This book is a story about how it really is to live with cats - when you let them be themselves. It explores how they have chosen to behave in all kinds of situations, over a period of 15 years. Catpasity is a book completely free of celebrity/historic cat quotes. It is a true story about a woman and the cats that have driven her bonkers enough to write a book about them. I am a survivor of a life with cats. This is our story.

This book was just plain fun. It brought back many wonderful memories of all of the cats that were a part of my household growing up and as an adult. Everybody should have cats. The only issue I had was it reminded me of the little fact that in my current residence I can not have any feline friends!

A heartfelt and entertaining glimpse into the life of a person who is owned by cats (!!). There are lots of laughs, some tears, and a lot of 'I know exactly what you mean' moments. This is a book for everyone who is at their own Catpasity as well as anyone who loves a good story. I started this book and did not want to put it down. The author has a wonderful way with words and is a talented narrator. I loved the sections on 'Toilet Time' and 'Daily to-do list for kitten slaves' - really insightful. And the autobiographical parts of the book are beautifully told - an open and honest account of life at Catpasity and a thoroughly recommended read.

Cat fun, cat sorrows

A lovely view of a cat owner slugging trough life, taking the good with the bad, and let the cat cuddles take away the tears and pain, like only cat cuddles can.
Highly recommended, especially if you are considering taking in a cat.

I found this so very well written, with a lot of laughs, but with some sorrow too. The exact life I always found of a cat and us human companions. I've had cats all of my life, and this book really told it like it is, for the cat, and for us humans. I just loved to read and remember so much of my past companions. How much laughter they gave me in every different way they could think of.
It was also very nice to "meet" the 'Catlady' and her cats I've been reading about for quite awhile now online! Thank you Lexidh Solstad, for a wonderful book about the cats so many of us simply adore and love with our whole heart!!
