Andrea
His charm is contagious... and I've just been infected.

For years I've been abused by my father, ruthless billionaire Peter DeLaCoeur. Now he wants me dead.

If I want to survive, I need to surround myself with those I trust.

Simple right?

Not if sexy heir Carson Sands has anything to say about it. He shows up out of nowhere, armed with family secrets.

Tall, auburn-haired with silvery-gray eyes, Carson makes my heart throb. He brings out a side in me I never knew existed. He makes me want to serve him.

Yet, in a world of dark secrets and assassins, I have to be careful. Distractions, even ones as hot as Carson, will be the death of me.

Still, I’ll be okay. If I stick to the game plan.

Problem is, one look from Carson and I can’t decide the greater threat— the assassins after me, or the desire in his eyes, and the things I know he wants to do to me.

Carson

I want to take her, to taste her, and punish her.

I'm on a mission. Protect my sister Melissa from would-be dangers, and take her psychotic father Peter DeLaCoeur down for his crimes.

But when I meet Andrea DeLaCoeur, I'm overcome with lust. She's exotic as they come with her smooth olive skin, blue, almond-shaped eyes, dark hair and curvy body.

It should be a crime to tempt a man like me. I need to stay focused if I want to keep Andrea and Melissa safe. Keep my d*ck in my pants.

I don't know what'll be the biggest battle, fighting Peter DeLaCoeur.... or resisting Andrea's lush curves.

Okay, so... we had the second-chance, friends-to-lovers, revenge romance in the first book of the series. This second book was the requisite Dom finding his sub, "I hope she can handle my dark desires" romance. The next will be the "de-flowering the virgin" story to round out the three. Insert eye roll here.

Again, I have a problem with how badly this story was developed, but the story dragged. That doesn't seem to make sense, I know. However, it got lost in the details with too little characterizations to make me care about them more that just wishing it was done.

As far as the BDSM angle (a trope which I hate, by the way), it was only alluded as the sex between the two was pretty vanilla. I didn't mind it, but the build up of "can she handle me?" and the part where she submitted, complete with her on her knees Ana style, was completely lost with their anticlimactic sex.

Overall, the book was a tad boring.

And what is with both books so far hinting at inappropriate relationships between siblings? *Shudder* Gross.

I went through all this just to read the third and final book that I fear will not be worth it at all.

Sexy, Charming Heir & Smart, Feisty Beauty Make A Intriguing Read!

Retaliation is Andrea’s story. This is the next book in the series. Retaliation can be read as a standalone. Many of the characters from the previous story, Revenge, are in this book as well.

Andrea helped her half-brother Jackson and Katrina take down her father. They along with a few others were able to get Peter DeLaCoeur sent to prison. Peter is released on a technicality and is ready for retaliation. Everyone takes off or goes in different directions to hide from Peter. Andrea tries to move on with her life in New Orleans and finish school. Andrea has to be very careful about any contact that she has with the others, because Peter has sent men after her (as well as the others). Andrea discovers that she has a half-sister named Melissa. Melissa encouraged her adopted brother Carson to locate Andrea. When they meet, Carson and Andrea are very attracted to each other. Should they give in to their desire when Carson is the adopted brother of Andrea’s half-sister? Will they be able to resist the temptation? Carson and Andrea have very hot chemistry together. Carson feels very protective of Andrea. Carson has to decide if Andrea can handle his desires.

Carson and Andrea are great together. I love a dirty talking alpha male / hero. There are definitely some steamy scenes with Carson and Andrea. Yum! I like that characters from Revenge (Jackson, Katrina & Nathan) were in this story as well. I am excited for Nathan’s story. Retaliation has some violence, action, romance, a sexy hero and a smart feisty heroine. There was lots of suspense & many twist and turns. In other words, this book contains a generous amount of secrets and lies (like the title states), but don’t fear there is a happily ever after.

I was given this book in exchange for an unbiased review.

Overall = 4 1/2 Stars!
Cliffhanger = No
HEA = Yes
Recommend to Others = Yes
Chemistry = 4 1/2 Stars!

In Retaliation, this is Andrea story she is Jackson's half-sister, Andrea is trying to move on with her life, her father Peter DeLaCoeur ordered a hit on her for helping her brother take him down. Peter was suppose to serve life but somehow he pulled strings and it now out. Then there is Carson he owns art galleries, he also takes care of his sister Melissa, whom is an accomplished artist and sculptor. Carson was adopted into Melissa's family so he is not a blood relative. Melissa is Andrea's are half sister they find out about each other when there father is being let out of prison he wants them dead. So much is going on Retaliation, it keeps wanting to read until the very. 5 Star read for me

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

I loved reading Andrea and Carson's story! Constant on the go, edge of the seat and so hard to put down. Twists, action and heat. Had me angry, scared, and tears too, whole mix of emotions. Brilliant seeing Jackson, Katrina and Nathan joining up again too and them all bonding more. Looking forward to reading Nathan's story. Would certainly recommend!
I would advise you to read the first book, Revenge, before reading this so you get the complete story - but you wont be sorry, it's well worth it!

Another great book

Ms. Landis has the ability to write to a large audience. Like the first book in the trilogy this one has action, adventure and romance, something for everyone. While the main characters in this book centers on Carson and Andrea, with Carson being a new character in this book along with his sister Melissa. There is enough in this story of Katerina, Jackson, and Nathan to move the story along and keep it interesting. I highly recommend reading this trilogy.

I hope the next book is as great as the first two. Great romances an kicking some a## I enjoyed that. I recommend this book to all romance and action readers.

Received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I thoroughly loved the second book in Ms Landish's series. I enjoyed Andrea's story and how she takes on her father who is trying to get her back along with Baby Andrea. Peter has enlisted the help of a former Russian prisoner who is a hired hitman. Peter wants Jackson and Katrina killed and the other two brought to him. Carson is the adoptive brother of Melissa another one of Peter's daughters by an women he had an affair with. Possibly the first of many of his affairs. Nathan has been keeping Peter off of everyones trail so far. No one knew that Peter had someone looking for them until a man appears at a gallery showing that Carson had for his sister and an unknown man starts asking Melissa too many pointed questions. This book had a lot of suspense while everyone is trying to evade the attempt on their lives. It also had a lot of emotion in it with Andrea and Carson feelings for one another growing stronger. I look forward to the 3rd book in the series. Retribution is Nathan's story.

Received ARC for honest review

Ok. so if you didn't know, I'm a newbie fan girl of Lauren Landish and I've been snorting her books like a crackhead let loose in a police station's evidence lockup room (furtive, gleeful and sinfully quick before I'm caught and have to explain why I'm not writing yet)

Retribution is the second in the Revenge Bad Boy series and tells the story of Andrea, half Japanese, half white daughter of corrupt businessman Peter De LaCoeur. It also gives us glimpses of the H and h from Revenge and adds more depth to another side character Nathan. All I can say is this is a juicy, filling read. Whilst the scenes between Carson and Andrea are hot and steamy they feel right and well placed. Not in the 'ok-it's-time-for-some-smut-cos-it's-chapter-4 so..she-drops-her knickers,-he grabs-her-knockers,-it's on... kind of way

Not so much an alpha billionaire as a quiet alpha Dom millionaire with a complicated past and a loyal streak towards his family.

A continuation of the De La Coeur saga as yet daughter emerges from the murky past of the businessman crook Peter De La Coeur.
Andrea and Jackson meet up to fight back against their father, Peter's attempts to have them captured or killed.

Carson Sands the H jointly owns a chain of art galleries MCS Galleries with his sister, Melissa who was traumatised by the death of her mother. Melissa is the biological daughter of Peter, is haunted by the trauma of seeing her mother's suicide and retreats to sculpture and painting for expression and peace.

Andrea meets Carson and is drawn to his intense strength and fierce loyalty to her half-sister.
The battle to keep their feelings under control as they join with Katrina and Jackson to protect their motley crew of siblings finally erupts as Peter's killer tries to kidnap Andrea.

The book is another roller coaster of deeply detailed but truly engaging scenes as Landish paints a muted picture of the D/s relationship that ultimately develops between Carson and Andrea.

And the twists and turns of this book! I was tempted to take motion sickness pills but realised, I like it. Hell. I loved it. This is not your usual read. It's dark but not in a foreboding way, and there are shards of light so piercing that at times I just closed the book and caught myself sighing.

I read fast. Very fast.
But I took time over Retribution because you just have to if you want to get the full impact of the story. when Carson shoots Orlaff I am practically leaping around with glee only to scream at my eBook 'oh no, no noooooo!' remembering he has a blasted flack jacket on....

I thought that Revenge was a roller coaster of emotion but Retribution...! Well. This one takes the thinking woman's smexy read up another notch. I have books I put in my to re-read cos you love the story and writing. Very few get on.

This one joins Revenge. without a doubt.

I can't even...!

Another three stars from me. Lauren's writing hit the bulls eye yet again.

And now I wait for Nathan's story.
I have little patience so I'm off to read Revenge: An Alpha Billionaire Romance and Retribution again whilst I cool my heels...

I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Andrea is busy finishing school and trying to move on with her life when her father, Peter DeLaCoeur, sends an assassin after her just because she helped her brother take him down. Peter was recently released from prison. He should be going away for life, but a loophole helps him beat the system. Carson owns art galleries around the world. He also takes care of his sister Melissa, whom is an accomplished artist and sculptor. Melissa has something in common with Andrea; Peter is her father also. Melissa asks Carson to reach out to Andrea. When Carson and Andrea meet, it's instant attraction. An attraction neither can act upon due to Melissa's fragile state. After her mother died, Melissa hasn't been the same and has relied heavily on her brother. Carson was adopted into Melissa's family as a baby, but it still seems taboo for him to be attracted to Melissa's sister. It seems as though another love connection is in the works between Nathan and Melissa. Nathan had been Peter's right hand man for years, but now he is helping Andrea against her father.
Back to Carson....there's a darker side to him, one he wants to reveal to Andrea. Could she handle his type of kink in the bedroom? Will he ruin her? Will his sister accept his feelings for Andrea, being that Andrea is her sister? Well there's no time to dwell on this, after all they are being hunted by Peter's men. Andrea's brother, Jackson and his wife, Katrina are along for the ride. Peter wants to enact revenge on all of them. Carson has spent his life looking after and taking care of his sister and he now feels protective over Andrea. Peter wants Andrea and it will take Carson, Nathan, Jackson and Katrina to keep her safe.
It was great how the characters from the previous book REVENGE were incorporated in this book. I loved the interaction between all of them. THIS BOOK WAS EXCITING AND SUSPENSEFUL ! THE SEX WAS ROUGH, HOT AND KINKY ! GREAT STORYLINE THAT FLOWED ! EXCELLENT READ ! ! !

This is the second story in a three part series, it is family based and takes part roughly one year on from the first. Jackson and Katrina along with their baby daughter are off the grid, everything is under the radar.
Andrea has also been hiding but not quite so off the grid, still studying hoping to get her BA. Still keeping up their online monitoring of Peter and the court case, she is in limited contact with Katrina and their friend Darcy.
With all Peters cheating and behaviour it is not a surprise that more siblings are around. With an unexpected visit and news comes a phone call out of the blue to change all their lives.
There is just so much to this on going story not just the individual couples in each book, such a complete weave of hate and crime from Peter's side against his kids and the world. Even the legal system doesn't seem able to hold him for long.
Melissa is so messed up from events in her childhood, Carsen has spent much of his life protecting and trying to help her. Sometimes I felt a bit too much, I understood his reasons but felt that maybe she should have had to stand on her own feet at times. He didn't really have a life of his own at this point, everything was based around her.
With events changing and the joining up of various characters in fighting against the threat to them all, it was good to have both him and Andrea have a chance to let their hair down a bit.
Another compelling read once you start you just cant stop until the end and then you just want more, I went straight into book three from the last page of this.
You do need to read all three books as the main story runs through all, progressing with events over the course of all. Reading just one would not give the full picture and be a bit confusing as to what is going on. There is suspense, intrigue, fear as well as love, strong bonds and a will to live at all costs. It is an exciting ride of ups and downs throughout, plenty to keep you interested to the end and wanting more.

Andrea and Carson’s story 4.5 stars!

Retaliation picks up where Revenge ends. After the arrest of Peter DeLaCour, Andrea, Jackson and Katrina go their separate ways, mostly underground. Nathan Black who was once Peter’s enforcer is feeding false intel to their father in hopes of derailing any clues as to their whereabouts.

With the news about Peter’s downfall broadcast nationally, Melissa Sands’ nightmares are getting worse after she sees Peter on TV. She convinces her adopted brother, Carson, to find Andrea DeLaCour. It’s been a year since Andrea’s disappearance, and while she’s determined to finish her MBA, along the way Andrea lets her guard down. Nathan finds her and so do the Sands. Carson contacts Andrea to explain that Melissa is her half-sister, the product of one of Peter’s affairs.

I don’t want to give away too much, but this story is suspenseful, sexy and intriguing. Great plot line, and I just love Carson and Andrea’s chemistry. I just wished there was more time devoted to them in the story, but given that Peter’s associates are out to kill them, it’s virtually impossible. Yet, they do get some sexy time. Carson finds Andrea’s feisty personality challenging, he’s aware she is the kind of woman who can fill his dark needs. And finally, Andrea recognizes Carson is the dominant man she craves. I loved Andrea’s smart, sassy snarkiness, in reality it’s how she’s hidden the pain over the loss of her mother. She’s determined to get the truth from Peter DeLaCour about her mom’s suicide.

Retaliation is the second book, and the plot gets better and better. You might want to start with the first book, Revenge, to get a better understanding. The continuation is Nathan’s story in Retribution. I find Nathan Black’s character mysterious and intriguing, and I hope he’s got one doozy of a story to tell. I can’t wait.

Wonderful intense mystery. Andrea & Carson along with their team of family and friends are aligned against Andrea's evil, abusive father and the Russian Hitman that he has hired. Thrilling action, non ending drama, nail biting suspense makes this story revetting, engrossing and entertaining. At the heart of this whirlwind are two hearts burdened with darkness from their past seeking to find the light and peace in each other. All is written so well one feels the fear, frustration, excitement, passion, even the tears of loss. I  voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Five stars.

RETALIATION by Lauren Landish

Now that Peter DeLaCour is in jail Andrea, Jackson, and Katrina go their separate ways to try and have some resemblance of a life. Nathan Black who was once Peter's enforcer, has been helping them by given their father false information, attempting to keep him going in a different direction.

When Melissa Sands sees his impending release on the TV, her nightmares start to become worse, and she convinces her adopted brother, Carson, to find Andrea DeLaCour. When he manages to track her, Nathan has already caught up with her. Even with the Sands saying that Melissa is her half-sister, a product of one of Peter's affairs, they're still not sure they can trust the them yet. But once Nathan scopes out the family and decides it appears to be safe, they all head out to go and meet them. Carson is instantly taken with Andrea but his first priority is to keep his sister safe. Can they work together to keep each other and their families safe? Or will their attraction put them in more danger?

Retaliation is book two in the Secrets and Lies series. It's an awesome read and very entertaining. Loved the storyline which was very intriguing. This book has drama, suspense, action, and some intense chemistry between Carson and Andrea. However I did feel that a little more time could have been devoted to their relationship and his quirks. And although I loved this story, I still felt like there was something that just didn't feel quiet right, I just can't quiet put my finger on one specific thing. But saying that overall it was still a very exciting and enjoyable read!

WOW! Talk about a intriguing story that is amazingly well written! The depth of the characters draws you in, and keeps you spellbound. We met Andrea in Revenge, Book 1 of this series. Andrea's half-brother Jackson, his wife Katrina and baby Andrea, along with Mr. Black arrive at Andrea's home. Andrea & Jackson's father Peter is being released from prison, and Mr. Black informs them that Peter is now looking for Andrea.

Andrea receives a call from a man named Carson who says he is her brother, well sort of. Carson is calling for his step-sister Melissa, who is truly Andrea's half-sister. Carson feels that Melissa and Andrea have a lot in common, and that Andrea can help his sister deal with the news of Peters release from prison. They agree to a meet, and Andrea brings the whole family to meet Carson and Melissa.

During the visit Mr. Black informs Andrea that her place has been tossed. Peter is really looking for her, he wants her dead and he wants baby Andrea. The whole gang agree to stay at Carson's place and work together to protect Andrea and the rest of the family. This gives Andrea and Melissa, plus the rest of the family time to get to know each other. Now Carson and Melissa have a connection that's more than brotherly/sisterly. These 2 characters just clicked from the moment they met.

There are twists, turns, intrigue, danger, sexual tension, and healing. Carson and Melissa get their HEA, and I'm looking forward to seeing Peter get his due in Mr. Black and Melissa's story.

This is the second book in this series, and just when you think Lauren Landish can’t get any better she fools you. I think this is my favorite book so far. Andrea has been abused by her father Peter DeLaCoeur for five years. Now she is trying to pass her law classes to keep him in jail. She is in touch with Jackson her half-brother and Katrina along with their baby who is named after Andrea. Plus, Nathan is back to help them. He is going inside as a mole to see what damage he can do from inside Peter DeLaCoeur’s businesses. Then Andrea gets a call from a Carson Sands wanting to talk to her. He tells Katrina who is talking to him that he is sort of Andrea’s brother. Andrea just wants to survive so she decides the best thing to do is to surround herself with people she can trust. Well she isn’t sure about Carson because suddenly he shows up and he has family secrets for her. He makes Andrea feel things she is not sure that she wants to feel. Now she must decide is the assassins that are after her are the greater threat. Is it possible that Carson and his gray eyes are the greater threat? Carson’s main goal is to protect his sister Melissa from her crazy as hell daddy and take Peter down while he is at it. He finds it hard to stay focused when he meets Andrea DeLaCoeur. Now he must decide which is his biggest battle; protecting Melissa and Andrea or resisting Andrea’s lush body? This is a book you do not want to miss.

No Spoilers. Advanced Reader Copy read voluntarily.

Andrea is busy finishing school but that is not going to happen, since her father Peter DeLaCoeur, sends an assassin after her all because she helps her brother take him down to make him pay for his crimes. When Andrea meets Carson, there is an immediate lust, passion and connection. Andrea tries to stay away, to protect him but its so hard to do. Andrea is very honorable yet Carson is always around, and he is very dark and mysterious. There is this mystery to him, about him, his past which causes Andrea to want to develve deeper and get in deep.
Carson is not who he portrays himself to be. He has come to make Peter DelaCoeur’s family pay for what he did and to protect his sister Melissa, especially while she is in her fragile state. Carson also likes things with a bite, with a kinky bite. Can Carson keep things going without hurting anyone? Will Andrea take the betrayal lying down or will she make Carson pay? There is a lot of angst, pain, passion, intensity, mystery and love in this story which plays out from beginning to end. Does Peter get his hands on Andrea ? Or will arson, Nathan, Jackson and Katrina show up in time to save her? Oh I loved the roller coaster of a ride this story took me on, and the old characters from book 1 that showed up. I loved meeting new characters which makes me eager for book 3. You do not have to read book 1 but I would suggest doing so.

~*~ ARC provided by the author in return for an honest review ~*~

I loved Andrea's story. I couldn't put this book down. This series has been fantastic.

Andrea has been living an extremely low profile life while trying to finish school. Until one day she get's a phone call from some one who says he's kind of sort of her brother. Her and Jackson realize they have another sibling a sister named Melissa.

Carson is Melissa adopted brother and he will do anything to protect his sister. What he didn't realize is how much he would fall for Andrea. Andrea didn't expect to fall for Carson her sister's adopted brother. They try to so hard to stay apart and they don't realize they are hurting each other when they really need each other to survive.

Andrea has to tell Carson and Melissa everything about Peter and how he is after everyone but wants only her and baby Andrea. Peter will stop and nothing to get his revenge that's including hiring a Russian assassin.

Carson and Melissa will do anything to protect their family and they will do anything to protect each other.

This was a fantastic read. I love the writing and the concept of the book. The sex scene were definitely steamy and submissive.

What do you do when the worst nightmare you could imagine becomes real? Lauren Landish uses Retaliation to introduce us to another branch of the DeLaCoeur family that no one knew about from Revenge, the first DeLaCoeur novel.

This time, Peter DeLaCoeur (evil father, big time criminal, murderer) is being released from prison because the cases against him are tossed due to lack of witnesses, evidence etc. Nobody wants to stand up against him! He's p**sed at his children and wants them dead. Oh BTW, he wants his granddaughter after he has her mother and father dead.

What the evil Delta Don doesn't understand is that family means something; that together the sons, daughters, half sisters and brothers are stronger than Peter's hatred and jealousy.

Get ready for another emotional ride when you read Retaliation. Lauren knows how to tell a story and keep you guessing 'till the end. By the time you reach the HEA, you feel like you've experienced everything the characters did!

This is definitely one for your personal library.

I received a complimentary copy from the author...

Retaliation is a continuation of Revenge; therefore you must read Revenge to follow the storyline. Revenge focused on Katrina and Jackson's relationship, but now we focus on Andrea's personal life. Andrea is Jackson's half sister and in this book they find they have another half sister named Melissa. Carson is Melissa's adopted brother and when he sees Andrea for the first time there was an instant connection.

Possible spoilers below:

I really wanted to love this book, but there were parts in the book that were confusing and some parts that I just skipped over. I feel the connection between Andrea and Carson was rushed and they went from strangers to I love you in a blink of eye. There was no build up, it basically went from don't hurt my sister she's more important than you to never leave me I need you.

I feel the Peter problem could easily be finished if they all came up with a good plan; but for some reason Peter always manages to escape and is able to wreak havoc on the DeLaCoeur children.

Nathan and Melissa's story is next and hope they manage to finally defeat Peter once and for all.

The second book in this series Andria is hiding out in New Orleans, trying to finish her degree and trying to stay off her father's radar. When Jackson, Katrina, Nathan and baby Andria come to see her and let her know that A: Peter is getting out of jail and B: Peter wants them taken out and contacted Nathan to do it. To make things even more complicated she gets a phone call from Carson Sands, who's sister(adopted) is another of Peter's kids and a complicated mess in her own rights. When the crew head out to meet Melissa Andria doesn't anticipate just how much Carson is going to mean to her. Carson is drawn to Andria the second she steps out of the van, but tries to deny it due to the complicated situation they find themselves in. When they both give in Andria finds the man she can let her control go with and be submissive and Carson finds the woman who can handle his ways. There is drama, a crazy Russian out for them, a crazy dad bent on getting his revenge against his "ungrateful" children and underground hospital stays in store for this gang. I loved this book from Lauren Landish. I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

What I liked or Didn’t like: I loved the way the author handled the family relations in this book and made it okay for two people who are related only by name and not blood.

OMFG!!! I am so loving this series... i have been absolutely captivated since i started book 1 and it has continued through the entirety of this book and has left me NEEDING more!!!
This book is Andrea's story and continues from a very intense situation in the previous book...
I refuse to give away spoilers, which is difficult as we meet some new and intriguing characters in this book...
I will recommend everyone to read this asap because it's an amazing read that you really don't want to miss!!!
With twists and turns that will have you glued to your kindle... i couldn't put it down... it's one hell of an emotional rollercoaster that you get taken on!!!
Also as always... Ms Landish has given her perfection of explosive passion between the two main characters that is off the charts hot, buzzing, energy... and it flows into scenes that will melt your panties and leave you breathless!!!
A brilliant book and i am so desperate for the next in series because as i mentioned... it's written in such a fantastic way... you just NEED to know!!!
A huge 5 stars and i would honestly say that it deserves alot more than that!!!

This is a interesting and intriguing book to read and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. The continuation of the story from Revenge is smooth and flawless and Retaliation has the introduction of new characters added and and still features previous characters from Revenge. What you will find in this book is: A feisty determined woman (Andrea), a rich caring man (Carson), a abusive father (Peter DeLaCoeur,), drama, suspense, intrigue, action, danger, a father released from prison, an assassin, attractions, secrets, memories, fighting, abduction, a rescue, a set-up, an explosion, hospital, threats, repercussions, lust, Emotional feelings, love and erotic scenes. The story-line and plot is well thought out and written. The characters have needs and desires according to their personality. I would recommend this book to people that like to read a extremely well written book from a talented author.

This is book two in The Secret and Lies Series and continues the downfall of Peter DeLaCoeur, who is a rich, powerful criminal with many connections, who's own family brought him down. In book one, Revenge, the story was about his son Jackson and Katrina. Which if you have not read please do so now it was amazing and it will better help you understand this book. This book is about Andrea, who is Peter's daughter and Jackson's half sister, and Carson, who is an art dealer and Melissa's adopted brother. Melissa, Andrea, and Jackson are all half siblings though they had never met. However, Melissa having witnessed her mother's suicide is fragile and sees the world differently. Andrea and Carson both have that sexual tension right away and they both let it stay for longer than I expected mainly because of their need to protect Melissa. This book was great and I can't wait to read the next one about Nathan. I received an ARC in exchange for a honest review.

I received an ARC for an honest review.
This is a continuation from where Revenge left off, and Revenge really does need to be read first, as this is not a standalone. Andrea has been abused mentally by her father Peter LaCoeur for years, and has an assassin after her now, because her father wants revenge for her helping her brother to take him down. Enter dark, mysterious, Carson, who also wants revenge of this family for what was done to his half sister. There is an instant and intense attraction with a good dose of lust, between these two from the moment of meeting. This is a combination of the old and new characters, which is an intriguing and interesting story.
This storyline is full of danger, suspense, action, danger, and love. Another great storyline from Lauren, and cannot wait to read the next book in this series.

This is an amazing series! Andrea has been trying to stay hidden knowing her father wants her dead. Now he is back and trying to find her. When she is contacted by a sister she did not know existed, Andrea's life changes forever. Andrea never thought she would meet anyone life Carson. Adopted brother to her sister, Carson has no blood ties to her. The attraction is instant but is it wrong? Carson has no time for anything except protect his sister but his attraction to Andrea is so strong. Second book in this series and I had to know what was happening. Can they stay safe from the father that is trying to find them? Will they give in to their feelings and see where it goes? Throw in Jackson and Katrina from book one and you have a book with a great story. Looking forward to book three!
