Xoe knew her father had a few family secrets, but she hadn’t expected to find answers in the human world. Never the less, she’s not one to pass up a good road trip, so with the help of her friends, she’s journeying into unknown territory to find the answers her father wasn’t able to give her. Who is she really, and why are certain demons out to kill her? Back home, more trouble is brewing. It’s Xoe’s job to protect her pack, but when Emma’s abusive father comes a’calling, Xoe will be torn between her family mystery, and her obligation to the wolves. Something’s gotta give, and hopefully it won’t be Xoe.

Awesome addition to the series! Although this is the final book, I'm really glad we will see more of Xoe and friends in a spin off series. All of the books have been amazing, and this book was a very satisfying end.
You know that feeling you get when you meet up with an old friend you haven’t seen in a long time and instantly go into a conversation as if no time has passed? That’s how it felt reading Minor Magic years after the sixth book in the series.
I started the Xoe Meyers series back in high school (2015) when I was dealing with a severe medical health problem. Through the years my book preferences have become spicer yet I’ve reread books 1-6 over and over again. Xoe Meyers had become, and still is, a comfort series for me. It should come as no surprise to those who know me that even with consistently rereading this series I still somehow missed that books seven and eight had released. If I hadn’t gone to buy paperbacks of the series I likely never would’ve known.
I didn’t need to reread books 1-6 before diving into Minor Magic. The pages of it filled with characters that I consider old friends and who’s stories I can recall as if it were my own memory by now. Reading Minor Magic was like going on a new exciting adventure with people you care about and I absolutely loved every minute of it. I’m not ashamed to say I cried at the end. After you’ve become so attached to a character and their story it’s hard not to cry when you see them finally getting the life they deserve.
I cannot wait to start The Demon Code and continue my adventure with Xoe and her incredible friends… I also can’t wait for all the rereads of Xoe Meyers 1-8 to come, and trust me it’ll likely be sooner rather than later.
I absolutely love this series! I normally read more kindle unlimited than anything because I read so much and so fast but I got the first 3 books in this series free and thought it's worth a shot so I started reading them.. I was hooked I couldn't put them down. I have read the entire series in about 4 days. I bought books 4-7 back to back I had to know what was going to happen next! If you like a strong heroine and some kick but heros your sure to love this series. It's non stop action and I caught myself laughing out loud several times. I hate that this is the last book in this series but can't wait for the spin off to see what Xoe and her friends get into next. And now I'm off to read the rest of Sara's series hopefully they will be as good as this series was..
I feel like I read a different series than everyone else. I know that the Xoe Meyers series is intended for young adults but the 5 star ratings and rave reviews have me flabbergasted.
The plot is extremely convoluted at times, too many characters and very little development (other than Xoe who we see sort of progress, if you can call it that), and one of the most unlikable heroines I've ever come across.
I honestly hated Xoe. She's rude, selfish, arrogant, uncompromising (and not in a flattering way) and frankly quite annoying. She is in constant need of saving and for an "alpha" spends an exorbitant amount of time being carried around by someone else.
Don't get me wrong, I started the series with extremely low expectations and happily breezed through all 7 books but I cannot in good conscience give this series anything other than 1 star.
I am glad she decided to toss in more than just pizza. Still undecided if I will read spin off. She needs have someone do the editing even if it just to fix the words.
This book was a great ending to the series. Although, I felt like the contents of the last two chapters could have just been summarized as part of the epilogue, rather than having them separate. Still, an enjoyable read.
O think this was the best book in the series this far. I love Sara C Roethle's style of writing, and the dry humour is great. Looking forward to book 8.
I received a copy of this in exchange for an honest review.
Xoe has grown so much over the course of the seven books. She has truly been through hell and back, but has remained snarky, confident, and strong, but has also shown tremendous personal growth as well. She learned what mattered most in life and found her calling too. I'm sad to see the series end because it has made me laugh, be mad, cry and gasp, but I'm also excited to know that there's going to be a spin-ff series. Hopefully, all the favorites will still be there and it's going to have more adult themes so that's a huge plus for since this series is more YA! Having said that, this book was a fitting end to Xoe's youth and tied up a lot of loose end that will allow her to begin her adulthood in a style that only Xoe could!
