The Helper: Journey into purposeful work

Rate this book
Work fills our lives for forty hours each week for forty years. It was never intended to be a place where we simply earned our living, but one where we accomplish something of worth. Yet most people don't experience this. Andy Black was one. He embarked upon a career that soon became a journey of torment that lasted for seven long years. Then one day a mysterious voice spoke into his working world, transforming him into someone filled with hope, purpose and confidence.

God's got it.

This is a wonderful account of God's hand on Andy and hence his families life. In a very open and honest way he shares how he went the way he was lead to the way he was redirected God's way, but every step no matter how good or painful was it a step in the right direction.

One of the things I admire about Andy and His family is the all walk the walk and don't just talk it, in fact the biggest testimony to them is their walk. All 5 of his family plus the girls husbands are amazing and full of grace and they have a lives that just shine and everyone who meets them are blessed. I promise that's not hype just fact, I mention it as it is a evidence of the anoiting or their lives.

Personally I believe that all are steps are seen by God, and we choose to follow His pass or not but to read Andy's story was a special privilege and watching (in a reading way) the path he took and how each step lead to the next. You will understand more of what i mean as you read ti as obviously each step leads to the next but where you out each foot is not so obvious.

This is informative, uplifting and full of wisdom and sound guidance I challenge you to not be challenged. This is 5 stars because well actually once you've read it you will know why it's 5 stars. I really really recommend this book.
