Skye Maddison has never been a good girl, but she isn’t stupid. She just did one stupid thing; made one stupid mistake that got her into trouble. But she’s been given a way out. And she’s taking it...
FBI Agent Gabriel Franks has been watching the Soldiers of Darkness. Since Mack Slayer returned as president Gabriel's known something’s been going on. He’s sending someone undercover, inside the club, to get close to the men he needs to put away. **Please be aware that ‘Bound’ contains strong language, adult themes that some people may find distressing, and some graphic sex. It is therefore suitable only for mature readers 18+**
‘Bound’ could be classed as a standalone novel in the ‘Soldiers of Darkness’ series because, although it does feature one or two characters from the first two books, the story itself revolves around brand new characters, and it's told from their POV. It's not strictly necessary to read either 'Broken' or 'Betrayed' first, but it would, I guess, give readers a little more of an insight into the Soldiers of Darkness MC if they chose to do so. But, not strictly necessary...
Michelle Betham is an ex-media technician turned author of super-sexy romance, usually involving rock stars, DJs, movie stars, hot businessmen, and bikers. But not usually all in the same book. Yet. A proud indie author, she also has six books published through One More Chapter, a division of HarperCollins Publishers, one of which is a pyschological thriller/romantic suspense written under the pen name of ML Roberts.
Addicted to binge-watching TV shows she struggles to think of a life before Netflix or Amazon Prime, loves music - especially rock and EDM; tattoos – of which she has many; spicy food, superheroes (she's a slightly obsessed Avengers fan-girl who harbours a particularly unhealthy obsession with Captain America), and Keanu Reeves – a crush that’s lasted well over twenty years, and one she blames entirely on ‘Point Break’. The original. She refuses to acknowledge any remake exists.
Her dream is to ride a Harley, visit Las Vegas, and be able to eat any amount of chocolate without putting on weight.
She lives in County Durham, north-east England, with her husband and their West Highland Terrier, Opie - named after her favourite biker in Sons of Anarchy! She can be found, most days, at her desk drinking tea and making up stories.
I first read the Lone Riders trilogy then I moved on to this series, which is also a series that leaves the reader hanging. This series is much too similar to the first one IMO. Two men, one woman and a love triangle. Gabriel, an FBI agent, is a hard man who forces Skye into becoming an informant. At times he is so self-serving I cringed. Skye is just like the h from the first series and gives her heart to more than one man at a time but then decides she only loves one of them. Theo feels guilty for letting his brother go to prison for a crime that Theo committed. There's grit, rape, really self serving characters and you waffle back and forth on exactly who Skye really loves. The book ends with a HFN for two of them and a set up for the next book coming out. So, again it leaves you hanging. I really don't know if I'll read the next book because of the strong similarities to the first series.
Third book of this series. A bit confusing in the beginning. It almost reminded me of a previous series by this author. Too many similarities, lawyer/biker, girl from the UK in America. Girl’s father was president of biker MC in England but moved to the states to be president there. Hmmm...
