with Emma and swindle their own invite. You know what they say about best laid plans....

Dustin and Emma's story moved swiftly and sweetly. Dustin's defining characteristic is his humor/goofiness, and I'm so glad that we got to see more than just that side of him. This couple was freaking adorable....but I think the relationship development moved too swiftly and didn't give enough credit to how deep of a bond they seem to have developed. I would have loved to see this book be a bit longer so it could have developed the story line way more. I also don't buy into all of these characters fighting and getting injured but none of their injuries are ever thaaaat serious. I kind of wanted to see a more realistic depiction of this. Although I have some misgivings with this book and it's development, but I still enjoyed the sweet story, the struggle, and how well these characters triumphed over adversity.

Interesting and different storyline, with a little bit of a mystery .... Highly recommend!

Contains subject matter that may be offensive or a trigger for some including, steamy intimate scenes and violence.

While this story could be read as a standalone, I highly recommend that they be read in order for maximum enjoyment and to prevent spoilers.

Dustin and Emma's story is different than the rest. It doesn't involve an abusive background for her, but instead she has a hearing impairment that facilitated her adoption.

Dustin is a werewolf, and werewolf shifters are deceitful, lying, back-stabbing scumbags of the shifter world. When the Bloodrunner crew bought Harper's mountain and established their pack, the Valdoro pack targeted the alpha and plotted against them. Then Dustin comes and wants to pledge to Jane's New Blackwing crew?! There is no way he could e serious, right? It has to be a plot to get a spy into the crew, right?!
