Axel I’m a once-in-a-generation, super-star quarterback. Bad Plays? I don’t make bad plays.
But when Miranda Bach, a.k.a. ‘little Randy’, walks back into my life, my whole world changes in an instant. She was my best friend’s little sister. We practically grew up together.
But now that she’s standing in front of me with the same fiery-red-curls I remember and her sexy as hell yoga pants—she’s anything but ‘little Randy’ anymore. She’s a full grown woman.
And irresistible at that.
Now as my massage therapist, she’s the one in charge of getting me through an injury and back on the field. But when she puts her hands all over me, a million tempting emotions course through my body. Now I only want one thing
Her.
But this is a dangerous game we’re playing. If we get caught it’s a breach of both of our contracts.
Bad Plays? I’m starting to think this might be the worst play of all…
Miranda I never thought I’d see him again. The man who ushered me through my boy-crazed teenage years and countless nights of fantasies. He was everything a girl like me wanted.
And boy did I hate him.
His constant teasing and the way he called me ‘little Randy’ always had me in near tears. So you can imagine my racing heart when I saw him banging on my office door. Now I’m forced to confront all of my old teenage emotions again.
He still seems like the same old jerk I remember him being—arrogant, rude, and all he cares about is money. The last thing I need is to let feelings get involved. I’m a professional.
Sleeping with the league’s most famous quarterback would ruin my career.
Emotions? I’ll bury them deep and do whatever it takes to get the job done…
There’s no way in hell I’ll let Axel Montgomery ruin my life.
Bad Play is a full-length romance novel with a Happily-Ever-After and no cliffhanger. As a thank you to my readers, it comes with a free bonus novel—Fourth Down and Dirty. Because of the bonus novel, Bad Play will end at about the 50% mark on your reading device.
Y no. Error.
Titled story- I'm being generous with 2, it only got interesting way later in the story. Axle a pro football player not sure the position, is a douche, he pays people to do everything even his 'friends' and for Miranda as his 'personal PT' if you do read it it will be way later on. Not to mention he spoilers his 3 year old daughter with presents every other day and he wonders why she gets away with a lot of things and whines when she wants something and he won't get it for her. Really for a 3 year old should not be entitled to ever doll and all the wardrobe it go with a doll and the last doll to discarted. The story was mostly boring and I skimmed a lot until I can get in to the story. The other they are reunited frienemies, Axel and her brother tormented her as a child.
No me gustó nada de nada! de verdad no puedo con este tipo de historias y no me gustan para nada su forma de escribir, ni para pasar el rato lo recomiendo… sorry pero es mi opinión..
Axel is Miranda's brother's best friend...or, ex-best friend. He's really wrapped up in himself, but he has the capacity to love. Miranda is just starting out on her own, and has those fears and insecurities. But why is she so willing to chase one brand of inner peace, when she's so miserable?
Most of the story is pleasant enough...but there was a fair amount of drama over some very blunted edges, which didn't really make a ton of sense. Like a level-six event would get a level-ten reaction. And while the fact is that Axel just doesn't ask any questions, but takes whatever he wants, and that is more realistic than we'd probably like to believe, Miranda asks nothing, either...from any of the folks she interacts with. So why be upset? Still, a decent read for an afternoon.
This is only my second book by this author, but I loved this book much more than Fourth Down And Dirty. That book is also included in this book, so two books for the price of one.
Alex and Mira met each other when they were kids, since Alex and Mira’s older brother were best friends. They weren’t really friends and Alex wasn’t always nice to Mira. Alex and Mira haven’t seen each other for a few years, since Alex moved away for college.
Alex is an amazing football player now, but he has injured his shoulder. No one can help him, until he visits Mira. Mira can’t believe her eyes when Alex walks in her practice. She works her magic and his shoulder feels better after one session. Alex comes back and they get to know each other again.
Alex and Mira are great characters. Mira is amazing at her job and is always professional. She had a crush on Alex when they were teenagers and when she sees him again, she realizes that the crush is still there. She tries to fight her feelings, because he is her patient, but Alex can’t be stopped. When Alex wants something, he will get. Football made him rich and a little arrogant. Mira makes him realizes things that he hasn’t thought about before.
I just wished that they were together much longer when something happened near the end. I felt like that they were just getting to know each other again, but Alex was ready to fight for Mira like he hasn’t fought for anybody else before. He is a different man at the end.

This is a intriguing and fascinating book to read, and I really enjoyed reading it. What you will find in this book is: drama, suspense, childhood friends, a massage therapist (Miranda), a arrogant quarterback football player and single father (Axel), his daughter (Molly), brothers best friend, hired to do a massage, attractions, memories, a connection, a video tape, retaliation, a call, threats from Axel, lust, emotional feelings, love and erotic scenes. The story-line and plot is well thought out and written. The characters have emotional feelings with needs and desires according to their personality. I would recommend this book to people that like to read a good sport romance with a bonus book included which is just as well written.
This book was off to a great start, making me crack up in the first chapter! And just like other books of hers, the romance is super sweet and hot. I loved how Axel was with his daughter from the beginning, though he did spoil her a bit. However, at first she was the only person he seemed to treat decently. And Mira was a bit wacky and all over the place, but they were good together. I received an exclusive arc for my opinion.
I was looking for a book with a little bit of romance and a real football experience and Bad Play fit the bill. The combination of Ivy's strong commitment to her mother and the football player who only cared about himself blended into a good story.
Headline: 3.5 Stars Bad play has a good story line. Kristen never fails at that. I think for me with this book, I just hated Axel too much to truly enjoy it. But that is due to personal problems. It in no way reflects on Kristen’s writing. If Axel would have been different, personality wise, I could have easily given this book 4.5 stars. Regardless, Kristen Flowers is on my list of must read authors. Happy Reading!
