Two years after stepping away from the action as a Coast Guard Rescue Swimmer to become an instructor at the Aviation Training Center, Finley finds herself in charge of the most difficult class of cadets she’s ever faced, while also juggling the taxing demands of having a home life with her partner Nicole, and their fifteen year old daughter. Jordy Ross gave up everything, dropping out of college, and leaving her family behind, to join the Coast Guard and become a rescue swimmer cadet. The extreme training tests her fitness level, pushing her mentally and physically further than she’s ever been in her life, but it’s the aggressive competition between her and another female cadet that proves to be the most challenging.
Sea rescue rather than military, but here you have 3 stories for the price of one - real class and well worth it. Loved this as a follow-up to Never 1. Superb. Highly recommended.
Never Quit continues the story of Coast Guard Rescue Swimmer Finley Morris from 'Never Let Go'. Finley left her post as a Rescue Swimmer to become an Instructor, training future Rescue swimmers. She is finding the new group of trainees the most difficult she had to work with. We are introduced to Jordan and Erika, both trainees trying to make the cut and survive the never ending relentless training...
This book explores the relationships between Finley, Nicole and their daughter Caitlyn as well as the love-hate relationship between Jordan and Erika. The transitions between the two storylines are well written.
Great story! It was good to catch up with old characters and meet new ones. Jordy and Ericka clashed from the first moment of meeting and both women had strong personalities that made them competitive. Finley and Nicole have made a life for themselves and strengthened their love and commitment to one another. The training for the cadets was exciting to read about, really interesting. Good job.
This a much better flushed out story than the first one in the series, Never Let Go (honestly I don't think you have to read the first one to enjoy this one either). This continues Finely, Nicole, and Caitlyn's story and adds two new character in the mix...Baywatch type lifegaurd Erica and Hotshot Jordy. Of course they butt heads and that's pretty much their story in a nutshell. I did find that the balance between telling the Morris family story, training class, and Erica and Jordy's story was a bit of an issue as the focus tended to stay more of the Morris's making E&J basically background. I also felt the issue with Jon and it's resolve was a anti-climactic. I dont know what I expected but it's was not what I got. Regardless, I like where the series is going. And I look forward to reading more...maybe about Caitlyn and Will next
Far better than the first in the series. Relationships in this story are more developed. There is still a lot detail about the training and missions of the coast guard. I personally like that kind of thing but some do not.
This book was hands down one of the best books I have ever read. Graysen's writing gets better with every book. The story flowed so well and the characters were so so well developed. I loved reading about the hate then love relationship of Jordy and Erikka. And the relationship with Caitlin and Will was adorable. However the best relationship was Nicole and Finley. Their relationship made me want that in real life. It was nice to read of them getting their happy ending. My only hope would be another book that goes into Jordy and Erikkas relationships as well as Caitlins future in swimming or rescue swimming. I beg of the author for another book in this series.
3.5 stars rounded up to 4 stars A nice sequel to Never Let Go. It takes place 3 years later. The story focuses on three subjects - the main and my favorite, focuses on the Morris family as they navigate raising a 15 yr old, dating and her athletic aspirations plus Nicole & Finley's relationship. The second is Finley's job as the instructor for the Coast Guard Rescue Swimmer cadets. The various training and physical challenges was very interesting and detailed. At first I thought it might get boring, but it never did. The last is the relationship between two female cadets. This didn't work as well for me. It felt like I missed a conversation somewhere - which is highly likely.
This was a great follow up to first book of this series Never Let Go.
The characters were so engaging and there was a loving level of humor involved that made the story move along effectively. I'm hoping that there will be a third book in this series with Erika and Jordy. I don't feel like their story is totally finished, or perhaps Caitlin and Will's story. These four young women are very engaging and it would be nice to see how they turn out.
I loved Never Quit by Graysen Morgan. I re-read Never let Go to remind me of the characters and their history. This second book is a great continuation of the first book. Lots of action, romance and family relationships. Please keep the story going. If you can get these books onto Audible, I promise to purchase them.
